Alamo rates could come down any day now!

Just like you, we'll be arriving the 15th... and rates seem pretty high yet

It depends on how many reservations they have. If most of their inventory is reserved, there is no reason to drop it.

I get there on the 7th of July and the rates have not dropped! Sticking with my Enterprise reservation unless something better comes along.

If they always dropped last minute, no one would reserve ahead of time. It used to be they dropped pretty steady closer to the date during off season but since they have cut inventories the rates have gone way up and I haven't seen them drop much. I've been using my corporate rate, it's the best I can find ($178/week). It used to be I could get an intermediate for $100-$125/week incl taxes. Now it's double.
