I know you are only allowed one 6-pack per adult now but when carrying it onboard will they accept a 12 pack as long as my husband and I are together or do we each need a seperate carry on?
I'm sure they won't give you a problem if you explain the situation as it's for the both of you. However, to save yourself the headache of it I would just split it up just to avoid the nonsense and possible stop in my vacation.

When we boarded the Wonder in San Juan a few weeks ago I had 4 bottles of wine in a rolling carry-on. DW was ahead of me just kept moving toward the check-in area after passing through the x-ray screening, but I was stopped and asked about the wine. When I explained that it was for two of us, they asked where DW was but I couldn't see her. Fortunately, she came back to see what the hold-up was and they let me through. Probably wasn't held up but 30 seconds or so.
Boarded the Dream last week with a 12 pack in one backpack without incident, agree with the other poster the xray guy seemed like he could care less...may try for 2 next time the slim corona cans don't take up much space & look more like the size of redbull cans...
