Today's show...what was up with Laura? Did she take some kind of backbone pill this morning or what? And to go off on Bianca in front of Erica!!! I thought she was mean to Bianca and such an attitude to boot!!

As for Hayley and Mateo...where did they come up with that name??? Yikes!!!

Of course this will come as no surprise, but LAURA IS REALLY LOSING IT!! That dripping purse today was just too much! YUCK!

Then I saw the previews for Monday's show. I really don't want Chris to be the one that turns out to be this Proteus character. Especially if he turns out to be some relative of Ryan's. (I'm leaning towards him being an uncle instead of his father. He resembled the man in the picture, but I didn't think it was enough for him to be his father. I'll probably be wrong though because I don't think the way that soap writer's do. )

How gross was that wet, dripping purse?!?!? All I could think of while she and Greenlee were talking in the bathroom was that Laura needed to go wash her hands! YUCK!

I DO NOT LIKE the direction the Chris Stamp storyline is taking. Not only am I beginning to believe that he is indeed the father who beat Ryan as a child I also think he may turn out to be Proteus. I guess if he's a child-beater he might as well be a drug lord too. HATE IT! I hope I am wrong on this and that this is just what they're wanting us to think right now. I hope, I hope, I hope...

This is even worse than the Elliot storyline and that's saying alot!

I also hope that Chris doesn't turn out to be Proteus....but he seems to be a little too sympathetic to Ryan and bothered by the mention of the word "buddy" to also be the father who beat him.....unless he was brainwashed before he became a spy....or a druglord.....as I said yesterday! You guys are right, though - he is never around when Mateo receives those calls. Wait - they made a point of saying, today, that Proteus can make himself look like anyone - maybe this guy "Chris" is really Proteus, but there is another "real" person who looks exactly like him and is REALLY Ryan's father (??!!) And where has Tad been, lately? He should be joining in the all-out PV war against drugs! It's interesting how they're bringing so many characters into the story line.

What was with Laura's face, when she was ripping up Greenlee's photo / ad??? OK - she's added a third facial expression to her repertoire - "bared-teeth-anger" combined with "squinting-eyes"! I also wanted to smack her when she was so mean to Bianca yesterday. I really hope that a time comes when Laura needs Bianca again, so that Bianca can spit in her face! I'm enjoying watching the "catfights" between Laura and Greenlee (dripping purse - yuck!), but doesn't Greenlee realize that the person she should be mad at, if anyone, is LEO, not Laura. He's the one who's with Laura by choice, no matter how Laura is acting or what kind of person she is. Greenlee should be attacking Leo, if anyone! I can't wait to see what erupts if Leo goes along with Laura's "public wedding" idea! Or will they wind up sending her to Oak Haven just in time for Brooke's return from her business trip, so that she can blame Leo for making Laura "crazy"??

And I know that I've said this before, but why doesn't this Laura have any recollection of her life with Janet and Pierce?? One would think that when Hayley received that gift from Trevor that maybe Laura may have been remotely interested in Janet's whereabouts???? Guess not!

I think Chris may be the dad too, but no way do I think he was the one who beat Ryan. First of all, that would have to be him in the picture Ryan had, and Ryan was old enough when he left to regognize him if he saw him again. Plus the way he told Erica that you always had to put your children first.

My other thought with the word "buddy" was maybe Chris was an older brother who left before Ryan and Braden were born? I know that's a stretch though LOL.

Usually I can miss a day or so and not feel like I missed much, but from what you guys are saying, I obviously DID miss a bunch yesterday and half of today. Can someone please give me one of your wonderful updates?
As for Chris being the one that beat Ryan, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that Ryan would remember what he looked like, and there certainly hasn't been any twinge of recognition. Maybe Ryan's mom left Chris for this guy, and that's why Chris hates the term Buddy. As for him being the head of the drug ring, I also don't beleive that. He was with Erica when Roger was talking to the drug guy on the phone in her office. Mateo thought that the calls were originally coming from Arlene, and that's what he asked Chris about. He didn't know it was about drugs until he received the money. I also didn't think that you could trace cell phone numbers.
Oh well! That's my $.02 worth for today.

Any time, Baboo! Wish that I'd had time to write it all out, myself, but ABC's recaps are far better than mine, anyway! The past few days have been pretty good - it looks like the "action" is picking up in many of the storylines! While I was on ABC.com, getting the link to the recaps, I looked at some of the bios of some of the newer cast members - it says that the actress who plays Rosa is married! And she's playing a 16 or 17 year old??!!

Leo has some fun in New York City with a woman companion.

Greenlee gives Jake some professional advice as he gets upset with her malicious behavior.

Frankie reveals her reasons for being in Pine Valley.

Tad is surprised by Jesse's ghost appearance and a warning not to kill David.

Tad's temper is out of control and he tries to explain his feelings to Jesse.

Here is what Cameron Mathison says about the rumors of his departure (taken from soapcentral.com)


Mathison: I'm Not Out Yet


Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) has broken his silence regarding a recent magazine headline that announced that he had decided to quit his role on All My Children.

On his official web site, Mathison addressed the reports, saying that they are "totally and completely not true." The actor confirms that he is in contract talks, but declined to state exactly where the talks are at. "I could re-sign, I could not, or I could just take a little break for a while... I really have no idea."

It appears that the rumors of his departure started when Mathison's name was dropped from the list of soap stars that would be attending ABC's annual Super Soap Weekend in Florida. His name has since be re-added.

At the AMC Fan Luncheon held in Manhattan, Mathison told fans that he did not want to leave AMC. However, Mathison also dropped hints that there were still a few wrinkles that had not been ironed out during the contract talks. Among these wrinkles, says an insider, is Mathison's desire to work on projects other than AMC.

Mathison joined the cast of All My Children on January 12th, 1998, as a shady character trying to make a quick buck off of faked whiplash injury. As it turned out, he was in the right place at the right time. Ryan was coaxed into donating blood, blood that would eventually save his future cousin-in-law's life.

Shortly thereafter, Ryan became fixated on the beautiful Hungarian princess Gillian Andrassy. The pair's relationship was turbulent, but in the end it was clear that they were very much in love. Gillian's death this past summer brought an end to one of AMC's most beloved couples. It also left Ryan without a love interest -- and many fans stated that they were not ready to see Ryan find a new love.

Mathison's contract is set to expire in late December. A show spokesperson reminded Soap Opera Central that they do not comment on rumors or contract negotiations.
