Al Lutz in Miceage.com says DVC sales are soft

He also says that sales in California have been falling short of goals and have been disappointing. It looks like we will be able to buy GCV without too much problem or competition from new members on the left coast.

I could see west coasters buying in a GCV over FL DVC resorts. If they would put them on sale, I'd bet sales would increase. Plus once they start sales on Hawaii, the west coast sales should also increase.

while all DVC members will get early opportunity to buy imo it'd be nice if the local DVCers (ie california) would get 1st dibs since the initial offering will be small & it is their hometown park

I am only too happy to hear that the GCV might not sell out in the first week! Maybe our GCV purchase this October will work after all. We'll be there to purchase in October right after the 1st two weeks of sales commence (the period for Californian purchases only) - assuming the rumours are true.
