My local Disney Store (New York City 5th Avenue) did not have all of the titles listed, but still had a pretty good selection. I got a few, but wish I could have found some of the ones from the original list (Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Emperor's New Groove, et al.)

I've been all over DFW this morning getting all the ones that I've wanted.

Yes All DVD's and VHS's are onsale for $10/each. This does not include Monsters Inc or Beauty and the Beast.

It cannot be combined with ANY other discount from what I understand. Not even the CM's discount.

I just called a store that said the sale was over, but then I called another store to confirm, and they denied the rumor. So I would call my Disney Store and find out 100% that the sale is still going on before I head out there.

Those puppies are flying off the shelve FAST! I would get there ASAP if I were you.

And my store says it's up in the air at 3. She first said it ends at 3, then corrected to say that after 3 they're not sure what's going to happen.

I just called my TDS here in Cleveland. She said that the sale of the DVD's has been cancelled, but they are honoring it until 6 p.m.

She said that the company is cancelling the sale, were her words.

Darn... there is no way I can make it there by 6

Our Disney Store here on the Cape was one of the ones they closed

I just called our local TDS and they said the sale was going on until 5 PM. Thankfully I get off at 3 so I will head over there then.

Some of the others that my store had were Dumbo, Goofy Movie, Cool Runnings, Remember the Titans and some Pooh Halloween DVD.

Rescuers Down Under was excluded, as well as a few others.

Thanks very much for the "Heads Up" on this! Much as I have almost everything on VHS, I'd like to get the DVD's too.

What's with that place??? I just called another Disney store to see if they had the DVDs that I wanted in stock, and they told me the sale ends at 6:00 pm, but some of the DVDs have already gone back up to full price.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted ...

ARGH!!!!!!!! I slipped out of work for a few minutes counting on it ending at 3, and got there at 3:02 and was told it was over. If only I'd slipped out an hour earlier instead of waiting for a coworker that I thought might want to go with me (but who didn't).

I think I'm going to try calling again just before I leave work tonight to see, just in case. I doubt it'll be re-instated, but it can't hurt, right?

The sale in Boise has been cancelled they sold 300 dvd in 2 hours and said they got a call to cancel the sale

Wow, I'm glad I rushed out and bought some at lunch. I was thinking of going back to see if another store might have some different ones but oh well... Maybe they'll do it again sometime, quess it's a good way to clear their movie inventory.

Thanks for the info on this! I went to the Disney store at my local mall (kinda/sorta *live* there LOL!) and I was able to still get the $10 price a little before 3 p.m. The CM said they are not sure what the price is going to come up at until they put it in the register, and apparently the reason the sale is being cancelled is because some people bought large, large quantities for resale purposes.

Only a 24 hr sale at my TDS.....tried today and it was over...

I called my TDS at about 2:15 and they told me the sale was good there until 5:00. I got to the store at about 3:15 and they told me it ended 15 minutes ago.

Well I decided to talk to the manager. I didn't think it would do any good but I just wanted to formally let them know that as a loyal, long time customer I thought it was pretty shoddy how the entire thing was handled. They went ahead and let me get as many of the DVD's as I wanted for $10 anyway which I thought was very nice of them. I was able to get 7 DVD's and I pre-ordered B&TB while I was there.

After she rang up my order she also gave me a free box of cereal, and a 9/11 pin since they still had some left. She was really very nice about the whole thing and I think she truly felt bad about the situation.
