All I Want For Christmas is My Two Mouse Ears//December '08 UPDATED 12/03

Im here im here, let the party begin.

glad you started a PreTR...looking forward to more...to bad our trips dont overlap, but i will enjoy reading youre report.

AHHH! Im so glad your a BWW fan, I opened the Shereveport Location and have worked at the bossier city one....who's your friend that works there...might know them.. :D
:cool1:

Guess who's birthday is tomororw? MINE. :yay: I don't know what we are going to do for it though. I know I do have to go to work. :rotfl: Hopefully there will be some Disney stuff involved? Hmm.. I guess I'll have to get back to that tomorrow.

BUT speaking of suprises I am trying to plan something to do for Ryan while we are in Disney. It's not his birthday or any special occasion (well except for the fact we are going to disney) but I just want to do something.. I need you guy's help! And I have been told he has a few tricks up his sleeve so I have to do something. Come on guys.. help! :cool1:

Other than that I am thinking of canceling my Tony's ADR just so we will have a lot of time to do the party instead of wasting an hour or two eating. What do you think about that? Maybe we could get CS or eat a late lunch. Still not sure about that.

Speaking MVMCP ... my tickets came in a couple days ago. :yay: The cinderella one is for me and Ryan gets the Mickey Mouse one.

Next Update: The search for Disney shoes: the flip-floppers nightmare. :rotfl:

Your ADR's look great. In my opinion we reserve the right as woman to change our minds as many times as we see fit!! :rotfl: And as far as character meals we love them too with or without kids. As a matter of fact my husbands must do each trip is the Crystal Palace, but for the food not the characters.
Yay.. that means Ryan will like it. :thumbsup2

i love the title of your trip

i'm sure you'll have fun at christmas time........its one of the best tmes to visit. Just be warned that the christmas party is VERY busy no matter when you go.

as for the character meals, i love the characters too and i dont like waiting in line in the parks (and i hear mothers say things about why am i talking up a spot that could be alittle kid:sad2: ). me and my fiance always go to two or three chracter meals every trip!!!!!!so who cares that your kidless

It's my dream to go during Christmas so I'm sure we will have a great time. I hate when people think Disney is only for kids.. we can like characters too.

Happy Birthday....wear comfortable walking shoes...I wore summer hiking shoes

Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy the day!!!

P.S. I am a flip-flopper girl myself (I have worn them in November.) But believe it or not, I don't mind wearing them at the parks at all. They are so comfortable to me. And I'm not talking expensive flip flops either....I sport the 2 for $5 ones from Old Navy. ;) Can't wait to hear what you pick out!

Happy Birthday. :cheer2:
Mine is Sunday!!

I too am a flip flop fanatic. I usually wear them year round depending on the weather even at Disney. Reefs are my brand of choice and I have never had any problems with them walking through the parks. If it is too cold I will wear my New Balances.

I have too admit the last time we were at Disney I decide to try a pair of crocs out. Nobody be mad but....... I hated them. :confused3

152 Days:sick:

Hi Everyone.. I am Katie some of you know me, but most don't. :flower3: I am fairly new to the DISboards as I just found it when I started to plan this trip so please bear with me.

So how did this trip come to be? Well I've only been dreaming of it since my last trip.. and when was that you ask? 1996 :scared1: Every year I say I am going to take my money and go to Disney. Easier said then done when you are a broke college student. :lmao: BUT it is REALLY real this time my dream has come true and I'm coming home. :yay:

COMING ALONG FOR THE RIDE
ME Katie (20) - A college student majoring in Elementary Education. A disney Addict. First word was Mickey. (no joke) Dreams of going to Disney everyday. Other than Disney I love Desperate Housewives, (favorite show ever!) some reality TV, scrapbooking, and taking pictures.

DBF Ryan (21) - The love of my life and my bestfriend.. we have been together for over 3 years. Sometimes I really forget that we are so young. He has been to Disney once when he was 16. He loves to go, but is making me do all the planning becasue "the planning is more of my thing." He LOVES football .. mostly LSU. (Geaux Tigers!) He made a deal that he would wear disney shirts with me only if I wore matching LSU shirts with him one day while we were there. :sad2: DEAL! I couldn't dream of sharing this dream with anyone else.

This all started about a year ago when I first mentioned to him how bad I wanted to go to Disney. (Well I'm sure I mentioned it before this.) We kind of blew it off until a couple of months ago when I mentioned it again. Our trip was originally going to be December 2009. :headache: Then one day I guess the Disney Fairy sprinkled some fairy dust on Ryan when he was at work and he came home and said "Book the vacation for December 2008 .. I can't wait that long." :woohoo: So I booked 5 nights at Pop Century from December 15-20. Christmas is my favorite time of year and Disney is my favorite place in the world so it just clicked.

It still seems like this really isn't happening even though I know it is. :confused3 I have been waiting for this momemnt for so long. The time is dragging like you would not believe so I got an idea. I would start a PTR so I could talk to people who loved Disney just as much as me! :thumbsup2

I am going to leave you guys with this goofy picture of Ryan and I.

