All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

I'm sorry you didn't get to see your girls today.

I love to hear when little babies can find a happy home. I'm sure the little guy will be so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I'm glad their dream to become parents came true! :goodvibes

Wow, it really looks empty in MK that morning. It really does pay off to be there that early. :thumbsup2

The Tomorrowland plate is cute. I'm sure there will be lots of Disney shopping done for little Sophie this summer. ;)

I was inspired by looking at your Christmas in May pics today and I made some changes to the January trip.
We were originally going to go from Jan.11-17 and then the 3 day Dream cruise.
We are now going Dec.30-Jan.6 and then the 4 day cruise! :cool1:

We are so excited to see all the holiday stuff that we didn't get to see last time.

The best part is that we will be staying in a Mermaid room at Art of Animation. :woohoo:

Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day! It rained and rained here yesterday, but it was still a nice day overall.

Lovely MK pictures to start the week -- our last week with the students! Let the countdown begin!!! LOL!

Good morning. Great MK update. Wow the crowds were thin when you got to the back of the park. That is a good thing!:thumbsup2

Sorry you were not able to get together with your girls yesterday but sounds like you will have a fun weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!! :flower3:

I love the shops in Tomorrowland! I'm a big Stitch fan, so I love how many Stitch products there are there! How fun that you get to start thinking about gifts for Sophie! :goodvibes

I said I wanted nine grandkids, but I may be able to only afford three! ;) I can't go in any store without wanting to buy them something.

I like Stitch in his Hawaiian mode. I'm no so much into the space aspect, but he and Lilo and some Elvis music on a palm-tree filled beach - I can enjoy that. :thumbsup2

Yes, I'm the one closest to Eric's castle in the picture. Always. :)

HAHAHA, yeah, John probably won't enjoy the real driving thing QUITE as much.

I am so looking forward to all of the new things, and the Little Mermaid area is going to be fun, I think. I am anxious to experience that Seven Dwarfs' Mine Train, as well. I like mild coasters, and I am figuring that one will be fairly mild. :goodvibes

Happy Mother's Day!

Wow, you could never tell by looking at those photos that you were in MK on New Years Eve. I'm sure it was only a matter of time before it got crazy, but you guys are so good at getting there before it gets insane!

Yeah, it did get crowded, but we work in what we can before it does, and even when it is crowded, there are still nice, quite spots here and there.

Hope your mom had a nice day, as well! :)

Just read this. As you can tell my from screen name I am in Az :) Would be happy to help in any way I can. Am in the Phx/Scottsdale area. Will pm you my number.

I sent Michelle your information. She said they are taking Ty to the doctor in Scottsdale either today or tomorrow, I can't remember which, and after that they are going to move a little closer to the Grand Canyon. If you have any insight on places they might stay and/or see, let me know, and I will pass it on.

Hope you had a great Mother's Day!!!!

It was a quiet one. Storms kept us from traveling, so we'll make up for that this weekend. It rained all day, so it was an indoor lounge around and do what I wanted to kind of day. :)

Since you spent some of your time in the sick bed last Christmas, I know there are things you need to see. Are you going back over to Poly to see fireworks, ot will you do something different this time? I know there will be other DISers there, so maybe you can meet up with some of them.

Yay for Art of Animation! :cool1:

Rained and rained and rained....

We have this week and next week. Next Thursday will be the last day for students, but we have to come back Friday.

Sorry you were not able to get together with your girls yesterday but sounds like you will have a fun weekend.

I talked to the girls yesterday. Brooklynn was upset at first that we were not going to get together, but she was placated with some chocolate chip pancakes at Steak and Shake. It was not raining down in Alabama at that time, so they still went to eat. Trent ended up going and getting Chinese for us.

I have taken a very long time to catch up! But I have and I have enjoyed sharing your trip very very much! Not long until the next one!!! X

Happy Mother's Day MeMom! Bummer on not being able to see the girls but hooray for Trent! Chinese is yummy. ::yes::

-Just wanted to pop in and say that I Love the new baby's name! Precious! I think I've came to the conclusion that my first child will either be named Shaylee Rose or Rose Ariel or Cameron Walt for a little boy!
-I've always wanted to go to Disney at Christmas time! Hopefully I'll be doing the dcp this time next year, so I will have that opportunity!
-I love the toy soldiers and the gingerbread men!
-I am definitely a purse girl!
-I love that Donald is on both the naughty and nice list!
-I love noticing all the little details that the imagineers put into the parade floats! It's things like "Liquid Snow-Ho,Ho,Ho" that make Disney so much better at parades than everyone else!
-What a sweet picture of Jill and Bella!
-Oh no! Poor Mingo! Poor Bella!
-How neat would that be if he was put into a kk book someday? I guess Mingo will always have a permanent place in the MK, as far as we know!
-I still haven't made my way into castle couture, but I love the exterior! So pretty!
-Love the tomorrowland plates and silverware! Those will definitely be added to my shopping list!
-I really want to get my hands on the donut and spray paint mickey ear hats!
-You should get the It's a girl vinylmation for Sophie's room!
-One quick question, The little girl I nanny for is turning 3 this month and I'm not quite sure what to get her! Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Once again I love all of the shopping pictures.:goodvibes I love the cup that you sent me from MK so much, I have decided I need one from each of the parks. My goal for my trip in Sept. is to get a cup from the other three parks. I can enjoy the drink and have a souvenir from each park to remember the trip.

