New “Key To Disneyland” interactive experience coming May 16th

So, I purchased a key already but my trip isn't until October. I'll only have the one day to find all the portals. Is that realistic? It's just me and my husband so we won't have a set schedule. I'm also hoping since I go to WDW all the time that I can have a slower pace at Disneyland and take my time focusing on the attractions that we don't have on the east coast. With that in mind, I was thinking we'd probably be alright? I love scavenger hunts and thought this would be a fun addition as we navigate the park.

It is very realistic to do in one day, but it takes time. Disneyland has twice as many rides as Magic Kingdom. If you only have one day, you'll probably have a difficult time going on all of the rides, seeing the nighttime entertainment, and completing the key.

When the Key to Disneyland was first released, there were displays in just about every store. Almost immediately they took down the smaller displays and just sold he keys on Main Street. Today I noticed that the smaller displays are back up again. It seemed like more people were participating in the activity again.

We took note of them during the day then did a park loop at night to complete it. Much better at night. There are two station finishers on each side of the entrance/exit area. One on the east side, bubbles worked better.

Also there are multiple effects at each unlock. If leave the key in lock it will cycle. (bayou country pooh theme for example there are about 4).

Afterwards, pushing in the two handle buttons at once will reopen the pin door.

Thank you. I'm definitely going to make a list of my must dos so that I can prioritize things. The first time I did Magic Kingdom we missed half the park because we didn't have enough time. I plan to purchase LL as well to help breeze through some lines, so hopefully, my plan works out okay!

I may keep this in mind as a tactic, especially with being unfamilar with the park. Maybe I'll check out everything first and then circle back to the various stations. I appreciate the tip!
