All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

My girls were looking at the pics with me. We really have to take our time to look around Frontierland...we are too busy heading to Splash and Big Thunder!

Thank you for the great shots!

I love how you and Bella get to have special time together before everyone else. I love your trip reports. We're getting ready to leave for Disney in a few hours. I'm up finishing last minute things before leaving and just wanted to stop by and say I hope everyone has a Magical week and weekend.

I just noticed that I said Future World instead of Tomorrowland. I'm getting my Disney park areas mixed up!!! :lmao:

We gotcha. Wall-E is futuristic; that's how I took it.

If you feel you are losing your bearings, though, it may mean you need to take some extra trips to get them back. ;)

Just think, when the new Fantasyland stuff opens, we'll all be back to looking at maps again!

I would have been happy with any of those ornaments. They are all cute!

You got some pretty pictures of the buildings in LS. I think that is a very pretty area. I love the historical/colonial theme.

And yes, Bella would make a fabulous Tink someday! :thumbsup2

Those buildings are neat, aren't they, and that is usually a pretty quiet area. If you are looking for a place away from the crowds, there's that nice little area out in back of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.

Bella is looking a little Tinkish there, for sure.

No matter how many pictures I take, I still don't think I get enough. I think I should do more video and capture more of the sights and add in the sound factor.

Our weekend will not be quite as magical as yours. :wizard:

With Kelli's ornament on its way north, we made our way out of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and were greeted with music.

John went back to Pop after lunch, but it was time for a little resort-hopping for all of the girls.

That pin set for each country is nice!! I don't think I've ever seen that.

Nice hat pics.:thumbsup2

What fun shopping pictures!! It's nice to be able to resort-hop and see the different places to stay. After looking at Port Orleans this time around, I for sure want to stay there someday! :thumbsup2

That Dumbo ears hat is SO CUTE. Wouldn't it be precious to get a baby's pictures taken with that?! Darling!! :lovestruc

So the July trip is a no-go. :sad1: I need to update my signature. I really wanted some home remodel stuff and it needed to happen, so that is getting done as we speak. The major part (the floors) are done, but now it's painting and bathroom and tile....you get the drift. It's adding up quickly and I just don't feel I can go to Orlando in July. HOWEVER, I do hope to go down in October and see as many DISers as I can!

Oh wow, that last MK picture...crazy! You guys are so efficient at getting in and getting things done, then getting out when it gets crazy!

I love the giant Mickey head on the Contemporary. Is it like a giant wreath? They must take down the resort Christmas decorations a lot more quickly than they do the park decorations, because I didn't see any of those when I was there right after you guys, but the park decorations more than made up for it!

Very cute puppy in a hat! :goodvibes

I agree with you. I LOVE that set of WS pins! Out of everything you posted, that was my favorite. It's no secret that I really love WS though. I think those pins are so neat to have the character that goes with each country on them too. I wonder how much those are???

Once again great shopping pictures. I love to resort hop. The gift shops at the CR are some of my favorite shopping places, next to PC.

-That food looks AMAZING right now! I am so hungry!
-Holy crowds! I've never been when it's that busy!
-What a cute Christmas display at the Poly!
-I really need a hat picture the next time I'm down there! I've never had one!
-Love Brooklyn's doggy pose!
-Those Woody ears are adorable!
-I like those license plate pins!
-A few packs of those pens are on my list of things to buy!
-What a cool photo of the monorail zooming past the pin shop! I've never been to that shop!

Oooh yay, I love all the Contemporary pictures! I'll be frequenting that area quite a bit this summer!

I would love that pin set too! So adorable!

Isn't it cool?

How'd you like Bella's backward hat picture? :goodvibes

Would you want to stay in the Mansions or Alligator Bayou? Having the boat ride to DTD is a nice change.

A baby Dumbo picture would be cute. We might have just the baby to do that on the October trip! :lovestruc

Yes, it's a giant wreath. Did they take down the Pop tree right after you arrived? It was up the day you checked in, wasn't it?

She was in a puppy mood that day.

