They are going to make this about how she always regretted her original choice to abort..excuse me terminate...and how now Erica the wonderful gets a second chance. Too bad..most of us regular people have to deal with the ramifications of our choices..be they good, bad or otherwise. They make us the people we are they develop our character and make us stronger...only with Soap people..they get to change their minds...and come back from the dead(Dixie about how many times is this now)...and fix it so that it never happened...aka...the walking talking stolen fetus...Josh!

I think we can guess where this is gonna go, first Josh will be angry (like Kendall), try to get revenge (like Kendall), feel bad (like Kendall) and finally after an excruitiating storyline reconcile (like Kendall).

Did anyone notice that it looks like they are making Josh have a similiar personality to Erica? The way he was talking about he was so "great & the world was just waiting for him". Erica was disgusted by it, yet that is the personality she has portrayed for years. I just found it funny.

They really should have Erica act her age, however, I think that's the whole thing with Erica. Her character is one of those women that can't face the whole aging process. That's my take on it anyway, but what do I know!

Yep, he definitely has her ego! I think she's prettier now than in the 70s! She has a great plastic surgeon.

Yes, that flashback only highlighted how much plastic surgery Susan Lucci has had, since then! She DOES look great, now - but you're all right - they really SHOULD put her in some more age-appropriate situations - not a Las Vegas showgirl costume! And I also agree with you all that they were trying to show how much Josh reminds Erica of herself, yesterday, and that's why they showed that flashback - Erica remembering when she was young and ambitious and ready to take on the world and everyone in it, just as Josh was saying that he always KNEW that he was destined for greatness, or whatever. And I ALSO agree that we will have to go through the whole Kendall-Erica-relationship-arc with Josh and Erica, too - with him hating and resenting her, seeking revenge, and then ultimately reconciling..........of course that all will take YEARS, just as Kendall's and Erica's relationship changed and developed over years........... UGH.

In addition to Dixie having 9 lives, do you know who else does? Kendall's baby! To begin with, it was a "miracle conception" - Kendall's egg just "happened" to be ready to be fertilized, and it "worked" on the first try. Then the baby survived the fire at the bar, and Kendall's being knocked unconcious and inhaling of smoke. Then the baby survived Kendall's being hung up in that hammock, on the Fusion roof. Then the baby survived all of Kendall's Zach-and-Ryan-related emotional trauma. And now, the baby starts moving for the first time (even though we can barely see "evidence" of its existence), as Kendall is trapped in the rubble..........

I also wondered if Marian was going to be the one to die, when we saw her for the first time in a long time, the other day (I really hope that that won't be the case!), and especially since Adam seems to have forgotten that Liza and Colby even exist, long ago. On the other hand, they still haven't found Palmer, Adam, or Krystal, and we saw big pieces of plaster, etc. fall on Jack and Ethan..........and Dixie doesn't seem to be in a big rush for anyone to find her...........

At least there was a tiny bit of "comic relief" on the show, yesterday, when Amanda regained consciousness and immediately asked Jamie to have sex with her! :)

i thought Ethan was supposed to be the one to die?
ughh...why couldn't it be jonathon...he's soo boring to watch on tv..
i'm watching right now.

That explosion caused Kendall to really "pop" out! Wow! I haven't watched in a few days. And, not to be picky, but the first time you feel the baby move it is way too small for anyone else to feel it. That was stupid!

HAHA pembo i was just about to type that!

ughh why isn't dixie saying anything to Dr. EVIL over there trying to pretty much kill palmer?? its sooo annoying, i get they want to drag this out, but come on!

When Zach just mentioned that he loved Ethan, i just about died, it's sooo sweet...sorry but i'm a huge Zach fan! and an even bigger Zach/Kendall fan!

Does anyone else find it odd that these people are trapped together in these cozy little concrete cubbies...having these very deep conversations instead of screaming for help....and lets face it..if a building were collapsing on them...there would be some pretty gruesome injuries. Kind of odd....?

Maybe the writers would want you believe that the first times that Kendall felt the baby move she assumed it was gas? :teeth:

How many months along now is Kendall? Didn't this whole black out/insemination thing happen like 5 or 6 months ago. It feels like it happened 1 1/2 years ago.

I want to know how Dixie can hear all those quiet conversations people are having when she is (supposedly) buried underneath a bunch of rubble.

I want to know what Josh found out about Erica that made him feel all powerful if it wasn't his parentage.

