ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

Hopefully, not everyone on board will figure out how limited thw merchandise might be until we've all had a chance to "brouse". ;)

We are SO looking forward to this perk! I'm sure it doesn't justify what we spent to sneak a Dream cruise in so we could be gold for Alaska, but it helped me rationalize. ;)

I am hoping not only those on board but those on the cruise before us....maybe they won't read our thread :rotfl:

How wonderful that you made Gold! and got to do the Dream. Congrats!:thumbsup2

I have my list and will be scoping it out right after I try to fix my Palo ressies!

I'm assuming the shops won't open up until we're at sea similar to the cruises out of Port Canaveral. Has anyone looked at the Navigators recently to know if this is true?

It will probably be around dinner time. They can't be open while we are in ports. Linda would know since she has already had the pleasure of this cruise.

Ohhhh....okay now I understand why the post about a line:rotfl:

I sure have a lot to learn still!

this will be good practice for when I finally do the dream and fantasy cruises :)

I plan to do my packing layout tomorrow - :laundy: whatever still needs to be done and :moped: head out to get those last purchases for my FE and finish my magnets and shirts. We have a state holiday tomorrow so that is the plan.

I will be doing our Relay for Life on Saturday/Sunday so will probably not get alot done. the Countdown is on! We leave on friday the 26th and I took that day off to get any last minute things done.

Soon everyone! Soon:mickeyjum:donald::goofy::stitch::jumping1:party::yay::woohoo::banana:

For those doing FE are you labeling your gifts as to whom it is from? I am debating making labels for ours....

I hear what you are saying. My husband is trying to make sure that I reach Platinum by our October 2012 cruise. This cruise will only be number seven so, I will have to sneak in 3 more before then :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes.

Linda hope your package arrives today:goodvibes My last FE gift arrived a couple days ago and I picked up the last of the items I wanted for the little goodie bags I am giving to my family for the cruise.

My FE gifts arrived by priority mail last night! I am very happy with them. I hope the group enjoys!

Yep, they coincide opening up at the exact same time as main dinner seating (6 pm). So needless to say, I am always late for dinner the first night.
Since I already bought all my stuff on the inaugural Alaska, there isn't really anything I need, except I am going to try to pick up a 12 x 12 scrapbook for a friend who forgot to purchase on our cruise.

However, for this cruise I made reservations for my family in Palo the first night at 6:30 p.m., so maybe I can sneak off to the stores, right before our reservation! Always a reason to shop and snag that $25.00 store credit, so I will at least have to spend $100.........:rotfl:

Awww what a nice Hubby! And now I know why you are going solo...:thumbsup2

How wonderful! Such a relief I bet.

No worries on enjoying them as I am already excited for whatever everyone shares! just the fact that we are doing this is FUN!

I made labels on the computer just using peel/stick address labels with my Dis name on them and a short little greeting, I also handwrite the stateroom number they are going to so it makes delivery a little easier. They are fast and quick to do. But not necessary at all.

Don't you just love crossing things off the list:)

That definetly sounds like a plan!!!! This cruise gives me plat. I am hoping it let me snag a cabana for next June.

Bill and I are in Palo at 6:30 on the fitst night as well. I guess we will see you
there!

I will definitely be sneaking down to do a little shopping as I really want Alaska scrapbook paper and hopefully a pin or two. That would make me so happy! We went on the last cruise of the season in the Med last year and there were still items, so I have been so sad hearing that we may not get any small momentos of the cruise from the ship.

Thanks for the info everyone on another gold perk that I wasn't aware of - spend $100 and get a $25 credit:goodvibes We still have a way to go as well
as this will be #2 with #3 coming next Spring. I can never have too much information!

hey all Deb has a question that I think you guys might be able to answer. I have not cruised Disney is a few years so I was not sure about it. so here it goes.

good morning
this is a stupid question i know...but gotta ask
do you have any idea what kind of blankets they use on the ship? Rick can't use those hotel blankets that feel like foam..know what i'm talking about?

if you are talking about on deck the ones we had in the Mediterranean were regular blue cotton blankets, i don't know what they stocked up on for Alaska.

I have my own blanket that I love that I bought from WDW and will be bringing that. It isn't very big but it is fleece! and rolls up nicely so will have it in my carry on for the plane too.

Got my lugagge!!:cheer2:
Repacking and checking things off my list!!
Doing the magnets:yay:
And the t-shirt iron ons:)

Getting very excited!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Aspen is 5 1/2 so think this will work out perfect! We are staying at Pan Pacific so hope to board early and head to the pools if the weather is good.

Maybe we need to get them all together!

WOuld love for them all to meet. We are in room 2111. Thinking we will not be on the boat until late.

Also I am great with text. If you identify yourself as on the Dis Board.

Hi Magical Fan:
So glad you got your luggage and getting excited!!!

To everyone:

So sweet for you all to worried about us and our plans at Grouse. We are going to go for it. My son is really hoping to paraglide. We will judge our time leaving and may not eat. But so appreciate the love.

Also: Do we have to make tags? I am feeling so overwhelmed. There has been a lot going on in our family. Let me know. Or the ones without tags are from me.

I am hoping to buy some Disney Cruise Christmas ornaments. And some pins for a friend.
