Alamo questions....

We have a great rate with Alamo for an upcoming trip....$101.00 for a mid-size for 8 days. I have an internet coupon (no hard copy) and am a QS member. This will be my first time using Alamo since I have signed up for QS and the rules state that I cannot check in online with any kind of coupon, even an ecoupon. Also some folks have said they had to go to the in terminal counter because they had to sign something as first time QS members.I did a search here and there are different answers about going straight to the garage counters and then getting your car.....can I do this or do I have to go the QS line in the terminal? Anyone with experience doing this? I don't want to have to go back to the terminal and it seems as though most people have been able to do this in the garage counters.TIA.

Sorry I can't answer your question... but your post has me wondering...Do you get a better rate with QS than without? We always use Alamo, but never signed up for the QS. Is there a fee involved for QS use?

No fee to join QS and supposed to work similar to EA with National which I have used many times. And no the rate is not less because of QS, just using the QS to hopefully avoid the long lines at Alamo. Last time I rented from them it was a 45 minute wait. Just cannot beat the rate I have this time with Alamo though. Anyone out there who has done this? Oh, I used an e-coupon for $25.00 off...the only coupon that would work on my dates once the rates went so low and the AMEX code from Mousesavers.

You can still use the kiosk with a coupon. You can bypass the often huge line and go right to the kiosk. It is touch screen and very simple. It takes about 3 minutes.

Yes the ecoupon is still working (I only check to see if I have a lower rate about 5 times a day !!!LOL )I got the coupon on this forum but it was from FlyerTalk (AD3829MRB) . Someone called Alamo and asked if they needed a hard copy and they said no since it was an ecoupon.Good Luck!!

I searched online, and could not actually find a "coupon" any where either, so I called, and confirmed with someone at reservations, that if it is an "ecoupon", we don't need a print out, and that we can also still quality for the online checkin!

I just want to clarify the use of the E-Coupon. This is not a coupon that has to be used with an Amex credit card is it?

If someone could just let me know ASAP, I've got a great rate for my friend who is leaving for WDW on Sunday. Her rate went down another $28 with this e-coupon.

I used the ecoupon and then when I tried to check in online, it would not let me, saying this reservation doesn't qualify for online checkin. I looked at the fine print and it says you can't do online checkin with a coupon (including a ecoupon). Has anyone been able to do online checkin with this coupon?

The first time I rented with my new QS membership I walked strait out to the garage check in, there was nobody in line, gave the attendant my confirmation # and coupon, signed the papers, and then he told me to go pick a car. We picked out a car and drove to the exit where another attendant looked over my papers and took the car info hanging from the rear view mirror. It really only took 5-10min from the time I got my luggage to being on the road!

I just tried the code and it dropped my rate $27 to $93 for 8 days with prepay. I couldn't use my QS and prepay so I took the bigger discount and hope the line for the kiosk isn't long.

I appreciate the answers re QS and picking up my car but I want everyone to know the code is from someone else here on the transporation board (don't remember who it was) and though I am very glad to share and pass it on, don't want to "steal" the credit!

Several people on this forum called in regards to this ecoupon and were told that there is no hard copy since it is an internet coupon.And to sign up for QS program go to business benefits and it is listed there. Mousesavers says we qualify as "small business". I'm sure some of here on the DIS qualify as "big business" in regards to our WDW travel!!!!