My wife and I were commenting about the explosion as well. Here in Chicago you see the results of a natural gas leak and it's resulting explosion. The buildings are usually levelled. Also, since the gas is still leaking, until someone shuts off the main, the resulting fire is extrememly intense and takes out neighboring buildings. The natural gas in Pine Valley must be different since the fire was extremely small and the building is not a small pile of bricks. We were also remembering something like this happening before in Pine Valley with an explosion or something and falling chandeliers and Julia having her face horribly disfigured. Anyone else remember that?

I wonder how they are going to kill Ethan. He seemed fine yesterday.

Ah yes, Auntie - but they have to have time to drag out the "big, dramatic scenes" before allowing them to acknowledge their true peril and scream for help!

I realize that they have to "drive the points home", but how many times can we listen to the same conversations, over and over again, over the course of 2 episodes? :

ERICA: "Josh, who ARE you?"
JOSH: "Who am I? I am who I am. I am the miracle baby. The one destined for greatness."

KENDALL: "Why did you ruin my life?? Why did you take everything away from me?? Now, I have nothing."
RYAN: "You have me. And you have this baby."

ZACH: "What kind of father do you want?"
ETHAN: "Not YOU. I hate you!"

PALMER: "Give me those pills!"
DAVID: "No!"
DAVID: "Give me my medical license back!"
PALMER: "No!"

DIXIE: (to herself) "Wow, I can't believe that I really risked everything I loved to sleep with David.........hmmm..........some of those memories are actually pretty nice.........."

JR: "WHERE IS BABE???!!"

Over and over and over and over................. LET'S MOVE ON, ALREADY!

Did anyone notice how Lily told Jonathan that she is "almost 18" and therefore can make her own decision about going back to her former boarding school? SORAS is occurring before our eyes, in the wreckage of the Mardi Gras Ball!

Sorry about that, Sarge - we must have posted at exactly the same time!

You are remembering the GREAT PINE VALLEY TORNADO that leveled most of the original PV houses (ie: sets), so that everyone's house looked different, after it was rebuilt. That was the disaster in which Julia's face became disfigured (temporarily).

OH yea! I remember it now. Weren't many of the characters together at a party when the storm hit? I think I see a pattern here. Julia should be counting her lucky stars that she didn't get a feather jammed into one of her eyes after this explosion! What was up with that horrible dress!

Another thought. JR will realize what he almost loses when he can't find Babe and when she is rescued he will marry her and sign her pre-nup. At least I hope so. I am so sick of their bickering back and forth over prenups and parental rights.

I totally agree about the character saying the same thing OVER and OVER again. That is totally frustrating. I have seen where some of these soap actors talk about how they have 35 pages of dialog to memorize(poor babies)...but honestly they could sum it up in probably 2 pages...ONE time. But noooo...we are idiots that need to hear the same thing again and again and again. and...oh sorry about that....thought I was trapped in a concrete cubby under my house or something! :confused3 I remember when the shows were only a half hour(I'm dating myself, I know) but the story progressed much more quickly because they didn't devote half the show to close ups of eye's moving side to side...or pouting for 5 minutes. They had to convey the message of the scene in a limited time span. It managed to keep the viewer INTERESTED...not bored. :rolleyes1 I'm beginning to think the writers get paid by the word. Oh well..just my 2 cents.

The truth is that you can tape a show and really speed through the boring parts..and be done in say 20 minutes. I know that's what my daughter and I used to do before soap net. When we are away in the summer there is no soap net..which I generally enjoy since so many repeats are on in the summer. We are too busy during the day to watch many times. I find that I can tune in once a week...and pretty much be all caught up. Truth be told, I find myself watching more in the winter if I'm home. In the summer...lord the story really never moves...I remember when poor Natalie was down in the well...until after LABOR DAY! :lmao:

Actually, Lily is probably at least 20 or near 20. She was first played by Michelle Trachtenberg who is now at least 20. She was on as Lily from 1993 to 1996 and she had to be at least 8-10 at the time. So this really isn't a case of SORAS, but instead SOSAS (Soap Opera Slow Aging Syndrome) which also has hit Erica, Kendall and others on AMC. Quite the opposite of DOOL.

I haven't seen today's show, and have only seen parts of recent shows. You all have made good points about what is wrong with the whole thing. What struck me is how Tad et all are looking for survivors, but the firemen are not? Maybe today they got involved?
