I just watched Friday's episode from SoapNet. Greenlee says to Binks "Leo loved your singing, so will you sing?" WHAT! When has Binks EVER sung before on this show???? Am I missing something here?

Hearing her song the second time, I really like that song and she doesn't sound half bad. Her voice is odd but it kind of grows on ya.

It wasn't her singing; I think-and this may be a really unpopular opinion-it's just BINKS herself that annoys me...very weird bc I was so neutral about her before.

What changed?

I thought Eden sounded great singing at the memorial service. I only knew it was her because I had read about it on PVB before watching it on tape. We were interrupted for the Wellstone story and when we came back the singing was already in progress.

lilboo - your opinion of Bianca would be mainstream on PVB. I happen to love Bianca but she gets trashed pretty good on PVB. But then there are lots of Kendall-lovers over there too and I loathe Kendall.

Okay, this is especially for Lisa. (I sure wish the Houston Chronicle would have these soap articles on their website so I wouldn't have to type them out all the time. )

Page finds a place on ‘AMC’

Sam Page came to All My Children as Trey Kenyon in March with no soap opera acting experience. Yet his first day he was paired with veterans Rebecca Budig, who plays Greenlee Smythe, and Marj Dusay as Vanessa Cortlandt.

“They could have eaten me for lunch,” he says. “But the best advice I got was from casting director Judy Wilson, who told me that these women were terrific, and to watch them and take what they give me. I did.”

Page came to AMC after trying his luck in Los Angeles for four years aiming for the movies. Then he met Wilson, and he was ready for the move to New York.

Barely a month after joining the show, Page landed on People magazine’s 50 most eligible bachelors list.

A graduate of Princeton with a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology, Page appreciates the grind of learning new things.

“I worked very, very hard, but I created a work ethic there that has stood me in good stead. What I learned at Princeton was how to learn. I learned to be a sponge. That was what I did for four years. Last week I worked every day on two scripts a day. It was total immersion. But Princeton taught me how to prepare.”

When he joined the show, Page was not given any background to his character. His character always has been shady at best, perhaps downright dastardly. Now details about Trey are rolling out.

Without revealing too much, Page says, “Let’s just say my genealogy goes a lot deeper than it seems now. It will reach a lot more people in Pine Valley. It is a lot of fun. Trey is not what he appears to be, and we will start to see that.”

“Despite popular opinion, Trey does have a heart.”

Hmm. I’m wondering if this was written before we found out that Richard Fields was Trey’s father.

Erica told Chris she won't invite her father to their Christmas wedding. After Zeke put Maria under hypnosis, she remembered feeling safe with David. Palmer was impressed by the way Kendall handled Aidan's overly "friendly" female bar patron. Brooke tried to persuade Adam that they shouldn't be sleeping together anymore.

WAIT TO SEE-- David fears Maria may be remembering too much.

liliboo-Binks kind of annoys me too, always has and I too am not sure why. Her singing surprised me!

Aprille-Everything in that article is what Sam said during his interview on SoapTalk. He is really smart and played baseball for Princeton (not easy to do). His major was something to do with biology. When he told LiIsa and Ty what his senior thesis was--everyone in the room was confused. I like him much more after seeing that interview, he is so very cute when he smiles.

I don't know if any of you get T.V. guide, but there was a story about how much some of the sitcom stars make per episode-they were talking about the Friends cast. Well, it also gave some comparisons to other people. It said Susan Lucci makes only $1 million a year. I thought-That's such a small amount! I know it's a lot to regular people like us, but compared to what other stars make and how long she's been on the soap, I thought she would have made a lot more than $1 million a year. The other soap stars must make much less, and the new ones probably don't make much at all.

I think I have to rethink this Jack Scalia thing. He probably can't afford me.

P-I have heard soap stars make maybe $1500-$2000 per show they do! That's not a whole lot. Is that $1 mill total for LaLucci just for AMC-doesn't she have advertising contracts and stage performances and such?

I believe the $1million was just for AMC. She probably does make more for endorsements and such. I'm just surprised that the figures are so low especially when compared to other TV stars. Maybe that's why soap stars are always trying to move on and up. It seems like a lot of work compared to a sitcom actor for a lot less money.

Hi all!!

Just stopping in to say hi!!! I haven't watched the show in months!! I just don't have any time anymore in the afternoons now that Andrew is in Kindergarten! You would think I would have all kinds, but I try to volunteer for as many things as I can at his school and then with Savannah not having anyone to play with while he is at school, I have to keep her busy as well! I am trying to keep up with the show through SOW and I am so sad to read that Leo died!! Did they find the body? I am asking because I am sure if they haven't found it, he will be resurrected someday!

