Allen heard my ringtone just one time & said "That could get annoying really fast!". :confused3

Sorry to continue the drama.....

But just thought I would let you all know that DWs Mom (she's on the cruise with us) was recently diagonised with breast cancer.

They said it was a more agressive form, but they caught it very, very early. She'll be having surgery on May 11th to remove the cancer, some of the tissue surrounding it and the lymph nodes. After that she'll have chemo and radiation.

Of course, the treatment will be scheduled around our cruise to Alaska! :woohoo:

Anyway, keep her in your thoughts and send a little pixie dust Carolyn's way.

Tom

WOW Tom, so sorry to hear that! Glad that she will still be cruising with us. I will have her and your family in my prayers!!!!

My phone does not ring that often..most communication on it is texting....

DH is tech illiterate so he does not even have a phone...he uses mine when he goes out when I'm home. He does not text so I call him...and if he didn't like the ring tone I have on my phone than he needs to get phone savey(sp) and get his own with his own choice of ring tone :lmao: However he does not mind the ring tone. I will most likely change it once the cruise is over....it is like a get ready here I come ring tone. :cool1:

For sure if my phone was ringing all the time it for sure would get annoying...but so would all my other choices of ring tones...:goodvibes

read this on the above trip report about pins....I love getting the pins mostly the limited additions to keep on my lanyard

This cruise they are distributing wristbands to the first 500 people who line up this morning. Those 500 will each be able to buy up to 2 of the limited edition pins for this cruise. This time it worked out quite well. We arrived at 8:00 o’clock, an hour before they were scheduled to begin distribution. We were both surprised; there were only about 50 people lined up ahead of us. Carol stood in the line chatting with all the others who share her addiction affliction mania. My poopy knees won’t let me stand that long so I sat on a nearby staircase and joined her when the line started to move. By 9:15 we were finished and had our coveted wristbands. We’ll pick up the pins later!

I think that they had to wait in line because they were on the repo so they only had so many, I wouldn't expect that one our cruise (but I could be wrong).

On the other cruises that were were firsts but not repos that I was on also had us wait in line for the pins.....and it was a pain. The longest line was the repo through the panama canal....that was crazy.

The first Mexican cruise I went on that they had was also a long line....we missed out. But someone had a couple of them and traded me another pin that I had 2 of so it worked out.

I am not into pin trading but I do like to collect them for my lanyard...but only for DCL...don't wear lanyard to like DL or WDW.....

So many people will want the Alaska pin(if they have one) so they will have to do it this way. I hope they do.

Wonder what the Castaway Cay club gift will be????? hmmmm do they give them out when not heading to CC cant remember....I think they do....

Definitely something that we are going to have to find out. I really don't want to have to wait in line, but if I have to to get one, I certainly will!

I have wondered too what the CC gift will be? Wonder if it will be different than before? You'd have to think it would be since flip flop rice krispie treats don't fit well with Alaska :goodvibes

Every cruise I have been on they have given different CC gifts....I dont know if it is a year thing or a cruise thing....I know that everyone that takes the Alaskan cruise will get the same CC gift....but not sure if the ones also taking the Carribian cruise the same year will get the same gift.

I know with all the special first time cruises we have gotten something special along with the regular gift...but not sure this year. Sure we will find out soon from tother this week that are on the cruise.

Not exactly what I was expecting, but still looks good...better than the pirate party menu in my eyes :thumbsup2

Now that the first cruise will be starting soon, we should be able to get answers to our questions. Over on the main cruise board, they started a list of questions that the early AK cruisers said they would answer for us. Here it is in case you want to view:

it all sounds good to me....but I'm hungry right now :lmao:
for sure the crab legs will be a favorite at our table....have never tried Elk so will try that ......not big on Salmon but will try the appetizer....and will most likely try some of all of it.....I never get just one meal....I will get like 3 appetizers since they are so small.....2 main courses....and what ever else I can fit inside of me. :rotfl2:
