I agree with you all! Too many "whodunnits" and "mysteries". I'll be happy if I never have to hear any of the following phrases again:
"........it's the Cambias curse......."
"Zach is responsible for everything. Lock him up and throw away the key......"
"...........a baby shouldn't be kept away from its momma........"
"I'm gonna make life miserable for you, Dr. Death, and that piece of trash I used to call my wife......."
"Stay away from my daughter".
"Stay away from my wife".
"Stay away from my brother".
"Stay away from Zach Slater."
"........I know that you hate your father, but revenge isn't the answer......."
"I know what I did was wrong, and I will regret it the rest of my life......."
"I will not rest until he is behind bars"........
"You're my brother, man, and I've got your back........"
All I want to hear is a judge say "THIS CASE IS DISMISSED" and have every single legal / murder mystery on the show solved at once!
Very interesting "3-way catfight" between Maria, Erica, and Brooke, yesterday. I liked the way that Brooke defended Maria. Erica really did say some hurtful and inappropriate things - it was almost like her being in Wildwind brought back memories of the time when Maria had the affair with Dimitri, when he was still married to Erica, and she was taking that out on her all these years later, by accusing her of betraying Ed-dumb with Zach. She really shouldn't have gone over there and started antagonizing Maria, Brooke, and Anita. Also, Erica and Jack keep blaming Anita and Aidan for what happened to Lily - it wasn't their fault - they weren't purposely flaunting their romance in Lily's face - they were having an intimate moment and didn't know that Lily would show up! I think that Jack and Erica are being totally unreasonable about that, especially since all Aidan and Anita ever wanted to do was be friends with and help Lily. And Aidan will ultimately be the only one who will be able to get Lily to open up and tell what she remembers about what she saw in the barn, I'm sure.
Even though blaming Ryan's shooting and Greenlee's poisoning on Braden is TOTALLY LAME, that was a pretty good scene, yesterday, with Ryan threatening Jonathan. I think that Jonathan's acting skills have really improved a lot since he first came on the show. It would just be so lame if they totally tried to "redeem" his character now, and make him a "good guy", explaining everything away by saying that his purpose in coming to town was to protect Ryan from Braden. (How does that explain all of his lies and sneaky looks, his purposely messing things up at Fusion to make Greenlee look bad, all of those beverages that he kept giving Greenlee, etc.?) Very stupid.
My favorite scene yesterday was when Greenlee confronted David about why he never helped her when he said he would, and the look of surprise on his face when he learned about Jonathan's hurting Maggie and Bianca and Maggie's having left town without saying goodbye to him. He really deserved all of that. He had close familial relationships with Greenlee, Maggie, and Bianca before he even knew that Babe existed, and yet he abandoned all of them to deal with Babe's mess. I was happy to see him so hurt, angry, and surprised at all that he'd "missed". He deserved it when Greenlee told him that she no longer wanted him to look out for her or be a part of her life. (Speaking of which, where has Greenlee's mother gone? It's usually when Greenlee is in moments of crisis that Mary shows up and offers some useless, selfish advice! I guess that she either went to the famous medical conference or is spending her days snooping around the Chandler Mansion, trying to get good blackmail dirt on Adam and JR!)