Aprille, I always think of you when I see Ditsie on that other soap! LOL...Does anyone watch the show she is on now?? I am just curious if she plays another ditsie blonde in that one too!

Sherry...I miss ya buddy!!! At least I have you on the other thread though! Speaking of which, Sherry and I have been talking AMC on the Ya Ya thread too! She is catching me up on stuff there!!

lilboo - I was also repulsed by the prospect of Adam and Brooke together again (hasn't she been punished enough?! ) but, much to my surprise, I have found myself really enjoying them. I had forgotten how well they play off each other. I still gag a little every time they kiss but I'm cracking up the rest of the time. LOL! Julia Barr looked like she almost started laughing a couple of times today. I don't know how she held back.

ok..well yesterday when i thought that i missed AMC due to the time change, i don't think that i did! i didn't get a chance to check my tape yet, but when i was here at work, i ran into the break room to turn on the last few minutes of the show. when i turned it on, it was an old movie or something. maybe. it looked like it was jane fonda or someone and she and her hubby were fixing up her mom with some crazy loon that lived upstairs...

i don't have any idea as to what i was watching...i'll have to check my tape to see what recorded!

How are you all doing?

Belated thanks for that great article about Sam Page Aprille! I used to work in Princeton.....so for four years, Trey was just a few miles away from me, every day, while he was in college.....*SIGH*....! (OK, so he's 9 years younger than I am, but who says that he might not have been interested in an older woman? Hee hee! )

I'm actually kind of enjoying the Adam and Brooke scenes! Hey - they're a lot better than the typical, bland Adam and Liza fighting scenes, right? I hope that they do get divorced, so that Liza will finally have something interesting to do, other than skulk around the Chandler mansion in her drab clothes! Isn't Winifred an idiot? She always gets herself into trouble by butting in and saying the wrong thing! Anyway, I just hope that Brooke and Adam don't get caught - then she will REALLY be viewed as the "scarlet woman" of PV! I have a feeling that Tad might catch them, then get so mad at Brooke for going back to Adam that he starts spending all his time with Liza, then he and Liza get back together.

OK, so we finally have some insight into why Simone's father is so mean to her......or do we? I don't get it - his being upset about Simone's brother explains why he's rude to Frank (and you just know that in a few months, Dr. McMillan and Frank will have a father-son-like relationship!), but it still doesn't explain why he's so downright rude to Simone, herself! Are we to assume that it's because he had such high hopes for Anthony, but now is "left" with only his "disappointing" daughter? I don't get it! I'm actually really starting to like Simone, now - I like her with Frank, and I always feel sorry for her when her father slams her. Much better than when she was with Roger or Mateo - I couldn't stand the sight of her, then! But what will happen when Mia tells Frank that they had a child together? And what made Mia decide to do that, all of a sudden, after months of standing her ground with Jake? Is he THAT persuasive??

Greenlee was great, yesterday, when she told off Trey and Kendall and the reporters and even punched Donald Steele in the nose! I wonder what they will do with her character, now - David is her only real "friend" - will they just have a bunch of plots where she competes with Erica for "best cosmetics executive"? I hope that they don't put her together with Trey too soon (though I think that they will inevitably do that).

Will Aidan and nuJR fight over Kendall, now that Aidan has "lost" Maureen to Edmund?

Is ANYBODY running Tempo magazine or Chandler Enterprises, these days? It doesn't seem like anyone at all (with the exception of the dedicated hospital staff - even MIA was seen working, yesterday!) has gone to work lately!

I think that they should have some sort of tribute to Vanessa on the show. True, she's responsible for the loss of one of the favorite characters (Leo), but Marj Dusay did an amazing job, all these years, even with some of the stupid storylines they gave her, and she deserves to be remembered and acknowledged, too! Maybe they can have a scene where Palmer remembers their good times togethe

I have to admit too, that I am finding the scenes with Brooke and Adam more fun than I thought I would. At least it is a change of pace from the dour home life he and Liza have been having. This may work out if the writers play it out.

I want to know what is up with Simone's dear daddy? OMG, can that guy be anymore of a jerk? Demanding Frank be fired and strutting around like a Rooster. So his son is sick, did Simone inject him? Did Frank? He treats Simone like a peice of crud and for what. He should be happy he has one healthy child and help her to be happy. If I were Simone I would walk up to her darling daddy and do this <br />

The handwriting is on the wall, it looks like Anna will get back with David, maybe they will be the new Adam/Liza, making up and breaking up numerous times per year... Only time will tell.
