All Disney DVD's 10.00 at Disney Store

First of all, a BIG thanks to Mike for posting this!!!

I called right after 10 today & told sale was on!
I asked about my DC discount & CM wasn't sure.
I asked to have 1 of each put away for me & CM told me she would hold for 24 hrs. I then talked to my CM mngr friend who said they should be prepaid, so I offered my Disney card, but she said it was ok.
When I arrived just before 6 I was told by another mngr TDS main office stopped the sale, but since I called She would honor the price! I walked out with 24 various titles!!!!

Like I always say, Corporate is just plain (insert your own expletive here) & the CAST MEMBERS rule. They are what's holding Walt's dream together IMHO!

EKF, which TDS did you call? I went to the Great Northern one this morning and got Snow Dogs, Spy Kids, The Rookie & Return to Neverland DVD's! I also pre-ordered B&TB so one of the movies was only 70 cents!

I went to Great Northern too! Got there at 5:53 pm. They were honoring it So I got Schoolhouse Rock, Buzz Lightyear Star command and Toy Story 1. I really wanted Bugs Life DVD but they have not had that for a while.

If I could have gotten out of work earlier, I would have tried to get to Parmatown for Bugs Life.

I picked up 6 DVD's today along with 3 beanie babiesand preorder B/B. With my gift card from B/B, I bought $l0 in disney dollars to keep on hand.

OUr TDS was not busy at all. Nobody probably knew about the sale.

I was over at Parmatown at about 4:30 today and bought 9 of them, they didn't have A Bug's Life. I even got the DC discount. There were a bunch of people there, everyone with a handful of DVD's. Was going to try Southpark but one of the CM's was rude the last time I was there.

After I heard that they might be ending the sale early, I called the store. They told me I had until 5:00. I called DH and told him I needed to go before dinner instead of after and called my mom to pick up the kids from school.

Then, I jumped into the car and rushed to the city. I picked up 10 DVD's and stepped up to the counter. The cast member told me that the sale had ended at 3:00 and it was about 3:45. I almost cried! I told them I had called right before I left Norman and had had to change my plans and drive all the way to north Oklahoma City. They we SO nice to me. They felt really bad. The whole thing was not their fault. After a moment's hesitation, they decided to go ahead and give me the reduced price. I was so happy that I forgot to check for the 9/11 pin and the sale on bean bags. I guess I spent enough money, anyway.

Unfortunately, I didn't find Spy Kids for DD. But we'll all enjoy the ones I did find. I think we'll put some away for Christmas. Cast members really know how to treat customers. A big thank you to the ladies who helped me. You made my day.

I guess I should have checked this thread before I took off this evening. I found out the hard way. It's a really good thing I didn't return the movies to Best Buy first.

I went to the local Disney store and they were full price, I asked one of the workers how come they were on sale at other places and she said the sale was over. I said I thought it was Friday Saturday and Sunday and she said "no it was Thursday Friday and Saturday".... I looked at her and said "it IS Saturday" and she told me they ended the sale early but since I knew about it already they would honor the 10.00 price so I picked up 3 DVD's and used my Disney Club Card for an additional 10 percent off that!!

Someone may be able to confirm this but I think that there was a sign on the DVD's that they were 5.00 off. So even if the 10.00 sale is over you may still be able to by the 20.00 DVD's for 15.00 or 13.50 with the Disney Club card which is still a good deal.

CM friends of my at my local TDS said the sale was a company nightmare....they started and stopped it without warning....They have pages of memos to wade through regarding the debacle.....None of them know why it was stopped just that they recieved a phone call to end it ....as well that the registers stopped recognizing the sale between customers that they were ringing up...it worked for one and not the other....