I must have been thinking about another set being really expensive, because I looked on ebay, and there are several sets of these for not too terribly much. I may buy it this summer, if they still have it. I really had very, very little money to play with on the December trip.

Once again great shopping pictures. I love to resort hop. The gift shops at the CR are some of my favorite shopping places, next to PC.

I could spend days just going from resort to resort looking at the decor, eating the food, sitting outside soaking up the unique atmosphere of each resort.

Those pens are cute, but the packs that I have gotten of those kind have not been very good in quality. The click pens we have gotten have been better. Just FYI to consider before you spend your money. Others may have a different opinion, and I may just have gotten 'weak' sets.

The monorail looks like it's riding on the top edge of the shop. :upsidedow

They have some on ebay, but if I get it, I would rather buy it in Epcot. I'm silly/sentimental like that. It will have more meaning if I get it there.

Isn't it fun to look forward to Disney time! :woohoo:

I love the Fantasia Store; it always makes me want to be kid!:yay:

Thank you for the Sat. evening shopping trip with your adorable granddaughters!

When it looks like this, we leave.

IMG_6874.jpg

Ah, yes, I've seen that same crowd during our NYE trip, and you're exactly right. It is time to leave when it gets to that point. Resort hopping sounds perfect!

Sometimes it's fun just to have some time in your resort room for toys, games, and crafts, and WDW gift shops can surely supply you with those!

Disney shows on Planet Green now!:)

I don't have Planet Green. I am listening to the Top 7 Must Sees on youtube instead. :goodvibes Maybe we'll get Planet Green when they roll out the new Disney Junior here, which is next week, I think.

Yeah, we don't stay among those kinds of crowds. We're spoiled to walk-ons or very little waits for lines. There are too many non-crowded places to be in WDW to be baby-stepping in a park. There can be 16 zillion people in a park, but no one in sight on that lovely walkway between POR and POFQ. One can be enjoying a quiet nook at Wilderness Lodge, watching mingos and giraffes at Animal Kingdom Lodge, or lounging in a beach chair at the Poly listening to the boat whistles. There is no reason to be miserable in a crowd. I guess people who don't go often have the need to fight the crowds, but I am glad we do it the way we do.

Catching up tonight. Great updates. Your morning with Bella looked special. Now that I have Abby and Ellie, I try to have one on one time. We did it at Disney a few times. I was too late for Disney Live. By the time I realized it was coming, there were only single seats left. My neighbors went and loved it.

Enjoyed the Contemporary hop with you all! We were through but didn't get off the monorail this past trip..
That silly Brooklynn and her puppy pose! At least she wasn't running around barking!

The Dumbo ears are cute, Hunter is wearing them in our video and he was trying to pull them off. He is never happy in a hat. Oh well, it was cute anyway!

It is cute. Why didn't I get myself one?

I like getting pictures from/talking to people when they are in Disney World, because you do feel like you are there in some small way. :goodvibes

Sorry the boys are having a tough time with school. I wish school could always be a nice mix of fun and education without struggles and drama.

We do have a strategy for avoiding crowds, and mostly it means there is no sleeping in and lolly-gagging around the resort in the mornings. Rope drop is the way to go to avoid the crowds, and nap times later make up needed sleep time.

One day (maybe the 28th?) when we were at MK the crowds were like that, so we left and went back on the 30th, we were behind Jill in the bag check line! It didn't seem as bad that day!

Spring break trip.
Spring break trip.
Just throw it in my face, why don'tcha??? :snooty:

Will you pretty please put some pictures on here or FB? :flower3:

Yes! I will post some pics!:thumbsup2:)

You are so right about WALL-E! I sure didn't think of that one. It would fit perfectly and could be educational and fun. You need to write to the Imagineers and get them on that!

I think my character could be Fairy Godmother. It's okay to be pleasingly plump, and I could make dreams come true all day every day. :wizard:

I will look forward to your pictures and texts! :yay:
Safe travels for you and Mom!

Jill and I have said many times that Bella can be Tinkerbell one of the days. College Program about 2028, maybe? :tinker:
