So since we are on the topic of packing I have to laugh as Mom is currently packing right now and she and I are the complete opposites when it comes to how we pack.

Mom: Packs early for a trip
Lessa: Packs a few hours before leaving

Mom: Only takes up half a suitcase and only packs a few items that she plans to wear several times. Only bringing one swimsuit.
Lessa: Takes up a whole suitcase and maybe more. Overpacks completely and likes to have lots of options. I have at least one outfit for each day with back-up outfits in case I want to change during the day and in case I don't "feel" the outfit I had planned the day of. I am fickle what can I say! I am also bringing 5 swimsuits.

I guess that is just the beach girl in me, I love my swimwear, I formed a habit while living in Virginia Beach of having many swimsuits (kinda necessary when in and out of the pool all the time and always going to the beach) and now I can't break it, somehow I end up buying a new one every year. So since I never know what I will be in the mood to wear I am just bringing all of them!

No worries, I don't usually forget anything and if I do it would probably be something small like my toothbrush, easily fixed!

Well here I am working my last shift before vacation!

I slathered each arm in a different sunscreen, testing to make sure they won't give me a rash. So far so good.

I'm going to make up a packing list tonight and then start packing when I get home in the morning. I'm going to try and stay up into the afternoon so that I can be sure to sleep in the evening, we leave at 3am on Saturday so I want to be well rested for the long day ahead.

I am also going to get my hair cut in the morning, a little bit shorter so it will be less of a hassle.

I am getting a bit nervous as I always do before a trip, I hate flying!

I "like" flying but always get worried until I am up in the air for at leat 30 min to 1 hour.

I am jealous that you get to go so soon.

Then again I am really sick and would be in no condition to go now.

I just got back from getting my hair cut and the hairdresser cut it way too short! I hate it, Mom keeps telling me it looks fine but I can barely even pull it into a ponytail! Thank goodness my hair grows quickly but I am sad that it is going to look horrible in the vacation photos.

Think of it this way. Its going to be hot and humid. The hair will be easier and lighter.
