Alcohol at MNSSHP?

I am glad that there is a place now in MK to order a drink with dinner...I enjoy getting a glass of wine or a beer with dinner. It would be nice if more restaurants in MK had the option...I mean Liberty Tree's meal is just begging for a nice dark ale to go along with it. And Tony's...a nice red wine is pretty much the best thing with Italian food.

I can understand the lack of "bars"...though it certainly makes Frontierland very unauthentic :)

If all of us who drank alcohol stayed home...then Epcot would have to have a food and juice festival.

Try Animal Kingdom, you can actually get a shot of rum in that Dole Whip

WHAT? Please explain.

Here's what I see all the time. The OP merely asked if it was possible to get alcoholic beverages at MNSSHP. She was told no. She said that's cool, we'll have a drink in the room before we go. She didn't even say "gosh that sucks, you should be able to get a drink." And somebody comes in here and says "if you feel the need to drink then stay home." Where did that come from, was that even necessary?

I'm not debating whether it was necessary or not, but my guess is that came from the fact that a previous poster was suggesting that someone could get away with sneaking it into the park in a refillable mug.

Personally I do not care what others choose to eat/drink/shoot up/snort/smoke (you pick) as long as it doesn't negatively affect me or my family. And by that I mean - someone who can not responsibly drink and puked on my Halloween tink wings??? That would ruin my party. In other words - I really don't care what people do. I learned on here that alcohol wasn't allowed in MK - otherwise I seriously doubt I would have noticed.

Right?! We've never even eaten at LTT because DH cannot fathom eating somewhere with TAVERN in the name and not having a pint!

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

These alcohol in MK threads always make me think of the Roseanne episode when they went to WDW.

They were at rope drop, and when the rope actually dropped, they show the family running. Dan wants a tall, cold beer. Jackie tells him he can't get a beer in the MK, but can get beer in Epcot. He gives Roseanne this big puppy dog eyes and she waves him off and tells him to go. He runs off SLO-MO with a goofy grin......my favorite episode!

I love that episode and I think the Roseanne Disney World more accurately sums up families in Disney than Full House or Boy Meets World did!!

That's how my dad was the one time he went to Disney!!

It will happen. Once people get used to alcohol in one restaurant, they will expand it and then eventually they will serve alcohol throughout the park - as it should be. :thumbsup2

Hasn't happened at Disneyland yet.

I agree.

Sometimes the "Victorian you" is used and people take it personally. Or "you" is directed at a subsequent poster not the op.

Sounds like the beer tent at your local carnival. I believe I read that is the exact atmosphere Walt was steering away from when creating WDL.

Sure, a tacky looking beer tent would suit me fine. :thumbsup2 But I can deal with no alcohol at MK. Been there a dozen of times without it. Still, since the current Powers That Be are ignoring Walt's wishes by selling alcohol at Be Our Guest, it would be nice if they included a themed patio or terrace outside the restaurant for people to get a drink.

That was me :) I've never done it but I'm sure it would work :confused3

I love that Rosanne episode, I keep waiting for it to come on. I think he ran in slow mo to epcot to the the chariots of fire music. There's a website that tells you when these shows come on but I forget what it is. And I agree, the op asked a question, no need to judge.

Oh absolutely! When they get to their room and they are fussing over how fancy it is.

Dan: "Roseanne, take a picture of me with this lamp"

Darlene:[yells from the bathroom] THERE'S A PHONE IN THE BATHROOM!

Dan: No way! I gotta see this [runs to the bathroom] Roseanne we need one of those.
