I was thinking the same thing about how the room filled up, out of the blue, too, Lilboo! That was very strange!

And why would Joanie even want to be at yet another party where alcohol was being served, after she whined so much about the party at the Chandlers'? She was such a jerk for telling JR about Laurie and Jamie - I'm beginning to think that her only purpose on the show is to be annoying. I don't know what any of those kids were doing at an "adult" party.....or why Laurie and Joanie's parents would have let them go, after the disaster at the Masquerade Ball.

I also think that Carlos will wind up being Greenlee's secret admirer, Sarge. Very strange, though - I can't picture the 2 of them together. I can't believe that at one point yesterday, Carlos said to Reggie "....oye me!" PLEASE! If he's going to mix Spanish and English (Isabella-style), fine......but "oye me"??!!

And you're right, Sarge - I can't believe how cruel Erica was to Opal. Opal needs to stand up to her more often. Remember when Erica hired Tom Wopat to pretend that he was falling in love with Opal, last year? What kind of "friend" would do that to another? (Even though Opal never found out that Erica had hired him, and that storyline just disappeared without an ending, like so many others recently)

And it WAS nice to have a break from Maureena, Ed-dumb, and Aidan, Lilboo!

Oops - sorry that I missed you, there, Sherry! I also thought that those dresses were kind of "slutty" and unprofessional........then again, as Sarge said, look at what Erica wears to the office, and she's the "Queen of the Cosmetics Industry"!

Actually my wife's family all speaks Spanish, they came from Cuba in the early 60s (wife was born here).. So hearing Oye Me in the middle of an english sentence doesn't surprise me. If my spanglish doesn't fail me, it means "Listen to me." I have heard my in-laws say it frequently as well. When we go to visit family in SoFla I have to laugh because 1/2 the conversation is in English and the othe 1/2 is in Spanish so I had to learn fast. Of course when they get to speaking really fast, I tune them all out and after they are done talking I say, "OK now what were you talking about."

Speaking of all that I have a funny anecdote. The other night my MIL was talking and she tends to say 'ours' in place of 'us.' Like "He is going to come with ours." ( She actually speaks English very well, but that is one of her carryover's and I never corrected her because I thought it was kind of cute.) Anyway my 6 year old son finally corrected her the other day, it was so funny, he calls her ABA (short for Abuela) and said, 'Aba, you are talking funny, its us, not ours.' It was so cute, she explained to him why she said what she said, and the fact that she was originally from Cuba and that's why Aba has an accent. For some reason he new that both his maternal Grandparents spoke with an accent but never connected that it was because they were from another country.. ...Then I had to explain to her why I never corrected her before.. You had to be there, I guess. Long story short, Spanglish in sentences rarely surprises me anymore....

I missed Tues show. But here's my 2 cents about Monday

I thought the dresses on the Fusion girls were AWFUL! They looked like lingerie! And Kendall's had that awful bra-thing like Erica did not too long ago! Like mother like daughter.

Joanie looked like a tramp for such a good girl! And frog-boy, dh wants to know what is up with his hair?

Opal looked good though.

My favorite scene--Jake and Alison in the closet! Woo-hoo got to see alot of skin even if only for a minute!

Tad and Lissawhateverhername is! Loved it!

Supposedly, Monday, February 24 was Jake's last air date. So, what's going to happen? Does he just disappear off the face of the earth? Or did they recast him? Seems weird if they didn't to end the storyline that way. I didn't realize that the last I'll ever see of J. Eddie Peck was of him in his underwear-I would have saved my tape if I had known that.

Watching the show right NOW!!!! Anna is going to have the baby taken out of her, for some reason or another, and of course, David is there to hold her hand. Yes, I agree Tad and lisa whatshername were good together, I just didn't like the fact that NO-ONE came to the party, and than 20 seconds later the room was FULL with NO explanation! Must be those "GREAT" writers again.

