Aladdin seating question

I am not sure if this covered somewhere, but I couldn't find the exact answer so I will ask here....

Can you sit in the floor seats at the Aladdin show or do you have to have special tickets or upgrades?

Every time I have been there, I have been directed to the mezzanine so I wasn't sure if I had just been arriving late or if I had to have a special entry.

I believe you can sit wherever unless you have Preferred Seating for the show and then you'd sit in the designated area. I think if you look at the way they corral you outside the building, each designated area goes into a different area of the building. So you may have been standing in the area that goes into the door for Mezzanine seating.

I have seen the show twice and neither times did we wait very long to get in. In fact, the 2nd time (in March), we just happened upon it and I got great seats on the floor, down in front, like the 2nd row back. I think once they herd everyone in, then they try to fill in the gaps of empty seats. So maybe waiting until right before the show starts is a better way to get decent seats!

PS you are let in first, but can sit anywhere. Honestly, the mezzanine has better seating then up front IMO.

If you want to sit on the floor level you need to be at the theater about a half hour before show time. The preferred seating passes will guarantee you a floor level seat, everyone else is first come first serve. On Sunday we arrived 15 minutes before the show and got front row of the mazzanine. I am happy with either of those positions, they each have their own benefits.

Maybe I am confused......is there not different doors that take you to different areas of the theater? I think I am getting that theater confused with one down in WDW.

Seating is first come first serve. The people at the front of the line will get to enter at the downstairs door which leads them to the floor seating. Once the maximum cap is met, CMs will close off that line and start a separate line for mezzanine seating. So depending on how early you get there, you will either be sitting upstairs or downstairs, however you will still be able to choose your seats within your area. Hope that makes sense...

When you line up, there are different lines for where you want to sit. We got there at 1:15 last summer and I think the show started at 1:50 or 2. I forget exactly. We lined up in the orchestra row and we had a amazing seats three rows back from the stage. We were on the left aisle of the right hand section so just off center a tad. We could see the parade go right by us and the actors' faces clearly. We didn't have a good view of the people on the flying carpet because they were above us, but we could see well enough and that is only a small part of the show. We liked being able to see everything else up close.

We choose to sit in the second section on the floor, we can still see everything that goes on. PS=sit anywhere you want to.
