All AP holders can get DDE now-not just FL residents

DD showed her Dining card letter at Pop today and received the 20%. Pretty good deal. I just ordered the card thursday!

I ordered it Thursday, and she told me my email would be sent on Tuesday.

We have the list on the DIS: Disney Dining Experience

I asked the CM if they have a website, and the reply was "not yet." I'm hopeful that means that one is in the works.

Wirki, I got my email within minutes of signing up. You may want to call again.

There is a list for Florida Residents with the DDE info on the Official Disney Website, but you need a FL zip code to access it. :D

Are you sure the list is accurate? I'm seeing several restaurants on the DIS list that aren't on other lists. This is why I'm holding out on buying the card......just not sure exactly which places are included in the discount.

An example, Brown Derby is listed in the link you gave but I haven't seen it listed elsewhere.

Below this is the list I received from the DDE coordinator on Thursday. (It does include the BD)

DisMN,

What lists have you seen for DDE that don't include Brown Derby? Are you sure those other lists aren't for the MYW Dining/Ticket/Hotel package?

This is intersting.

I'm looking at the agreement (my renewal card came yesterday) and it states that "up to six people" can be discounted (in bold black letters).

Additionally, I used my card last weekend (at Jiko and Le Cellier) and was asked for my Florida Drivers License BOTH times!

Whats up I wonder?

Thankyou, I think that's exactly what I've been seeing. Apparently people are posting both lists believing that the discount program is the same one....when in fact it's two different programs entirely.

The fact that The Brown Derby is listed makes the DDE all that much better for us. I think I'll be signing up today. :)

Hello Everyone,

I'm going down to Disney in the middle of Feb. with my family and I was going to get my annual pass then. My question is, do I need the annual pass right now to order the dining card? Thanks for any help. MIwings :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for all the info. on this thread! :) I just called and ordered ours. And FYI, she (Amy) said that it will expire February 28, 2006! :)

Miwings-She asked if I had an Annual Pass (I have our vouchers), but she didn't ask for any numbers or such to verify that I have one. So, no, it seems you don't need the passes to order it. :)

Just wanted to add that I wasn't on hold AT ALL, and it took just a couple minutes to order. :teeth:

When making PS reservations for your meals, do you make your PS reservations as you normally would or do you have to call a special number that is provided to you?

ON another thread, FL residents that have had the card have said to make a regular PS (except for Discounted shows, like luau and Hoop-de-doo), and show your card to your server when you are seated.

I ordered mine before I ordered my annual passes - I told them I was planning to purchase APs and that was good enough.

I remember seeing the Epcot restaurants listed as having a 10% and not 20% discount? Hoping I was wrong - looks like 20% everywhere I look now. Anybody know for sure?

The 10% is a weekday lunch discount available to all AP holders. It is an AP perk, and is not associated with DDE.

This is a great deal then, isn't it! I can definitely see how this will add up to a great discount overall. Thanks :flower:

Thanks for posting hte thread.

This week, DD has saved about $15. so far in two days on counter service at Pop and AK.
for 2 people.

Tomorrow, they'll use card at Primetime. I don't know if she has had to show i.d. with it at all.

herc.

I just wanted to let you know that I got my email confirmation. I am so excited. Thank you everyone who helped out.
Feb trip looking better and better. I talked DH into leaving at 6:35 am, instead of 3:30 pm. So we will be at Wilderness Lodge by noon!!
Today is a good day
Debbie

I posted this on another thread, but thought it would be good to post it here to. I wrote asking why some are getting a Feb expiry date, adn I quickly got back the following:

**We have updated the expiration to 2/28/06 and will update this on all the cards that have been ordered in the past week. We were just made aware of this today so we have just started telling our guests about it on the phone. Your membership will also be valid until February 28, 2006.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Amy**

Also, I wanted to know (if any FL people have had this experience), when I take the family in Feb, and eat at Pop's Food Court..will I have just one shot to put everyone on one bill, or as they saunter down, can I go up and pay using my 20% off card? Thanks.

DMRick,
I just got my email today from Amy as well....but my card says it expires 1/31/06. Do I trust that my card will be printed with the same expire date that you have? Or should I email Amy back as well?
TIA

DMRick, I have used the DDE in Pop food court for multiple people, but on one tab. (Standng in line together)
I would think as long as you (or another paying cardholder) has the card in hand you can use it as often as you like.
Other than the set number of guests on one tab/valid cardholder, I have never heard of a limited use.
There would be no difference if I bought a meal, and decided to go back up for dessert or more food/drink.
The legit cardholders will probably have to be the one presenting the card and paying. Esp at a food court it would be easier (I would think) to buy all you want.

New cardholders will find some CMs are very lenient. Some are tough. Which will come to no surprise to anyone.

Hi all,

I hope this is not a dumb question. I just read thru all 8 pages!! to make sure it wasnt asked yet, so if it was i apologize for the inconvenience. I see you can use this DDE card on Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, all sorts of beverages etc. but one thing I have not seen was whether you can use this for Character Meals. We are planning a Princess Storybook at Restaurant Akershus and a Crystal Palace Pooh Dinner and possibly a Ice Cream Social with Mickey in Epcot at the Garden Grill. All 3 restaurants are covered but I was not sure whether they were also doing the discount during times of character meals, if they are that is an excellent deal for 2 adults and a 2 yr old that saves $22 already almost half the cost of the DDE Card! Thanks in advance for your help.
