So excited.. !! Just reserved our mini van for next Aug!! 8 days and only $269!! (thanks to a 20% off code) thats not counting tax but still! I checked all other sites and I was running close to $800. Major difference in price was dropping off at MCO instead of Swan/Dolphin by over $200!

Can you pm me the code. Going on cruise next Aug and would love a minivan. Thanks!

No need to PM the code. Post it here for all to see. Codes (genrally) aren't a secretive thing! Be careful on teh cruise that you remember to factor the cost of the car rental AND the parking at the dock. Most of the time (especially for 7 day cruises) you'll do better with the DCL bus, even if you stay a night at the world to hitch the ride.

Thanks OP. I just booked the minivan with Alamo for our August 2011 trip. I just booked my room yesterday -- BLT, standard 1 bedroom. The only code I had gave 10% off (7015210). I would love to see if anyone has a better code to save more. While not the cheapest price I've gotten for a minivan, it's reasonable to reserve it now and check back later. I've always been lucky with adding coupons later without the rate changing, so will do that when the time comes.

I have a 20% off code... its a code on a site that is available to the public to I will post it.. 372109

Do you belong to the Massachusetts Teachers Association?

If not, then you are ineligible to use the code, regardless of where it is found. It would be like using someone's credit card that you found on the street. Just because something can be seen by the public doesn't mean the code is a code that the public can use.

I just reserved a full size SUV or next Aug. using the BJs code and the price with tax was was $316 - that is over $150 less than the price we payed this past Aug. for a standard SUV. I will be able to save another $25 with BJs updates its coupons next year, this also includes a free extra driver. Not sure why the prices are so much lower but I'm extremely happy.

IMO, a bit of a stretch to say it is like credit card theft, but your point is understood.

Yes I do.
You do not need to be a member to access the code either thats why I posted it.

I respectfully disagree, you do need to be a member to use the code:

http://www.mtabenefits.com/

Alamo discounts are a member perk (along with many others), to use them you need to be a member.

Again, the codes may be listed out in the open, but that doesn't matter, the website states that discounts are a member benefit.

Use of a code that one is not eligible is grounds for the contract to be considered void in the event there is an instance, based on grounds of fraud. Using someone elses credit card is also fraud (and theft), but on the simplest terms neither is a good thing.

I can't get anything with a decent price through BJs. Going Feb 25-Mar 5, it seems most costco/Bjs coupons and contract ids expire 12/31/10.

Well please delete your post with the code in it then so others are not confused. :scared1:

If you are renting a car for a cruise you can pick a car up at the airport and drop it off at the rental car location by the port. And the rental car company has a shuttle that will take you to the boat for free. However Alamo does not have a rental car location by the port. Budget, Avis and Dollar do.

Why rent a car and pay a daily rental rate for a car that will sit parked in a lot for 7 days at the port. Not to mention you have to pay a daily rate to park a car at the port.

Then when the cruise is over, all of the rental car company's have shuttle buses waiting at the port to take customer back to the rental agency to rent a car to go back to WDW or the airport or were ever you happen to be headed.

No you will not be charged a drop off fee because you rented at one location and are dropping off at another.

NHDisneyFan - I think it may be because you are going during the "Spring Break" time. I know the coupons are only through Dec 2010 but I got that price for the SUV with just using their normal 25% off. I will add the coupong later. I did try your dates and everything was almost triple what I was given as the price. Hopefully a deal will come along that can help you.

Thanks OP. Im planning on going late next Aug into Sept and decided to check my dates after your post. I used the *********** code and got the same rate as you for a week in a minivan. I think it was 350 after taxes. Oddly enough, it was the same rate as the midsize?

I think the major difference here in rates is the pick up drop off location. In the past we have always picked up/dropped off at Swan/Dolphin b/c it was cheaper than the airport.. !

I plugged in dates for a week in late August with no codes at Alamo and the $269 came up for the minivan and crossover. Even if your plans aren't set, I'd encourage you to go ahead and make a reservation. Alamo has been pretty good about letting you adjust the reservation while keeping the rate...and you can always cancel.

I just tried carrentalsavers and got a great rate through Budget - $358 including taxes and fees for a minivan for 8 days.

I noticed today (sept 21, 2010) costco almo coupon most go thru 12-11 so check them off if your a member. Also Avis and Budget go thru 6-11

jmho, alamo in MCO garage kiosk is rather vigorous asking for ID as to code eligibility:rolleyes1. I'd never chance an iffy corporate ID there as i've had to produce both AAA & SAMs cards in the past along w/coupons & have been denied when coupon code didn't match the corporate code indicated on reservation, btw i am QS with them

Main reason we use National there is price in same ballpark, the service is very friendly & it doesn't take much to earn free days.:goodvibes. No matter what corporate code/id we use; just drive up w/CC, DL & ExA card in hand & we're off!
