All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Looking forward to some resort hopping with you soon! :cool1:

It is a beautiful day to do just that, as it was on the actual day I was walking around.

I had no time to get on the DIS till now. Happy belated birthday to Bella! That is so funny that she knew the "French Porter" was not HER Pop Schrenchry! :rotfl:

Everybody has been busy, busy, busy it seems. I have enjoyed having some down time this week, and it makes me even more anxious for the long summer break! Although, since we're starting school earlier than ever, the long break won't be so long, but since it's still longer than most people get, I will not complain.

Jill should video her looking at Disney pictures. She really gets into it. She loves watching youtube videos of rides and shows.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA!!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

I love those quiet nooks in World Showcase. It really can be peaceful in the UK gardens and other spots!

Yes, a lot of that area back there is nice and quiet, unless there is a band playing back there, as there was that day.

Happy Birthday Bella! :goodvibes

Can't wait to resort hop with you........seeing the resorts all decked out at Christmas time is one of my favorite times to see them! :yay:

We're about to go check out three very nice resorts. :thumbsup2

Gosh, I was so far behind after a week of no DIS time! :headache:

I hate I missed all the birthday wishes for Bella! Happy late birthday to her though! :cheer2:

I can't remember now all the things I wanted to say after reading 6 pages. I do remember that your Belle in WS (the one in the blue dress) was the prettiest one I think I've ever seen. She is perfect for that role! :thumbsup2 And I loved those WS mouse ears! I would want a pair with every country on it though. That might get a little crowded!

I hope you've have a wonderful Good Friday and I hope your Easter Sunday is awesome too! :thumbsup2

I would probably want every country's ears, too. ::yes::

I have a ham soaking in pineapple and brown sugar, and the deviled eggs are made. I was at Jill's last weekend, and I think she's coming here next weekend, so there won't be a crowd for the meal. Just the boys and me, and maybe Jarvis, if he comes by.

How adorable that Miss Bella can identify resort furniture by sight!!:rotfl: That is absolutely precious. :goodvibes

Would you believe I have never been to Club Cool? I will have to check it out. I thought all that Epcot anniversary/history stuff had gone away but maybe it will still be there in a few weeks.

You need to go try the different flavors of drinks, for sure. China's drink is the only one that I care for, even though it's far too sweet. You need to get a Beverly picture, for sure!

Ahhh, I love those quiet little spots at Disney like the hallway with the timeline and the little corner of England! :goodvibes

Alrighty, let's go check out gingerbread creations at the resorts! :yay:

Keep walking. We'll be there in a minute, if Photobucket cooperates. It was giving me blank boxes a few minutes ago. :sad2:

It's nice that in the midst of thousands of people, there are quiest places to be found. :goodvibes

Bella might be able to play name that resort by 4! Loved the walk through Epcot. I spied a stuffed animal in Canada that my dd might want to save her money for... Didn't you just love those banners at the secret entrance? It's all about those little touches!

Wish I was walking through Epcot right now looking at beautiful flowers.

Which stuffed animal were you thinking of - the bear or the husky?

A bit late I know but, Happy Birthday Bella :cheer2:

Don't worry, we're not through partying yet. Next time Bella is up here, we still owe her an All-Princess 'party' of sorts. That's how we talked her into narrowing it down to one princess for her friend party. We told her we'd focus on one for that party, but she could have them all when she came up here.

I was on my own now, so I walked at a slow pace and just took in the atmosphere.

I would love this to be the view outside my window every day!

A carousel fit to eat.

IMG_7251.jpg

Someone on a report somewhere had asked if these chairs were still around, because they had heard that they were gone. Maybe they had just been taken out for cleaning or reupholstering or something.

This tree would have looked great in my den!

I sat here in the Solarium and ate a sandwich.

I sent Jill a text to tell her the poor girl with the PBJ was living in high style at the moment. ;) No one else was around, so I wasn't taking a seat from anyone else. There was a family around the corner in the room eating, but I was just sitting in the hallway part by the tree.