We will be celebrating my DH 60th birthday on this trip. I am trying to talk my favorite cousin into joining us. My cousin, her husband and I also turn 60 this year, so I think we need a big party. My birthday is last so I keep reminding her that I will be the youngest 60. As you know it is great to have friends that are also family to share things with at special times in your life.

Please keep my father in your prayers we have just found out he has prostate cancer. My mother needs your prayers also they will be married 61 years in July. I count my blessings daily that I still have both of my parents.

I will definitely keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, my father is going through the same thing.

We are thinking of experiencing NYE in MK this time. :goodvibes

I would change my mind if you were all going again. ;)

Poly beach that night was beautiful.

Are you going to book AoA for your Oct. trip?

I'm sure you are happy to have your summer break so close now!
This is the time of year I wish I was a teacher. ::yes::

I have taken a very long time to catch up! But I have and I have enjoyed sharing your trip very very much! Not long until the next one!!! X

We will be there five weeks from Saturday. It's getting really close, but there's no time to even think about that now. School is crazy busy at the end of a year, and I have three workshops and church camp after school and before we leave!

Happy Mother's Day MeMom! Bummer on not being able to see the girls but hooray for Trent! Chinese is yummy. ::yes::

The Chinese was good. I got Cashew Chicken and Fried Rice. When I get Japanese at the mall, I get Orange Chicken and Lo Mein Noodles. That is all good stuff! Drew, Asian by birth, will not eat Asian food. He loves Mexican!

Bella is into the Disney Princesses in a big way. She loves the baby ones, and she loves riding them around in a stroller. I would say steer away from things with a million parts for everyone's sake! :goodvibes

I am so glad you liked the cup. I think that's such a good deal - five dollars for the drink and the souvenir cup. :thumbsup2

You should certainly have a 60th bash!

We will certainly keep your family in our prayers. This will be a difficult time for your mom.

I will definitely keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, my father is going through the same thing.

Sorry to hear about your dad, as well. We will be thinking of all of you.

This is the time of year I wish I was a teacher. ::yes::

We won't be going for Christmas - that's a for sure for this year. This year, we get summer and October, and that is it. Jill will be going with the in-laws sometime between mid-January and early March. I am going with our friend, Kay, in March. I figure next year will be those trips, a summer trip, and maybe another Christmas trip. If not a Christmas trip, then maybe October again, if my break and Brooklynn's align. October is definitely nice weatherwise and not as crowded as Christmas, but we have more time in December/January. We'll see what 2013 holds.

We'll have to think about AoA. :goodvibes

I love Disney shopping trips with Memom.

I am so excited about what's to come in one of the next posts! I was there (on the computer :rotfl2:)

You will have to speak up when the time comes, because I am not a good rememberer, as you may have noticed. I'm sort of glancing through the next pictures, and nothing is hitting me in the head. :crazy2:

****************************************

Next, there was a trip on the People Mover.

IMG_8196.jpg

I mostly just sat and enjoyed the ride. :)

John, Brooklynn, and I decided to ride Astro Orbiter. I wanted to get some good aerial shots.

The death trap that carries you up and down.

Looking over toward the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower.

IMG_8199.jpg

I got this shot of John and Brooklynn...

IMG_8200.jpg

and then prepared to take off and get more pictures as we flew high over Magic Kingdom.

That was the moment my memory card decided to tell me this bit of information -----

Memory Card Full. :scared1:

So,

I just flew around and around and around and around

with no

pictures.

After that ride, there were some hungry people in the group. The girls were happy enough with some items from the Noodle Station,

IMG_8205.jpg

but Jill and John wanted more.

I sat with the girls, while they headed off to find something more filling.

IMG_8204.jpg

IMG_8207.jpg

What came back with Jill and John.

IMG_8208.jpg

After food, we went back into the Christmasness of the park.

In case you don't know how to wash your hands, there are instructions. :thumbsup2

IMG_8214.jpg

Tiana was out, but I guess she knew I was coming, and she made Naveen stay home.

IMG_8215.jpg

I know the competition gets to be too much for her sometime. :rolleyes1

IMG_8217.jpg

A quiet spot in a crowded kingdom.

Where I am standing now?

At the tree of 13 lanterns - representing 13 colonies.

This tree is the largest living thing in Magic Kingdom.

Liberty Tree Tavern.

Yummy!

Frontier Donald.

That's it for tonight. More shopping next time.

That Tiana is one smart cookie hiding her Naveen from you!!!

Was that some kind of bratwurst that John and Jill got? They certainly loaded it up! Looks like French Toast sticks too.

When is your last day of school?

HA! Tiana hiding Naveen...she totally knew you were in the park! ;)

I love, love, love Liberty Square, and the tree. I love history, so I love Liberty Square, and I live in one of the original thirteen colonies, so the tree is very cool to me.

I haven't been on Ostro Orbiter since...I'm not sure, our 2010 trip? Maybe? I'm not really afraid of heights, but something about that ride just freaks me out! I kept thinking I was going to fall out!

Those Contemporary/BLT pictures just made me practically giddy! AHH love.

OH NO! Not the memory card! Did you have another one handy?

Wow i'm behind...life got in the way and I havent been on in ages....going back to catch up in the next few days. :)

Ooooh Mingo. :( I'm sure he'll be found someday by a very confused CM! Aside from that, love the DIS meet! :thumbsup2

Do you recall where Jill and John went for those breakfast goodies? I have never seen the "sausage hot dog" with eggs on top before!
