Here's the latest Cameron Mathison news from SoapCentral. This news seems a little more encouraging. Maybe he'll be at SSW after all! Keep those fingers crossed!

Mathison To Exit AMC ... At Least Temporarily

Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) has decided to exit his Emmy nominated role on All My Children.

Citing personal reasons, Mathison will take a temporary leave from All My Children next month. During his time away, Mathison plans to travel across the country with his fiancée, Vanessa.

"I love my life on the show, but I'm at a time in my life where I need to try and do some other things," Mathison said in a statement. "I shall remain eternally grateful to the incredible team of talented professionals at 'All My Children' and ABC Daytime, many of who I consider my extended family. It has been an amazing four years. I also want to thank the fans for their continued support, loyalty and friendship."

Last year a maelstrom of uncertainty surrounded Mathison as the "Will he stay or will he go" rumors flew fast and furious. After initial reports in a popular magazine that the actor's exit was a done deal, Mathison fired back on his person web site with a message calling the reports "totally and completely not true." Mathison hedged when it came to talking about whether he might leave the show.

"I could re-sign, I could not, or I could just take a little break for a while... I really have no idea," Mathison wrote.

In November, Mathison and show execs reached a deal that extended the actor's stay in Pine Valley. The terms of the deal were never released.

Mathison will exit All My Children in June. A final airdate has not yet been announced. Though he is leaving the show, Mathison will appear sporadically throughout the summer to wrap up his storyline. A setside source hints that the door will be left open for Mathison to return at a later time.

The Canadian-born actor first appeared on All My Children January 12th, 1998.

This might be the last time that I get to check in until after we return from WDW in 2 weeks. I will have my laptop down there with me, but I won't let myself check this thread because I'll be taping AMC at home while we're away, and don't want to know what happens until we get back and watch them all in sequence! So I just wanted to say "hi" and "bye" and "have a nice few weeks" and "I'll be in touch soon"!

And I also think that Mary is a piece of work (that's exactly how Greenlee used to act and speak, when she first came to town! Remember her and her grandmother going to the Glamorama and making fun of everyone in there?!). Very interesting that Tim Dillon and Frankie Hubbard are coming back. Loved when JR punched David in the face! And I also loved Leo walking in on Simone and Roger and telling them off. Did anyone see him on Rosie, yesterday? He was so sweet! Talk to you all, later!

Just got home from my extended holiday weekend trip and haven't had a chance to catch up on the show yet. Probably will have to tape tomorrow too. I hate when I get so far behind but I just have to catch up!

I was so hoping that Simone would tell Greenlee what was going on between her and Roger. I actually liked the scenes with Vanessa & Greens mother today. They sure made Vanessa into a "wack-a-do" (as my friend calls it).

I dont want to see Ryan leave, yes I am still sulking over that.

WAH! I just typed a long post and was about to click "submit reply" when AOL booted me offline. GRRR!! So let me try this again!

I got caught up on the show in a tape-watching marathon this afternoon.

I absolutely love Mary. She's a hoot! No wonder Greens is so screwed up. LOL! Mary has been so much fun that it's almost worth the EWWW factor we've been forced to endure with Roger and Simone to get to this point of the storyline. And yes, Lisa, I remember when Greenlee and her grandmother were just as snobby as Mary is being now. It definitely runs in the family!

All the scenes with any and all of the following characters - Leo, Greenlee, Mary, Simone, Roger, Vanessa - have been hilarious this week! I cracked up when Leo found Roger and Simone in a compromising position and said he thought he was going to be sick. LOL!

Here's a few of my favorite funny lines by Mary...

Mary to Greenlee: "Even if you can't pick the right man at least I can help you pick out the right dress."

Mary upon meeting Leo: "He's very handsome and doesn't look at all like a gigalo." (Then, as Poohbear has already pointed out, she kept calling him by the wrong name. LOL!)

Mary to Roger: "I didn't want to miss my daughter's first wedding."

After Vanessa's phone call...
Mary: "You can't be serious. My daughter is marrying a gigalo whose mother is a criminally insane drug trafficker?"
Roger: "Look on the bright side - at least she'll have a real reason to hate her mother-in-law."

I say keep it coming!

Loved the Brooke/Edmund scenes. It was good to see Brooke admit to and apologize for being such a jerk to Edmund through all this! And I was so happy to see Edmund had a handkerchief to give to Brooke! Do you think my message has finally gotten through to the wardrobe department?! LOL! I will be so sad to see these two break up which we all know they will.

Also loved the Tad/JR scenes. It's good to see Tad keeping it together even around David. I hope he continues to do so. I don't want to see him going off the deep end again!