I really love this place, and through the kindness of a special DIS friend, I am possibly going to get to stay there for a few nights this time next year. (I'll let you guess about the friend. I don't think it will take you too many guesses.)

After the PBJ, I went toward the Marketplace.

Then I walked outside.

We have eaten at Cape May and at Beaches and Cream, but not at Hurricane Hanna's. Could be a place for us to try this summer.

Stormalong Bay was being worked on. Pat said it must have been a pretty serious issue for them to close it at this very busy time.

Enjoy yourselves at Beach Club for a bit. In a little while, we'll walk over to Yacht Club. :thumbsup2

It seems I've really fallen behind, well good thing I'm good at catching up.

Happy Belated Birthday to Bella! Sounds like she had a wonderful party. It's a shame that those days of themed birthday parties, well birthday parties in general, are long over for me. The Photo Op could've been useful then :thumbsup2

Love your pictures of the resorts all Christmas'd up! So very pretty. How I wish someday I could go to Disney during the holidays. That would be just... amazing! Especially where you stopped at the Yacht Club, gorgeous!

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

::yes:: Those were the guys I saw too. I did hear from someone ( Cara Maybe ) it was up later in the week so I imagine some serious overtime was paid because the timing couldn't have been worse.

I've gotten so behind!! Love the pics of the WS and with the characters! Bella has surely come a far way with the characters! Happy belated birthday to her! The party looks like so much fun! You know how fond I am of the Epcot resort area. We toured them all last Christmas except for the Swan. For some reason we never made it over there.

Happy really late birthday to Bella!
She will have a gift for the party at your house from us....
I'm so glad that we didn't miss out on all the festivities!

My kids are coming at 5:00 for dinner and we are having ham too. Mine in soaking in Dr. Pepper.
I'll do the deviled eggs in the morning and make hash-brown casserole as well. Megan is going to bring some sort of vegetable. Then I need to do some salad and rolls.
Hmmmmm, what to do for dessert? Maybe a dump cake and whipped cream.

Oh and my favorite at Club Cool is the China watermelon too and they didn't have it when we were there a few weeks ago!!!! It was a big disappointment! I hope they have that remedied by the time we get back in June....

Oh... the Beach Club. If I could just have that scent in my house. I love that resort!

Glad you will get to spend some time there next spring. It is just a slice of heaven on earth.

Happy Easter. I have three baskets made up and eggs stuffed. I did not do Disney dollars this year, so I worried the girls will be disappointed.

Laura, why didn't you have me pick up those Disney dollars for you?

I love Christmas at the Beach Club. :goodvibes

It was pretty, wasn't it? I think the tropical trees are fun. They have such unique ornaments.

I'm betting that you will get to make a WDW trip during the holidays someday. If not when you are still at home, then when you are on your own. You'll love it. It's nice to be walking around in short sleeves in December, since that's not the norm back home. And all of the decorations are fun to see.

::yes:: Those were the guys I saw too. I did hear from someone ( Cara Maybe ) it was up later in the week so I imagine some serious overtime was paid because the timing couldn't have been worse.

I think I remember someone saying it was only like that for a short time - maybe a couple of days.

I went into Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk. I didn't get into Swan or Dolphin.

Bella has definitely warmed up to the characters. Hopefully six months of being away from them won't set her back and she'll still do well in June. :)

If you stopped buying presents for the whole world, you could by yourself some more DVC points!

I love hashbrown casserole, but I don't think my guys are too fond of it. They'd rather have mashed or baked potatoes. Not sure which I'll do yet.

No watermelon? I hope that's not permanent. That's the only one I like to take a sip of when I am in need of a free sip of something.

That's the way I see Disney World - a slice of heaven on earth. ::yes::

Your kids will probably be too much into the candy to wonder about Disney dollars.

I think the girls are getting Disney gift cards in their baskets. They sell them around here at Target and Walgreens, so they are easy to get. They have both had the Mickey ones, and Walgreens still had Christmas ones. I got one from Disney Shopping online for Brooklynn for kindergarten graduation that has Donald and says GRAD on it. Online, there are lots of fun designs. :goodvibes

Laura, why didn't you have me pick up those Disney dollars for you?

