I find myself doing the same thing. I have it on, but do not feel compelled to actually sit and watch it for the entire hour. It is background noise unless something is going on...

It's sad that the show is losing their faithful longtime viewers and not doing anything to attract the next generation of viewers.

Maybe it's just me but it's the little things that piss me off. Part of the "soap" life is the glam clothes and unrealistic love and work life....that is part of the reason why I like the show....it's unrealistic realism However the other day when Jonathan called the credit card company and got personal info....well that kind of writing loses me. It tells me that the writers are lazy and they can just write what ever thay want and who cares...maybe I am a bit detail oriented....but things have to make sense to hold my attention.

Hey Auntie! I remember how Port Charles went down the tubes too....that entire vampire thing. It started out OK...kind of like a Dark Sahdows kind of thing. Then there was the Rebecca painting storyline. The girl in the painting came "alive" It went downhill fast! They did the same thing with the lead actress Lucy Coe on that show as they do with Erica. She was way too old to be wearing the skimpy short mini skirts and half tops and she acted like an idiot....

I know what you mean..I loved Port Charles when it first started...with Kevin and his father and Patricia Crowley..remember her...owning the bar..and her sons. It was very warm..sort of down to earth...and then they started with the wierd stuff..and it really got awful. Especially once the vampire situations started..it was all Kelley Monaco..and her "girls".....the woman hasn't worn a shirt that has buttoned in years. I didn't even mind the story where one of the sons was communicating with a woman from another time..some 25 years earlier....but when that whole vampire thing started..that was just so dumb. Especially since it was a spin off of GH..these people originally from that show were now fighting vampires..ala.."Buffy"..why they tried to compare to that was beyond me..it was never going to last.

The thing with Jonathan...you are right. With credit card fraud today..what company is going to just give out that info? As you said they just couldn't be bothered with coming up with another way for him to find out this information..maybe they figured the teen audience they are going after wouldn't know that. Only they aren't watching either. As if the teens who aren't home when this is on..and aren't going to be watching it on Soap Net..care about this anyway.

Funny I watch AMC , OLTL and GL and have since I was born because that is what my mother watched. I still watch all three and right now the one that I can not get enough of is AMC.

Thank you! I was beginning to think I was the only one on the planet actually enjoying the show. LOL! And I am a 33-year viewer.

I also know I'm WAY in the minority on being absolutely, positively thrilled that Cady is gone. I am a Ditsie-hater from way back. I just hope they murder her good. Like Gillian with using her heart to save Laura. I want absolutely NO avenue in which Ditsie can return. Ever.

Woohoo - no suffering through yet another Tad/Ditsie gagfest reunion.

Well..I think they shouldn't have brought her back if they have no intention of really developing a story for her..They really did nothing with her in regard to Tad. Everyone knew that Zach was going to wind up with Kendall..so there wasn't much there either. It kind of bothered me that they broke up Tad with Di...I thought they were cute together..and now Dixie is getting tossed anyway. Makes me feel as if it was a waste to watch these stories where poor shattered JR finally forgave her...and she came back to heal the "wounds" of shattered Pine Valley, only now she's gone. Kind of odd.

If we were to have this conversation a year or so ago..I'd agree with you. Only now..I feel as if the past year has been nothing but repetitive..and gone absolutely no where. Bringing in more kids and getting rid of old time favorites..and not really with anything to show for it. Like beating a dead horse. I loved when Babe and Jamie were on the run..and JR through poor Bianca off the balcony..even when Bianca was pregnant..or came out..all good stories..but we've come full circle..and here we have Babe with yet another triangle..Josh. Which frankly was the most bizare story of all. Almost offensive ..the "Fetus Martin" story. That makes me cringe and the fact that he changes his career like I change my shoes?. You get rid of Edmond..Maria...Brooke...David...now Dixie..who they brought back to heal all of Pine Valley(how dumb was that anyway). I don't know..it's just not something I actually sit and watch all the way through anymore. Although I do love talking with all of you about it!

Maybe the show is going to be renamed "All My Grandchildren". And it will be shown on Sat morning on ABC. Right between the Emperor's New Groove and Lilo and Stitch.

Jonathan apologizes to Maggie for all the pain he caused her.

JR and Bianca commiserate over their similar trials and tribulations.

JR pulls Babe into a passionate kiss.

Jack has a heart to heart talk with Jonathan.

Tad and Jaime believe that David is behind the murders.

Ryan keeps quiet about his connection to Emma.

JR takes an incriminating picture of Babe and Zoe in bed together.

Adam is less then thrilled when JR admits that he's conflicted over his feelings for Babe.

Zach finds a note that simply reads "She's dead" just as the killer aims a rifle at an unsuspecting Kendall.

Ryan gives chase after he spots someone hiding in the shadows.

Erica manages to talk Kendall into closing Fusion down temporarily.

Enraged by failure the killer stabs at Kendall's picture with a needle.

Josh injects Zach with truth serum.

Kendall is annoyed when Annie begins to gush about Ryan.

Josh is stunned by Zach's confession that Tad was the one who killed Greg Madden.

Ryan is left reeling by Zach's drug induced revelation that he is Emma's biological father.

Ryan tells Kendall that Spike is not staying with her while a killer is on the loose.

As much as I feel they didn't do much with Dixie..I think it stinks we have to watch Tad grieve for her AGAIN. Makes me feel as if the year was wasted thinking they will reunite them..on any level..be it parents or husband and wife.

Yea, I don't like Dixie much, so I don't really care about her leaving, except as it affects Tad. I like Tad and wanted him to be happy. I always wanted to see him get together with Brooke, but that's not going to happen, either. Who's left for Tad? No one in his age group, that's for sure.

I'm not that crazy about Tad with Krystal either. I sort of like her with Adam.
In fact..if they go that route it's really almost like the whole Tad/Dixie/Adam thing all over again. Only this time the child is Tad's and not Adams. I don't know sort of a been there..done that..sort of thing for me.
I too would have liked to see him wind up with Brooke...that would have been nice. I'm sure he'll be one of the major characters with a larger salary that they will give the axe to in a year or so. We'll see.

Am I the only one here that thinks Krystal is a little old to be having a baby. Given that her "babe"..is supposed to be how old. ..who even knows. I just think while she is an attractive woman..she doesn't strike me as being in her 30's..I'm thinking she looks more like 45+...not that there's anything wrong with that..I'm in there too(49)...but anyone I know of that age would be a little upset about a pregnancy at that age. I know...people are having babies
much older than they used too. I had my son at 22 and even then no one had a child..most of my friends were closer to thrity or well into their thirties.
Also...Please... Adam...the guy is REALLY getting up there to be playing "who's the daddy?"...can we get this guy to a urologist already. A little snip..snip..and we won't be seeing this story YET AGAIN!

Josh, truth serum, are we sure he isn't related to Dr Hayward somehow? Haven't we seen this before too? ugh.

I'm not a Dixie lover either but I hate to see her killed off, I was kind of liking the scenes between her and Tad. That poor boy deserves to be happy.

No one has mentioned Erica and Jack. I'm SO disappointed that they didn't let them be happy for a minute. It was such a huge build-up putting them together only to be ended so quick. blech. He can do so much better anyway. lol

Another Krystal hater here...I'm so tired of her and "baby-doll". Babe is a slut, she sleeps with everyone but her hubby and then says it's his fault. ugh

I'd hate to see the show go but I don't like where it's headed now.....