LOL, thanks.. Yes Poquito means a little. My MIL is a wonderful lady, we get along so well! She tells everyone I am her 3rd son.

One of the things I do when I am down there is let people talk around me in Spanish and then reply to them in English. A lot of people don't realize I understand what they are saying I do that in grocery stores too, hehe...

I haven't posted to this thread in EONS, but after watching days and days and days... of the stupid Fusion party, I had to see if anyone else thought the 'women of Fusion' dresses were as inane as I did. My immediate reaction was the 'sluts of Fusion', not an image I'd want to project as a business person. I'm sorry but those dresses looked cheap, not only tacky, but $-wise too.

(Although it doesn't sound like I am missing much) but I did see Simoaaaaaaaaan's dress and if that is any indication of what the others look like I can see what you mean. When Simone was arrested she really did look like a call girl.

Yes!!! The dresses not only looked "cheap", but, you know, CHEAP in the monetary sense...they looked like they were made out of some cheap nylon-y materials used for kids' halloween costumes...bleeech.

OK, I just wanted to pop in about Lysistrata. For some reason I thought her name was Lysistrata...but what debknight says makes sense too...Liz Estrada.

BUT the FUNIEST rendition is Christine's...LYSTERIA, like the food contaminant!!!!! BWAHAHAHA!!!...is that a CHRISTINE original or is that what they're calling her on other boards? I like LISTERIA...she needs to be in more dancing scenes with Tad. (His dancing!!! Haven't laughed so much since he got into an "old guy" fight with David.

Sarge - I hope that you weren't offended by my "Oye me" comment - I have tons of friends who speak "Spanglish" on a regular basis, was an honors Spanish student (once upon a time!), myself, and am quite used to hearing it......I'm more used to hearing "......listen to me! Oye!" than "Oye me!", though......maybe it's a North East thing! Anyway, I would love to come and join you and Faith in your multilingual conversations and discussions of the show, if I may!

I think that Liza, Adam, and Greenlee's therapist's name is really "Lysistrata", because her business card (as given to Greenlee by Liza) said "Lysistrata Schwartz"!

WOW - that was some scene between Maureena and Aidan, today! It would be very weird to see her regain her memory and decide that she wants to go back to Ed-dumb, after THAT!

I suspected that Anna and David were going to name their baby after Leo - I predicted "Leonora" - "Leora" is close enough, I guess! It was amazing how quickly Anna healed and was ready to get up and go see her baby, after her C-section, wasn't it?? It didn't even seem like they had time to close the operation before Anna was actually holding her baby! Regardless, I have to say, the scenes with Anna and David and their newborn were very touching!

I can't believe that the scene in the closet may have been Jake's last - where is "THE BIG CONFRONTATION" with Mia, over Allison?? Or with his parents over letting them down?? I can't imagine that he would just disappear, without a trace.....but then again, Frank did......! ("THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCES OF THE DOCTORS OF PINE VALLEY HOSPITAL....."!!!")

I have no idea where they're going with this Trey and Reggie thing. Although it's a good storyline, it's a good one for characters that will continue on the show.....not a good way to write someone off ......(can you tell that I still haven't accepted the fact that they're in the process of writing Trey off the show?

It was nice to see Greenlee back to her old, sharp self......but this whole "sex" thing is getting a little trite...!

Pembo - Michael arrived on the scene and acted all possessive, Kendall backed off from BoydBoydBoyd, and BoydBoydBoyd exited gracefully (but not happily). Michael asked if he had competition and Kendall asked "would it make a difference"? Then Michael said all these corny, romantic things about how Kendall is the only one for him, and offered to take her to his Villa in Tuscany, and everything seemed all right. Then he disappeared (when Kendall said that Greenlee had called a post-party meeting.....which just turned out to be the 4 Fusion girls drinking champagne and complaining about men), with no explanantion. I still think it's weird that Greenlee was so suspicious of him, yet it's clear that Kendall is still openly seeing him.

Sarge - "Sister Christian" - perfect name!
