Well, we were supposed to go on a three park hop journey today. When we woke up Rick’s ankle hurt so much with the tendonitis flare up that we were unsure whether we would even make it out of the door of the apartment today. But by 8.30am, his ankle had loosened up and he felt a bit better.

The day continued as follows – after a couple of phone calls home, we finally leave for Animal Kingdom at about 10.00am. The bus was waiting for us as we exit out of the main entrance at the Boardwalk.

The journey took about 20minutes, calling in at Swan, Dolphin and Blizzard Beach before its final stop at Animal Kingdom. Plan for this park was to catch Finding Nemo, the musical and Expedition Everest (which was a 30 minute wait). We also managed to catch It’s Tough to be a Bug, which was a walk on.

We stopped for some lunch in Pizzafari, then left the park and rushed for the bus to Hollywood Studios. The journey didn't take long and we were soon in the park.

The plans for this park was just to ride Toy Story Midway Mania and anything else that takes their fancy. Unfortunately the stand-by line was 70 minutes and no fast passes left. Once we had waited the 70 minutes, Rick’s foot was starting to throb quite badly. I suggest that they go back to the hotel room and attend to his foot.

The Friendship boat is waiting for us just outside the park entrance, and we get off at the first stop which services the Swan and Dolphin as it is nearer to our room from here. Rick gets a plaster on his blisters and rests his ankle that is suffering from tendonitis. After phoning home to check on his Mum and Dad and I phone Mum, we done some warmer clothes and head on over to Epcot.

We have a 7.45pm reservation at Rose and Crown and hope to get a lagoon table to watch the fireworks. We pop to Mouse Works for a browse and then catch the Friendship boat across the water to Italy. Billy Ocean was the guest performer at the America theatre, which was the reason why we chose tonight to come to Epcot. The concert was great. We were both surprised how much he had changed over the years. After the show we take a slow walk round the world showcase back to the Rose and Crown and wait to be seated. Finally at 8.10pm, we get our table with an excellent view of the lagoon. The food was OK. They both had a cup of leek and potato soup (this was excellent) with crusty roll, R had Surf and Turf – he said the steak was tough. H had the Sunday Lunch – the mash was too salty and the Yorkshire Pudding was just an American-style biscuit. Very disappointing. Illuminations though were excellent – as usual.

We were back in the room by 10.00pm. Rick’s feet were really hurting now and I suggest that we cancel our trip to Sea World tomorrow and he rests his ankle/feet.

Rick's foot sounds so painful. Pleased you managed to do a lot in the day.
