Alamo Rental Question

I have a rental with Alamo for next week. I used the Walmart Code (430710) for the free additional driver and Entertainment Coupon for $25 off.

I called Alamo today to confirm my reservation and they said that the do not see the free additional driver but do see the $25 coupon. I explained that both on on the printed confirmation.

The agent said that I need proof of the free driver from the Wal Mart code. Where do I get that? Has anyone ever had to show proof?

Did you make your ressie online? If so, when you check, it should show the free additional driver. Why even bother calling and talking to an agent? Just finish your ressie online by entering in your driver's license numbers (you and your other driver) and print it out. I even printed out the Entertainment coupon in case I had to show it. When we got to the rental terminals, I used a Kiosk, hit a few prompts, and off we went to the garage to have our pick of whatever car we wanted (there were 10 to choose from). Simple!

The original reservation was made on-line and it shows the free additional driver. However, last week when I called to add my QS number, the agent had to modify the reservation. They gave me a new conf# but said that since it was a modiifed res I could not have a new confirmation in writing. They assured me that the modified res would match the origianl res. I was calling to verifiy just that. The agent pulled up the old res and the modifed and neither had anything about a free additional driver even though it was on the printed conf from the orig res.

Don't you get some kind of free driver perk with your QS account? If not, what's the point? Use the kiosk and get your free driver! You can even enter your license info beforehand for both drivers and it'll show "0.00" next to the extra driver.

You do, but I need the free additional driver for my SIL. QS only entitles to free additional driver for spouse.
