Alaska 06/11/12 Anyone Sailing ?

That's strange that all of the movies are older except Avengers, I thought they would have had more first runs movies like the new Disney Nature Chimpanzee one instead of African Cats...oh well, maybe they will add a new one, if only we were on the cruise a week later, Brave comes out that next week, can't wait to see that one, if only they would do a Premiere at Sea for us...hehe!

Me too.. I was thinking they might show Brave don't they usually premiere or show movies early on DCL? I am pretty sure they did on our Med cruise for Socerer's Aprentice.

Got my cruise docs, too! Did a preliminary packing today to see if my suitcase would make the 50 lb. weight limit. It did not!!! Now I'm re-evaluating what I wanted to take on the cruise and I've got it down to 47 lbs. I hope Delta's scale agrees with mine.

The luggage restrictions / weight issue is something I still need to deal with. I want to find a dress or pantsuit for the semi-formal/Palo dinners first though. Maybe this week I live in fear of being over as you were..... or so close their scale disagrees with mine. Yikes!

Still waiting on my cruise docs I don't even live that far from Florida, I live in NC for goodness sake!

I have started actually packing! I am putting everything in that I know I won't wear or use before the cruise, I changed suitcases once already because the first one I tried was 13 lbs by itself, so I found a lighter one and am trying that one to see how much it will hold without going over. I feel like I am on some sort of game show, if I pack my bag correctly I will get to take everything I want but if I don't I am going to lose and owe Us Airways a load of cash! Grrr. I mean I am already getting charged for luggage, we are going to be gone for 11 1/2 Days total, do they want me to just pack a carry on and wear the same clothes over and over...ROFLMAO

Okay so we made it back from the school trip and now I can focus on Alaska!

I think I am done with all the shoppping. I'm ready to start putting things in suitcases and to give the house a really good cleaning. I hate coming home to a house that needs work.

It happened right as my girl scout meeting was ending and the parents were picking their kids up. It took everything I had not to explode with excitement and ruin the surprise for my kids.
I waved the last girl scout goodbye, hopped in my car, and rolled up all the windows to call my sister and tell her to check her mailbox! My kids must think their mom is losing her marbles!

I'm doing what some of you are: I'm grabbing things I know my kids won't notice are gone from their closet and I'm starting to pack. Dressy outfits that I won't need before June for myself, too. Suitcases are hidded in the garage and will start to get filled soon.....

We have surprised the kids with WDW vacations, but never a cruise. Good luck. It will be great surpise!

I'd call DCL, Andrea. If for no other reason than to give you peace of mind. If I got my cruise docs in Indiana, you certainly should have gotten yours in NC.

I got them today! Maybe I just have mediocre mail service...LOL Nothing against the post office though my uncle is a mail carrier I can finally do the doc dance!! YAY

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am trying to do last minute planning, but I guess it isn't really last minute, I mean DH and I still have 27 Days, I have done so much pre-planning I kind of have a break just to be excited now! All I have left to do really is show up

I ordered my rental lens from Borrow lenses for my camera today! I have it arriving June 6th and renting it for 2 weeks. It is a telephoto, but not a monster one. Although I would love one of those, I just can't see myself carrying one around all day. So I rented something bait more manageable. It goes up to 200 zoom, which is a little more then the 135 I own. I think it will be ok, like I said I don't want to break my back!

On a side note I am starting to worry about packing. Ny is having crazy weather. It cold one day, hot another, raining another. So it looks like I will be doing some last minute packing because we are using a lot of the clothes and gear we were planning on packing.

Andrea you are such a great planner!

Scrapbooker- you are such a cool mom. You kids are going to freak out!
