All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Hahaha oh I never have to rely on a sign to tell me to eat!!! :rotfl: I love all of the little fun activities around DHS, like the hula-hooping outside of 50's Prime Time! And yay for WL fountain wishes!! :goodvibes

See, I told you and others agree!
We appreciate the reliability and honesty of your reports. Keep up the good work!

Memom--- I so enjoy your reports both for the Disney info and excitement AND seeing your family grow and change. Reading your reports make me feel like I have cool friends in other states ( and I dont even post or comment much!!) I have learned soo much from your reports and the other reports of your faithful followers that have made my family's own trips sooo much better!! Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your memories!!:cool1:

Please continue to write your reports I look forward to them. They are my Disney fix until I take a trip. Plus I enjoy disney looking at the shops. It is cheaper than visiting and buying. I have made many list of things to buy and try from your reports.

It has also been fun watching Brooklynn and Bella grow, and I look forward to the pictures of the next little princess.

It has also helped to have found a prayer partner when needed.

I am glad they give you a Disney fix, and you are so right on it being cheaper than being down there buying things! ::yes::

It's a privilege to pray for and with our DIS friends. :)

Good to know you don't need the signs to tell you to EAT. :thumbsup2 I'll have the #2 please. It's funny to see the Halloween cups after spending 6 months reading about the Christmas trip. :lmao: I know I am a little late for this part, but please dont stop doing your trip reports. I read all of the older ones last August while recovering from surgery. They gave me some much needed smiles and helped me plan our trip last year. It has been fun to follow along with this one and be a part of the group. :)

Surprised you with those cups, did I?

That's some crazy reading material you picked to heal up by! :upsidedow

I'm still reading along and really enjoying your reports. Please don't ever stop doing reports. I truly enjoy your reports. They're REAL!

I'm glad you're keeping us going with the October trip. I'm really looking forward to this trip. You have to do a report.

I wasn't really saying we should stop doing reports as much as I was saying I want you guys to make sure we stay in the frame of mind of doing Disney World trip reports with a little bit of our family fun mixed in and never let it get turned around the other way. Keep us honest and focused. :thumbsup2

I don't need a sign, either. Maybe that's my problem. Maybe I do need a sign, and I can only eat when the light is on. I am horrible about eating off and on all day when I am at home in the summer.

You are at Animal Kingdom Lodge, are you not???
Go do something fun, woman!!!

Maybe send Bella a mingo picture. :)

You do have friends! How 'cool' anybody is, I can't be sure of. We have fun, though, and we love it when everyone joins in, so please do so as often as you want. If our reports help your trips turn out better, then I am more than happy with that. ::yes:: I love to get ideas from others that make our trips better, too. And we do try to make them informational. That's why sometimes we have some unique pictures, but if it helps someone else know about the prices in a restaurant or a way to get around a park or resort or what is available in a gift shop or whatever, then that is a good thing, I think.

I truly hope you never stop writing your reports - I absolutely love them and that I "know" you through them! I'm so glad you're recapping your October trip so I can continue to follow along. :goodvibes

Whew!!! All caught up, I was about 15 pages behind I think. I love your trip reports just the way they are. Keep up the great work!!!! If you make it to Wilderness Lodge can you throw a quarter in for me?

MeMom, please don't quit writing your TR's! I love seeing pics of the girls. They are growing up so fast! I can't believe it's been 2 years since I've seen y'all! And I love your pictures. It's like really being there and getting a little "Disney fix" on a little "shopping trip" or "walk around a resort" or "exploring a part of a park".

'Bout to share a Fort Wilderness campfire with you here in a minute. :thumbsup2

It was very warm, so I did go get bottles of water, and it was nice and cold. :)

We didn't stay for the movie, because we had been traveling since early in the morning. We made our way to the bus stop to get back to the beach.

The kids took turns posing in this tree

and enjoyed playing hide and seek.

I'm enjoying seeing your special trip you took with Brooklynn!

I always enjoy your TRs and I've never once thought anything negative. I realize I don't really know, know you, but I do feel like I know the type person you are, and I don't believe you would ever be doing anything for self-promotion. I think you just love Disney, and spending time with your family, and thank goodness for us-you like to share those two things with us! :)

On the boat ride back, we were able to see fireworks.

