I have to agree that the whole Leora/Anna/David thing is just dreadful! Did they have to show Anna picking out a casket and Leora's clothes? I think that is in bad taste. Couldn't they have just done one of those dumb musical montages of Anna going to the funeral home with Jack and been done with it? Very poor taste, IMHO. And David is just a jerk!!!

What did they do to poor Joe Martin's hair? He needs a new hairdresser, he looked dreadful today. And why did he go to see David at "the cabin"? David hates him, always has. "I'm hear on behalf of Ruth." What?????? Let's end this storyline and FAST!


pnelson-That is really weird stuff about Jack Scalia. Asking for $$$ for a new ministry. As the wife of minister I can tell you that is just not how it should be! If you have a good ministry, the $$ will come on its own. UGH!

Hope tomorrow's show is better........



btw-Anyone else think that the Funeral home looked alot like Stuart's gallery or is it just me?

That's wild about Jack Scalia and his ministry. I would be very leery about donating to him. It is mentioned on www.jackscalia.com and the direct link to the ministry is www.gfcministries.org (GFC=God, Family, Country). The Chrisagis brothers are mentioned as his partners. Maybe those more familiar with the less mainstream Christian movements have a clue as to who they are.

I can't seem to open the site since the flag is taking too long to load. Maybe others would like to look around on the site.

I have to agree, the show was very sad and depressing today. Cant we have some storylines to make us smile or laugh? I did get a chuckle out of Greenlee's comment to Binks about her marching in the Main Street Gay Pride Parade(forgot exact words, sorry). That was cute - wish I could have seen her say it - I was in the kitchen getting my dinner ready.

I don't think the Chrisagi Brothers are ministers-They've been Jack's webmasters since he started at AMC-They answer questions for him and seem to know everything that's going on with him. They're kind of like his agents, but they're not officially his agents???? They also organized his AMC fan club get together. It seems very sad in a way. I don't think Jack's acting career has really gone the way he wanted it to. He says he has always been a born again Christian. There is no way I would send money-I can be a fan without donating money!!! I also didn't send money when he was soliciting for his 9/11 charity.

OK - maybe it's cool to only me, but . . .

I just got a call from a friend whose daughter will be appearing on AMC in a very short term recurring role . . . as a 5 yo Leora! Leora's "spirit" is scheduled to appear to David today, 6/9, 7/3 & 7/4. I've got the VCR set so DD can see her friend!

She appeared on CSI last year (I think.) Her sister played young Cosette in Les Mis for a couple years, ending in Aug '02. They've done a number of commercials & other shows as well.

How's that for fluff?

Greetings, once again, from WDW!

I'm sorry - I still won't let myself read any of your recent posts, so that I'm somewhat surprised by the AMC plots when I see this week's shows on tape, when we return. But I just wanted to say "hello"! We inadvertently caught about half of Wednesday's episode on SoapNet, here, so between that and Aprille's updates, I have a vague idea of what's happening this week, but I still want to be a little "surprised"!

It's been very rainy and humid, here, but we're having a great time! Time to head over to the Brown Derby and Fantasmic, now! Hope that you're all having a great week!

Deb -- Your friend's daughter was very cute. Even before I read the thread, I was thinking that she should give "Maddie" a few pointers on believability.

PNelson, thanks for the background on Scalia. I really enjoy his acting but this side venture smells like a scam. It's terrible that he turns to his fan base looking for donations.

There's another actor that you see quite often, he's even on a soap now I think, who was on Dr. Phil recently. He's probably only a little older than Scalia and is having trouble dealing with the realization he won't ever be a "star", even though he has worked consistently throughout his career. Maybe Scalia has a touch of that too.

Hi Girls - Back from Calif. and SSW. Had a blast despite the sun burn on my face and nose! I had a great time at SSW but really only got in autographs lines on Saturday, my aunt and uncle came up to visit me at the park on Sunday from San Diego. I did mostly OLTL stars lines since I've met most of the AMC stars before, but did get into Liz Hendrickson's line first. She's a cutie. On Sunday I was able to go to the last Casting Call of the day with Walt being MC and Marc Menard being the star. It was a very entertaining and funny show. First they had three girls audition with Walt and the audience (casting directors) picked who would do a scene with Marc. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad that I had time to go see it.
Now I'm comtiplating on going to the AMC luncheon. I didn't buy tickets earlier because funds have been limited and I had a few other trips planned but now I'm thinking seriously about it again. Still trying to catch up on the shows (I watch all four abc soaps). I'm up thru Wed. shows. Saw the latest pics of Cameron taken by my girlfriend when she saw him last Wednesday and he still looks a good as ever! He'll be back on the show before you know it!

I also was able to meet Max Alexander (Carlos). He was very warm and friendly and enjoyable to meet. I was never big on the Carlos character but to meet his portrayer in person has me watching him more intently. He is very handsome and sexy and is sincerely happy to meet every one of his fans.

Mathison Returning to AMC After Year-long Hiatus

Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery), a former Daytime Emmy nominee, will return to All My Children this summer, reprising the role he created in January 1998 and vacated last year.

Mathison joined All My Children in January 1998 as a conman looking to score some quick cash. His role grew over time and became one of the show's more popular characters. His work on AMC earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2002. Mathison exited his All My Children role in July 2002, an exit that at the time was called "temporary." Mathison and then-fiancée Vanessa Arevalo planned to get married and Mathison wanted time off from the show to spend with his new wife.

"I love my life on the show, but I'm at a time in my life where I need to try and do some other things," Mathison said in a statement. "I shall remain eternally grateful to the incredible team of talented professionals at 'All My Children' and ABC Daytime, many of who I consider my extended family. It has been an amazing four years. I also want to thank the fans for their continued support, loyalty and friendship."

On April 20th, 2003, the Mathisons welcomed their first child, son Lucas Arthur Mathison.

During his time away from All My Children, Mathison found work in primetime television, appearing on such series as the popular CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Word of All My Children's desire to bring back the character of Ryan Lavery surfaced several weeks ago when a casting call went out for a character simply named "Ryan." Traditionally, casting calls use bogus names to thwart speculation about what is really going on behind the scenes. According to an insider, the casting call was a smokescreen to hide the fact that ABC and Mathison were already involved in negotiations.

A spokesperson for ABC declined to comment on Mathison's return. It is not clear if Mathison had always planned to take a year off from All My Children as originally hinted by his "temporary exit" last year, or if he had to be lured back to daytime television.

Mathison's first airdate is being kept under wraps by the network, but he is expected to make his debut during (or near) the first week of July. </i>

Alexandra Daddario (Laurie Lewis), part of the All My Children cast for less than a year, has been let go. She will make her final on-air appearance later this month.

Daddario joined the cast of All My Children in October 2002, in was originally slated to be a short-term role. Show execs were impressed with the newcomer's work that they quickly offered her a contract.

Bumped up from recurring to contract status after just a matter of a few months, Daddario was set to be an integral part of the show's teen scene. Laurie was paired opposite of Adam "JR" Chandler, Jr., but when JR was written out of the show things quickly became bleak for Daddario and her character.

Though Daddario's Laurie was placed in a romance with Jamie Martin and her relationship with her alcoholic father were briefly explored by the writers, Laurie has seen little action and her purpose in Pine Valley has become questionable.

A final airdate for Daddario has not been announced and an ABC spokesperson declined to comment on Daddario's status. Messages to Daddario's rep were unreturned at "post time." </i>

Christine, well some of your spoilers happened in today's show. Jake returned and told Mia he was engaged. There was the terribly sad funeral of Leora. Tad attended even though his father tried to tell him not to. David came to the funeral late (Anna had finally gone on without him) and "saw" Leora again. He is also boiling over with hatred towards the Martins. Erica found out that Greenlee arranged Lena's job (Kendall spilled the beans) and she is not happy.

Christine - you are correct in guessing that Greenlee is Jackson's daughter. I read it as confirmation in one of the soap mags that I get. This was something that I thought would come out months ago, the last time Mary was in Pine Valley.