I cracked up when Trey walked into Ryan and Kendall's room and said, "So, is Pine Valley's biggest fibber ready to take a lie dectector's test?" bahahaha!

What is the deal with Kendall and that dang lighter?! Why was she so surprised that it wasn't in her purse today?! Hello?! How many times has she been told that her lighter was found at the scene of the fire?!

Okay, I guess I've rambled on enough for one post. This is what happens when I watch 3 episodes back to back. Better get this post submitted before I get booted off again!

As far as Mateo's baggy eyes, I noticed that too. From what Kelly says on LIVE! Mark has been going back and forth between NY and CA auditioning. All that traveling may be the explaination. But you would think the make-up team could do something about it.

Then this was posted this morning:

... the character of Mateo will be temporarily re-cast. The new actor, Kurt Cacares, first airs Wednesday, July 3. In questioning the network further as to where Mark Consuelos is going or what he is doing instead of being Mateo, they said they were not at liberty to discuss Consuelo's plans, but reiterated that the re-cast was just temporary.

Hmmm. Interesting if true. It will be weird having someone else playing Mateo for awhile!

I'm off to start washing clothes before catching Jack Scalia on Rosie. She comes on at 9am CDT here. Then I can watch AMC live today since I got caught up yesterday. Yippee!

Hello? Is this thing on?! Anyone else out there?!

Okay, is it just me or is anyone else loving watching Kendall get the shaft?! I was cheering Bianca on when she was telling Ryan about Kendall breaking into the house. I was cracking up at the end when the polygraph machine was going crazy. What a witch! She deserves it! I actually liked Trey today. Stick it to her, Trey, baby! hehe

Were those flashbacks of Bianca starting the fire the original footage? I don’t remember that little girl playing Bianca but it has been awhile.

I hate sick kid storylines and I’m finding it very difficult to work up any sympathy for Hayley since she has been so annoying lately. And if this is all leading up to Arlene being a match for the liver regeneration I will scream! She may be a blood match but no way would Arlene’s liver be in good enough condition to help Enzo. Puhleeze!

Adam when he found out Liza had invited Tad over: “You know if I wasn’t a sweet, trusting, country boy I might think there was a conspiracy going on here.
Tad: “Well, if there is it’s news to me. I’ve been leaving my cloak and dagger at home these days.” YEA! Funny Tad returns!

I’m happy to see Tad trying to get on with his life post-Ditsie. Please let it continue! Enjoyed the Tad/Liza scenes today. I’d like to see them get back together. Hopefully that’s where this is headed instead of Brooke and Tad getting back together.

How weird was that Mia/Adam scene with the necklace? Kind of gave me the willies! I’ve really been enjoying Adam lately though. I love it when he’s on a tear!

Loved, loved, LOVED the Brooke/Edmund scenes at the Pine Cone today!

Edmund: “What do you want to talk about in a cheap motel room?”
Brooke: “Uh, talk is not what I had in mind.”

Edmund: “I love you and that’s why I want to set the wedding date. I’ve got a woman with a great body, great brains and a taste for romance in tacky motels.”

Edmund: “Marry me, Brooke.”
Brooke: “Just name the day, Edmund Gray. Just name the day.”

I am having a difficult time enjoying this romance as much as I would like knowing they’ll be ripped apart when Maria returns. UGH! And to add salt to the wound there was a promo after the show today, “Eva LaRue is back – Monday on All My Children”. I wasn’t that crazy about her the first time around and I have a feeling I’ll like her even less when her return causes Edmund and Brooke to break up.

Well, duh! Just read this theory on PVB. Maria will be the match for Enzo. Sounds plausible to me. But I guess they'll be desperate enough to bring Arlene back for testing before they find out about Maria. Although no way would I want part of Arlene's pickled liver in my baby!

Uh oh, Christine! You just pushed one of my buttons so excuse the rant! It is not directed at you or any other KHC fans. The following is just my personal opinion.

KHC may be a hottie but he was a total jerk when he left AMC. I never want to see him back on AMC or any other daytime soap. I'm sure I rambled on about all this 80 or 90 pages back. Don't make me go dig it up! I don’t think I can relive it right now so soon after suffering through the whole town mourning Ditsie’s death along with the impending break-up of my beloved Edmund and Brooke due to the return of Saint Maria. Sniff, sniff.

So are we still friends?

Could someone give me a quick explanation of the Maria/Edmund situation? Is Maria suppossed to be dead? I watch regularly now but I'm missing a big chunk of time prior to about a year or two ago.
