Beanie - actually my parents have satellite but they get all the network channels out of Amarillo so no AMC.
They moved there from Austin about 10 years ago and the first time I visited them I started looking for my soap. My mom doesn't watch so she didn't know if or when it came on. I couldn't find it in the local listings. My cousin finally told me it didn't come on there. I was like, whaaaat?!?!?
Amarillo is a fairly good-size city. I think the population is close to 200,000. They have 2 newspapers, for crying out loud. Houston doesn't even have that anymore! (Don't get me started!
) I have no idea why they don't broadcast AMC.

LOVED Liza growing her brain back. Marcy Walker and David Canary were both at the top of their game today. I had forgotten what a good actress Marcy was until today. Kudos to her! David Canary was also outstanding, as usual. Liza told Adam that being with him was like living with an addict only his drugs of choice are power and control. She can't live like that anymore. Adam finally accepts her terms which will keep her and Colby in the house. He tells her how much he loves her and is sorry for all the pain he has caused her. She tells him actions speak louder than words and if he doesn't live up to his end of the bargain they could be divorced within 6 months.

I'm loving the new suave, debonair, mysterious Jake. Greenlee obviously is too!
She doesn't understand why he wants her when he knows how she feels about Leo. Jake plays it cool. He wants to show her how good things can be. Uh huh.
They make love. He gets called to the hospital afterwards. Greenlee has a very satisfied smile on her face after he leaves. I would too!
I actually kind of enjoyed the Ryan/Mia scenes today. Ryan shows up at a bar. I can't tell where it is. I don't think it was one of the "regular" places. Maybe it's that dive Adam use to own. He orders a tequila shot and a beer. Mia comes from the end of the bar and tries to pay for his drink. Ryan goes off to a table to be alone but, of course, Mia follows him. She shows him a wad of money she won in a poker game. He tells her it's dangerous to be "flashing that much coin" in a place like this. He keeps trying to blow her off so she says she is going looking for Liza. Ryan advises her against that and tells her she's having it out with her husband. Mia thought she had taken the baby and skipped town. Where is she? Then she grabs Ryan and kisses him. He tries to push her away but she begs him to kiss her again so the guys who just came into the bar won't see her face. Too late. Big Hairy Biker is at their table with a couple of buddies. He accuses her of cheating him out of his money. Ryan says, "She does that." LOL! Big Hairy Biker threatens Mia which Ryan takes exception to and so he gets in Big Hairy Biker's face threatening to kick his butt. Mia grabs Ryan's keys off the table, runs out the door, starts his motorcycle and revs the engine. VROOM, VROOM! Ryan runs after her. Next time we see them they're pulling off to the side of the road. Mia is driving and Ryan is on the back. She tells him his bike needs an oil change and he better take care of it soon. He yells at her for taking his bike. She says she was just keeping him from getting beat to a pulp. He says, "Oh, so you were
helping me?!" I thought they were kind of cute together today. I guess Mia is growing on me. But I reserve the right to change my mind. LOL!
Leo and Laura had it out. I think Laura actually grew some of her brain back too. I saw some brief glimpses of it today anyway. Leo is still trying to convince her that he loves her but she finally made him admit today that the only reason he married her was because she was about to die. She had an "episode" during the argument and I thought, uh huh, she's faking it but the way the scene played out I guess she wasn't. She told him she wasn't sick anymore and he was free to go. I think this made him see how much he really does care for her but I'm getting so bored with this storyline I may have nodded off. LOL!
Tomorrow's previews show Ditsie slapping David. Witch! I'm sure he says something to deserve it but it takes two to tango, honey! She always tries to pass herself as Miss Innocent. Puhleeze!
...oh wait, I forgot...I stayed because my husband lives here too! ROTF...Hopefully someday, we will sell our house and move to Florida like I want!!
