Hello! My dh and I are going on the 7 night Western. We've been on the 4 night cruise before and loved it. We lost our little one. It is very important to me that we be seated at an all adult table. I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but while I am ok now being around small children in general, I think it would be really hard for me to engage in conversations every night with the same families about their children's experiences on the cruise, etc. Also, I don't want to make anyone else uncomfortable with our answer to the seemingly inevitable "do you have any children" question when their children are there.

Our travel agent put the information about our loss in our record, but I am worrying. Is there anything else I can or should do? Any assistance would be very greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest confirming this request at check in and going to the location noted in your Navigator regarding dining room assignments once on board. For something like this I suspect DCL will be able to work with you to make suitable accomodations.

Cupcake, I'm very sorry for your loss. :(

I agree with Deb, go to the place on the ship mentioned in the Personal Navigator to check on who your dining companions will be. They will be able to tell you if you are seated with all adults or not. Definitely choose LATE seating, if you haven't already, there are many less kids in that seating and your chances of being seated with all adults are much better.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise. :)

Cupcake, I am SO very sorry for your loss. I can understand how you would like to avoid a situation such as the one that you are describing. I don't think that anyone would or could take that as anything besides self preservation. God bless you and your family.

{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} I would write a letter with your concerns to DCL -- and be specific - -include all of your reservation information with the letter/request.

My deepest sympathy on your loss...your feelings are entirely understandable!
As the others said, I'm sure that in view of your circumstances DCL will go out of the way to respect your wishes. The crew members are very understanding, so even if things need to be changed once you get on the ship, I know they will be able to work it out.
