Quick question... Is there free wifi at AKV Jambo?

Disney doesn't have wifi at their resorts except at times in convention resorts and areas 9only for the connvention purposes actually. They do provide free wired internet in the rooms to DVC members staying through member services. If you are not a DVC member then the charge is $9.95 per 24 hour period.

Vero Beach does have wireless internet which is free for members staying on points.

A lot of visitors bring their own wireless router so that they aren't tethered to the wall with their laptop.

We bought a little travel router 40.00 I think, what a life saver! We stayed in a 2 bedroom BLT and I was floored to see the ONLY connection was in the master bedroom, which is aweful! We had our 2 college aged DD's with us and they needed to e-mail assignments and do on line test so I am glad we brought it!

As long as you are staying on points it's free.

Not correct. It is possible but unlikely to be charged. If you are there is no recourse as you are not the DVC member. Members are charged occasionally and have to show the blue member card to have the charges reversed. As a renter you are not entitled to free internet if you get it consider it pixie dust.
