I'm coming from Hyatt Airport the night before the cruise. Has anyone had any luck purchasing a bottle of wine or 2 at the hotel bar to take in the carry on bags onto the ship?

I once bought a bottle of wine from the Macaroni Grill inside MCO. It was way overpriced but I wanted a bottle to take onboard.

Since then I have learned that you can call and order from the ABC Liquor Store and they will deliver to the Hyatt. I do not know how much lead time you need. Maybe someone else will post.

Wanted to add that I found this post from 2012....

www.abcfws.com I used them last year. They were fabulous. We were on the 15 night Panama cruise so it was a large order, lol, but it all fit in my collapsable rolling cooler. Which the room steward kept full of ice twice a day. I am very anal about planning, so I placed the order online explicitly telling them the hotel, dates, etc. Then after I received and order number I called them to confirm. We arrived at the hotel about 4:30. The order hadnt arrived yet, but was in our room when we returned from dinner. They were wonderful, would totally use them again and again. They dont have beer but we got champagne, vodka, mixed margaritas, wine, rum, and liquers. It was $100 but I only bought 2 drinks (not including the margarita & martini tastings) the entire two weeks! I had one bottle of liquer left as well as one bottle of champagne. Because I had my receipt that I purchased in FL I went right through customs.

Sounds like ABC works well.

We used ABC as well and were very pleased. We were there a few days before though. I ordered when we got there and came the next night.

You'd pay as much for the wine at a hotel bar as you would on a cruise ship.

This is what I was thinking. The main point of carrying on wine or beer is because it is cheaper than paying the prices on board, and/or because DCL doesn't have your preferred wine or beer. The Hyatt's prices are probably at least what DCL's are, if not more. I've found DCL's wine prices to be fairly reasonable, although their selection is somewhat limited.
