he's ready to go taxis waiting its blowing its horn all ready I'm so lonesome I could cry....he's leaving on a jet plane don't know when he'll be back again...oh Criss I hate to see you go......


My DH is leaving in the morning for Fort McCoy and than on to Brag and Iraq. He will not be home until October of 2005, we heard today that officers in Iraq are not guranteed leave in six months. This song has been playing in my head all afternoon.
The kids and I are beside ourself, I guess I kept thinking the Army would change their mind and he would say it was a joke. It's really happening....my heart is so broken now......

I have sat here thinking about what to say to you. But somehow "thank you" just does not seem like enough. My children and my family can go to bed tonight knowing that men like your husband are protecting us and the USA. I can not imagine what you and your family are going through. I will keep him and you in my prayers. I pray that the time will go by quickly and he will be home in your arms safely.

I hear ya honey- my DH is in the Army Nat'l Guard and they are talking activating him again (went through this about 5 weeks ago and it didn't evolve into him going). I can't stop thinking about him being gone for so dang long and so far away. Holidays, dinners together, time with our boys....it's killing me. I will be praying for you- PM me anytime.
