All Aboard Presidents Week Mexican Riviera February 19, 2012 Wonder

Julie, thank you for setting up the Facebook group. I sent a request to be added.

Deanna, thanks for creating the spreadsheet to help us track the FE participants. I have added my information.

We are all getting super excited about the cruise!

Just thought I'd share a tip I learned last year for keeping items organized in your stateroom...

We brought an inexpensive OVER-THE-DOOR PLASTIC SHOE ORGANIZER. We hung it on the outside of the bathroom door and stored sunscreen, lotions, shoes, pens, etc, basically anything that we could. It kept the clutter in the room to a minimum and items were in plain site so we didn't have to hunt around for them in drawers or elsewhere.

The organizer only cost around $6 and folds flat so it is an easy item to pack in your suitcase. That said, I threw it away at the end of the trip so I wouldn't have to bring it home.

which day is the character breakfast ? 5 days 'til book palo for us. I want to avoid those day for palo branch.... :rotfl:

It's my understanding that there are a few different days for character breakfast and you will be assigned to one of them. I would bet that if your character breakfast conflicted with Palo, they would let you change it. That's what I'm hoping for anyway! (assuming I score Palo ressies)

If I remember correctly, they were the days at sea. I remember some people having it on Day 2. We had our's on Day 6. I would assume (considering there are three dining groups), that another group had it on Day 3.

Anyone else get GTY assignments yet?

Nope, still listed as GTY.

What categories are your rooms? I also thought that they don't start assigning until after final payment and closer to sail date. :confused3

We are still showing a GTY status. I'm surprised they assigned your room already! That seems early! Now I'll be stalking the Disney site to see if we get assigned.

Does anyone know what time check in / reservations open? I can book starting in 5 days and I'd like to know either how late I have to stay up or how early I have to wake up! :rotfl:

We have two cat 9C staterooms. I wanted to pay the rooms on separate billing cycles, so paid off one room the night of the 14th and on the morning of the 15th, saw the stateroom had been assigned for that room, but not the other.
Paid the second room that morning and immediately logged back in and the stateroom had been assigned. I was surprised it was this early but it looks like it was done as payments were made. That has not been my experience on other cruises.

Had one of my favorite castmembers answer when I called, and she got guest services and they moved the forward room so we are much closer now.

I called the Disney they said midnight at eastern time. So 9 pm on Sunday if you are pacific time zone. I know I will be awaiting in front of computer this Sunday... Hehehe... So excited♪───O(≧∇≦)O────♪

Anyone planning on booking any specific excursions? We are planning on Las Caletas while in Puerto Vallarta, and no plans for Cabo yet.

Last year, we did the dolphins in Cabo. Fun to do, and the location is really close to the cruise ship.

On the other day in Cabo, we took the glass bottom boat. Prices for the boat trip are completely negotiable, especially if you start walking away from them. Went near the Los Arcos, then got dropped off at Medano Beach. We then walked through town, had lunch, and shopped.

Last year in PV, we did the Historic Towns and Tequila Making Tour. It was my idea because I wanted to see what PV looked like beyond the tourist area. Not that exciting of a tour, and not really like they advertise.

Later we took a cab into the main part of town. Shopped for stuff for the kids and had a wild cab drive back to the Walmart near the cruise ship. We negotiated one price for the ride, and when we get to the Walmart, he tells me the price was supposed to be the price per person. NOT!

91 days.......

Epcot at Night, congratulations on the LSU win. Lots of big losses this week- you guys are looking good for the BCS.

We still have to play 2 top 15 teams, but it will will be great to play the Championship game here. Not many teams get home field advantage in the big game.

Frustrated.... can't get it to work! I'm going to the online check in tab and I don't see anything that allows me to check in??

yeah:cool1: got "palo" and excursion reserved!!!:dance3: I got high tea reserved also just in case. but Is that really worth to go? I was not too impressed on any comment that we have been read.

It isn't allowing Online Check In but, if you want to make reservations, click on the "Cruise Activities" tab.