The lines were long at the bus stops, but they were bringing Pop buses two at a time. We got back to the room at a reasonable hour - for being in Disney World - and that was it for Day One. We didn't do a lot, but we made it there safely, hit our first park, and had fun at the campfire with the boys, so it had been a successul day.

Looks like yall had a great first day! I've never heard too much about the Campfire, but it looks like a lot of fun. :goodvibes

Will you be stopping in Nashville when you go on your next Disney trip? The hippo is back. :thumbsup2

Disney World with my family is my heaven on earth. :)

This was our first time to go to the campfire. If we have time while Bella is still there on this trip, we might do it again. If not, Brooklynn and I might go back on one of our extra nights. The down side to it is the time it takes to do the traveling. It takes time to get the internal bus back and forth to get to where you can get out of Fort Wilderness.

I don't know if i will get the same
results as MeMom, but we check in at VWL tomorrow and I'll toss some coins for you!

I know you can watch fireworks anywhere, but somehow fireworks are just better at Disney!!! Always such a special part of a Disney trip!!!

I'm glad you mentioned the Campfire! I want to try it out soon! I've never been to Ft Wilderness but since you mention the internal buses, maybe we should go one of the days we rent the car. It might be easier just to drive there. Hmmm...I'll have to look into that! :thumbsup2

Going back to read what I missed when I was soooo far behind on DISing!

I also hope to post a garden update soon! I know you enjoy those pics so I'll make sure to let you know when I post!!! :goodvibes

I too love to see your reports and family. Even though I am awful at posting... I do drivebys for pics and updates! I would miss your reports terribly.

I looove the pictures of the girls with the Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet! :lovestruc I've always had a soft spot for the Pooh characters.

One of Bella's favorites, Jessie, which sounds more like Zhessie. The J is still kind of different. ;)

 I think the J sound is hard for kids. My oldest cousin on my dad's side of the family had trouble saying my dad's name, John, when he was little. Instead of Uncle Johnny it came out as Uncle Gonny. So my dad just had my cousins call him Uncle Bubba :rotfl: I've always been amazed that Kazin never had trouble saying Uncle Jeremy. He had more trouble with Leslie.

That deer picture reminds me of Vermont. We used to see them there more often than we do now. We usually see a few when my cousin Sarah is with us. I have no idea why, but I think she attracts wildlife  Seriously, in the 50+ years my mom has been going to Vermont, she had never seen a bear. The last time Sarah came with us, we saw a baby bear crossing the street while we were in the car. The first time she ever came with us, a chipmunk ran past her feet the first day she was there. A couple months ago she sent me a picture of a baby squirrel sitting on her foot. It's so weird  She's planning on coming this year so hopefully we'll have some wildlife sightings ;) As long as we don't run into a moose or a big bear. The baby bear was fine. We were in the car, and it was the size of a big dog, but I'm glad we didn't stick around long enough for mama bear to show up

Awww I miss WL :( I loooove going to the Mercantile every day, and taking a walk from our room to Roaring Fork to fill our mugs at night. I always volunteer to do that; I love walking around WL. I love that place :cloud9:

I guess we just keep writing, and whoever is interested can read. I don't ever want people to come to the trip reports board, see yet another of our reports, and say, "My gosh, when will they ever stop?!?!?" Or I don't want anyone to think we're 'promoting' our kids or ourselves and not Disney World. After a discussion at dinner last night, in which some things Jill, Trent, and I had been thinking were affirmed by our dinner companions, it made me start thinking and hoping that no one ever thought that about us. We write the reports to enjoy reliving them ourselves and to bring Disney fun to those who are between trips. And in the process, we have made some wonderful friends along the way.

Oh, heavens! Now I wish I had been there for that dinner conversation!

I love, love, love your trip reports, MeMom! It's how I start my mornings! :goodvibes

It looks like you had a great first day!!

I love your TR's (as I hope people enjoy mine) and I love seeing all the pics even if not Disney related. I feel like I know a lot of you even if I have not met you & really enjoy all of it.