Your first word was Mickey ~ I LOVE it! My little one calls him "mouse" it is just so cute the way that he says it.

It sounds like Ryan is a keeper ~ he is so sweet to not make you wait until 2009!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It won't be long before, you are celebrating :santa: with Mickey.

Also, I think moving the Tony's ADR like you mentioned may be a good thing. I had early ressies at Chef Mickey's 5pm and I LOVED it there, but I think if I had it to do again I would probably schedule a nice lunch somewhere and be there right at 4. But at the same time, Tony's is in the "middle of it all" so I could go either way on that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :bday: As for ideas, it depends on your budget. Have you checked out www.disneyflorist.com? They have a lot of great ideas that you can have delivered to the room for him, or you can call them and talk to them about some of the things important to your Dbf, and they will help you come up with something unique and special. You can have a special cake delivered to your table at one of your meals. There's a cake hotline for that. You can set up a special tour that he might enjoy. Those are just some ideas off the top of my head.

Character meals for adults are great, by the way. We absolutely love them. We love taking pics with them, too.

Looking forward to reading your flip-floppers nightmare. I am going to be wearing flip-flop Crocs on this upcoming trip. :woohoo:

happy late birthday, wait a minute did i miss it?

or when was it?

Thank You so much it was a great one. I will update about my b-day soon. I think I am going to move Tony's.. I think it would be less stressful.

Thank You for the birthday wishes. I am not completely sure what I am going to do yet, but we'll see.

happy late birthday, wait a minute did i miss it?

or when was it?

My birthday was Monday. So you were right on time I believe. :lmao:

Oh you started a pre trippie! Yay! Love the pic of you and Ryan. We do that all the time too!

Flip Flops...I'm southern and live at the beach. Need I say more!? :lmao: You know the hoopla about how comfy crocs are...well, they make flip flops too! This is what I am trying at Disney this time. I should have mine tomorrow! I know a lady that sells them on ebay. If you want her name lmk. I can't wait to try them out!!! I got Disney ones too. I'll take pics as soon as I get them.

Your ADR's sound good! We love the characters too. I wish I would have went to more CM's before we had kids! Look how many we have booked...crazy I know but they're so much fun. They're dressed cute at Cape May Breakfast too and the Lilo and Stitch Breakfast is awesome! Look into those too!

AND HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!

AND HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!

Woo Hoo! Thanks for joning me.

I wear flip-flops constanty (even most of the winter.. I live in Louisiana) but I am skeptical of wearing them to Disney because of all the walking. I think the arch on my foot is breaking so I am trying to find a good pair of walking shoes. Maybe all of the foot issues are becasue of the flip-flops, but I just can't help it. :lmao:

I may add one of those breakfasts just because, but I still not too sure .. we aren't really breakfast people. I'm lucky if Ryan eats a bowl of cereal before work.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Hey guys sorry It took me so long. Ryan and I saw the new Batman tonight. It was really good.. Ryan really likes batman. But back to disney :lmao:

I decided to post my ADR's I have made so far. I might change some around just because I constantly change my mind. :rotfl: So I'm sure by the time December rolls around I will have something different. :lmao:

Feel free to make any reccomendations for us. Just keep in mind we are both picky eaters.

Day 1
12/15 - Liberty Tree Taven (D)

12/16 - Chef Mickey's (B)
50's Prime Time (D)

12/17 - 1900 Park Faire (D)

12/18 - Crystal Palace (B)
Tony's Town Square (D)
This is also the night we are doing MVMCP.

12/19 - Whispering Canyon Cafe

I keep going back and forth with where I want to go and I just can't make up my mind, but I am a woman so what do you expect.

Also I only made Dinner and two Breakfast ADR's. We are going to do CS for lunch. Please don't make fun of us too much for doing that many character meals without kids. :lmao: I really like the characters if you can't tell. :woohoo:

Your ADRs look good - but you may want to check if the LTT will still have Characters when you will be going (I forget the dates when Character Dining ends there ...)

We'll be doing Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare for the first time this year ... (watch out for those evil stepsisters ... )

Have you booked your CP breakfast for EARLY - like 8:00 am - so you get into the MK before it opens? Something to think about ... and you won't reget it ... :rolleyes1

So what parks are visiting which days?

And a big "hello" to the rest of the December "gang" (you know who you are ... :thumbsup2 )

We're on board for a December trip:cool1: Our last day:sad1: will be your 1st day. I'd like to begin a pre-trip report but I still haven't finished my August 2007 report. I'm hoping to finish soon so I can begin another one:thumbsup2

Yes I believe they will have characters when we are going.. I don't THINK they are getting rid of them until January? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

My CP breakfast is for 8:05 .. I did that on purpose because I heard how nice it is when the park is empty. :goodvibes

As far as which parks on which day.. you will have to wait for me to update for that. :lmao:

YAY for all my December people. :thumbsup2 I hope you do start a pre-trip.. I am going over to your August TR now. :wizard:
