I probably won't post too much more on this cruise before we go, but I will do a full report when we get back.I think I am going to go back and blog my Dream cruise now, it will prep me and keep me occupied for the next 20 days :)

Just read your blog.....what a great start. It will be so much fun to read your report when we get back. Okay, not as much fun as the cruise itself but at least we will all be able to re-live our experiences through you.

I'm also looking forward to everyone's trip reports. I haven't had much free time lately but I will try to catch up. So who all is doing TRs?

Grumpymom, I am doing a TR also, with a PTR, I started it back in January...lol if anyone is interested in reading it the link is in my signature ;)

I had a dream last night that we were stalked by bears on our Skagway hike :scared: sheesh!

Getting closer: 23 days until the cruise, 20 days until I leave for Seattle, how come "less than three weeks" sounds much smaller than "20 days"?:hourglass

3 Weeks Until the Cruise!!

I know!!!! Can you believe it??? My kids still don't know yet, and I still haven't started packing yet. The pressure is mounting and I might have to tell them just so I can get a little help around here getting ready for it all......
:worried:

:worried:

Maybe you can do it in a cool way? like with a video or something, then put them to work:rotfl:

19 DAYS.......don't laugh, but packed except for a few last minute things and all FE gifts done, labelled, bagged and packed in a suitcase. My grandson is flying in on Saturday, June 9th and we have to go shopping for dress clothes, dress shoes, and hiking boots. Side note: my grandson was at WDW Star Wars Weekend last Sunday and was picked to be a Padwan in the parade!

Oh my gosh! You are going to be one busy lady that weekend!
I have started creating to-do lists, but not packing yet. Soon... not yet.

He's got quite a summer! That is so cool I have always wanted to go to SWW:darth:

I love Star Wars Weekends! This is the first year we will have to miss in a while. It's alright though we get to go to Alaska with you all instead!!

It is so funny, the more I look into Seattle, the longer I want to stay there. There is sooo much to do and not nearly enough time to do it all in. I might have to plan another trip just to Seattle! I have a feeling we are really going to enjoy our pre-days and post-day there!

I have started packing, and spring (early summer) cleaning my house from top to bottom! My mom is dog/house sitting for us and I want it to be perfect when she gets here! I am also in the middle of planning a bridal shower for my sister-in-law and have to send out the invitations today! Too much to do...so little time...LOL! 19 days until the cruise!:dance3::banana::goodvibes

WAHH!!! only 17 days left till Seattle and I am NO where near ready!
:scared1:
I still have to finish FEs, figure out what we are going to do in Seattle, and pack. At least I am done shopping... I think? So much to do! And GO!

I thought that too - months ago! Then DH reconsidered his original decision to wear a jacket he already owned, and decided instead that he needed fleece and an overcoat raincoat - exactly as I had planned for DD and myself.
Only thing is, I bought our's last fall when supplies were plentiful <SMH>.

We found jackets for him at Dick's Sporting Goods last weekend, but our choices were few and the prices were high. Oh well......

I live 25 min from Seattle, so if anyone has any questions about the area, I'd love to help you out the best I can. :)

Fun things to do in Seattle: Seattle Center has the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center (with IMAX), EMP (Rock and Roll music museum), and Ride the Ducks. And the Monorail will take you to Westlake Center and back.
North of Downtown is the Ballard Locks, Fisherman's Wharf (where some of the Deadliest Catch boats dock; you can even tour the Sea Star! They let you touch EVERYTHING on that boat! And we even met Catain Larry Hendrix once on the boat!), Woodland Park Zoo.
South of Downtown (So Do) has Safeco Field where the Mariners play, Centurylink Field where the Sounders play, the Underground Tour (MY FAVORITE!!!) where you learn about Seattle's history and tour the old city UNDER the streets...,
Mid-town has Pike's Market, the very 1st Starbucks location, Westlake Center shopping, Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum.

So what do you think the chances are we could get "Brave" as one of the movies on our cruise? Know it opens on the 22nd but it's only a few days...probably wishful thinking but would love to see it.

Can't believe we leave in TWO WEEKS! It seemed like forever to get here and now time is flying (probably because so much left to do!) :scared1:

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I've been down for a week with Bronchitis. I haven't been able to do anything for the trip and my house looks like a tornado hit. I am so far behind and totally panicking!!
I have never been soooo ready for vacation and yet.....totally NOT ready. :rotfl:

Bkoehl i was so hoping for Brave but I am not sure. It will not be released until the 22nd. If we were on that cruise maybe,, there's always hoping!

grumpymom get better......if it makes you feel better I haven't packed a thing either!:faint: I know what you mean about being so ready but not ready at all!

Isn't everyone so excited to leave! I know the last two weeks for me will fly by. My husband has informed me that I need to start leaving out my clothes for packing. If I did the packing I would exceed my number of luggage tags. :rotfl2:

I have a question for the frequent cruisers out there. What do you do in between excursions? On Skagway day we have two excursions planned: the helicopter and the White Pass/Suspension Bridge. Do we just go back to the boat after the first excursion and wait for the next one to begin?

Also, is anyone leaving the ship in Victoria? We are still undecided and I was wondering what everyone else was thinking about doing.

You will have to return to the ship to meet up with your group for the second excursion. However, depending on how much time you have you can also explore on your on too.

We have decided not to get off the ship in Victoria. There just wasn't anything that interested us enough to miss the last night of Wonder.

Going shopping tomorrow for my Formal dress. Wish me LOTS of luck.
