Did anyone besides me want to slap Ditsie today when she was talking with Jake?! She's hunting down David because obviously she is the only one who can talk any sense into him. Jake suggests that perhaps it wouldn't be such a great idea for her to talk with her ex-lover. She bats her eyes at him and says, "I won't let him get to me." UGH! When Jake tells her no one knows where David is she says, "Well, he can't hide from me" as she sashays off with that smirky-smile on her face. Double UGH!

Still lovin' Tad and Jesse. I won't even quibble the fact that Gillian couldn't get Ryan to see her but Jesse has no problems letting Tad see him. I'm enjoying the storyline too much to pick it apart.

IASW Rider - I'm still waiting for that Laura rant. You might want to wait until after you see today's show. You'll have lots more ammo.

LOL, MaryJ! That was what I was thinking too. Maybe since Jesse is an older ghost he has more "powers". Whatever - I'm enjoying it so much I'll give the writers a little leeway on this one!

Hey All, and you too Aprille! Yes todays show was good, Tad is an accomplished comedic Actor! He is too funny. Of course if Ditsie saw Jessie, she would probably faint anyway. Yep, its time to get Laura committed, and REALLY soon too! Gad, she makes me SICK! Who is the girl that Leo is talking too? Someone new added to the show? Hmmm...............

These guys are hilarious.....after being in tears from the Gillian/Ryan scene...it was nice to laugh at those 2 guys. I hope Jesse sticks around and gives Tad a lot more trouble.

Sorry I haven't been around much this past week...I missed the show Monday and Tuesday, watched it Wednesday and Thursday and missed it today! I am in a losing battle with DS, who is 4 and thinks that Dora The Explorer is more important than Jackson Montgomery!

So, as usual, if IASW could give me a quick update, I would be most appreciative!! I hate that I missed all the good stuff this week, it sounds like it was really good!!

Poohbear, how many more days you got?? Oh, I have been meaning to ask you...any chance I could get you to pick up an All My Children pin for me that weekend?? I would be more than happy to pay you extra for your time!!

I thought Roger was Proteus too. I am thoroughly enjoying Jessie...the scenes with him and Tad are a scream. I woke my DH up laughing when Tad said "I see dead people"!!!

OK so who is the father of Liza'a baby???? It must be Adam if Ryan is leaving the show in Dec.

I think it will be Adams because of the time that she fainted on Ryans yacht...that was just a few days (if that) after she slept with Ryan the first time. But this is the soaps so anything is possible I guess.

I hope they keep Jesse around for a while, I too am loving his scenes.

In an effort to change the landscape of All My Children's teen sector, Jesse McCartney has been replaced as Adam "JR" Chandler, Jr.

As reported last month, the rumors of McCartney's exit started when AMC put out a casting call for a character by the name of Dan. According to a network-issued description, "Dan" was a teenager who comes from a broken home. When the casting call was issued, one network source hinted that Dan might not be a new character, but rather a recast of an already present Pine Valley resident using a fake name.

According to a show spokesperson, JR will be "aged" several years and, upon his return to the screen, will be in his late teens. When JR returns to the screen, he'll be played by newcomer Jonathan Bennett.

The decision to recast JR may not be popular with AMC viewers. In a recent WT? On the Spot poll conducted by Soap Opera Central, 65% of poll respondents didn't want to see McCartney leave the role of JR.

In fact, McCartney's work was not just well received by fans, but also by his peers. The actor received a Daytime Emmy nomination this past year in the Outstanding Younger Lead Actor category.

"I had a wonderful time and substantial growing experience as an actor while I was [with All My Children]," said McCartney via his publicist.

McCartney will focus his post-AMC attention on his singing career with the teen group Dream Street. AMC viewers may remember seeing the group on the show when JR and his friends competed in a talent contest at Pine Valley High.

A first airdate for Bennett has not yet been announced.