Is Disney property the only place you can get them now? Since our Disney Store came back, I'm wondering if they sell Disney Dollars. It seems like I remember that Disney Stores were selling out of what they had and not getting more, but that was a couple of years ago. I've only been to our new store once - on opening day. I was the first customer to use an AP discount, so they brought all the cast members over to watch how to do it. I am waiting until Jill and the girls come before I go again, because it is a lot more fun to go with them.

HAPPY EASTER, everyone! Hope you have a wonderful day with your families!

Happy Easter to the MeMom and Jill clan!!!

Believe it or not but my two are still asleep! I expected Chelsea to be awake at the crack of dawn to see what the Easter Bunny brought.

Charles is already planning what he is going to put on his plate at our Easter lunch.

What a lovely spot to eat your PB and J sandwich. :lovestruc Beach Club is such a pretty resort at any time of year, but I do love its beach-themed Christmas decorations.

Looking at your pictures, I thought, "I really need more pointsettas in my decorating next year." ::yes::

Happy Easter to all of you!!! :goodvibes

I love wandering around the Beach Club, it's so nice and relaxing! I wonder what had happened at Stormalong Bay? Definitely unfortunate timing!!

Anita, I know you would have. I just did not think of it. Despite spring break I dropped the ball. I cashed a check, put a note saying 30 ones (each kid has ten eggs of a certain color at our house)please and it will be fine. I also waited too long to order disney gift cards through our church! Not my finest planning, but I blame it on First Communion, I spent a lot of my break working on those plans.

In Columbus I was even in the Disney store (we have our local one too), but I am pretty sure they don't sell them anymore.

MeMom, not much candy in ours. Daddy bunny would kill me! Just a bunny and two eggs with candy. Somehow I married a candy hater!

I forgot... you need to try Hurricane Hanna's, it is really a treat to eat there! I think the hamburgers there are the best in WDW! Plus Gelato as a dining plan dessert cannot be beat!

I love how Disney pays such close attention to detail that even all the trees on property are decorated differently! When I was there, I only got to see the trees at the parks, but I could not get over how each one was so different from the one at another park.

That carousel is awesome. Again, I am amazed at the details!

Everybody has been busy, busy, busy it seems. I have enjoyed having some down time this week, and it makes me even more anxious for the long summer break! Although, since we're starting school earlier than ever, the long break won't be so long, but since it's still longer than most people get, I will not complain.

I'm nearly done with my internship, which is basically a second job to me, and that means that the practicum class I'm taking hand-in-hand with it is also almost done! I have my math class to get through, and I'm taking summer classes, but the practicum is by far the most work, so I am very happy to have that almost out of the way!

I believe this is OUR dancing CM. How great she is recognized. And how great she looks!!!!

HOPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Ah the beautiful Beach Club!!:cloud9: I will be there in 11 days & cannot wait.

I hope you do get to stay there next year. Now that I have stayed there I do not want to stay anywhere else. It really spoils you. I am afraid the boys will love it so much they will not want to stay anywhere else.;)

The watermelon drink is my favorite also. I cannot imagine they got rid of it. I will check it out soon!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

Happy Easter!

I hope you have had a great spring break and had some time to relax. I am so glad that mine is finally here!! I came home Friday and collapsed on the couch and even fell asleep for a few minutes.

We leave tomorrow at the crack of dawn to head down to Port Canaveral. Board the ship on Tuesday. So excited!:yay: Have a great week!

I sat here in the Solarium and ate a sandwich.

IMG_7259.jpg

We sat in there waiting for the Unmagical Express in Dec. on that couch in the top left of your picture.

That area is so huge and you wouldn't have been taking anyone's seat; you would have been sitting in YOUR seat! :goodvibes

One of the reasons I love some of the resorts more than others is because they have places like this. That way if it's a rainy day, our family can hang out in an open space instead of our room. It's another reason that Jambo's lobby is awesome. (Of course, we never spend any time in these places because Disney offers too many other awesome choices!)

I have an idea of the person, but I hate to be wrong...:rolleyes1
