AKV Waitlisted at BLT

We currently have a Deluxe Studio Standard View booked at AKV. We really wanted to stay at BLT, so we are wait listed for a Deluxe Studio, Standard View.

How common is it to get a wait listed room?
We are staying Thursday Sept 6 to Sunday, Sept 9th.

You will have better luck if you wait list a Lake View studio. There aren't many Standard View rooms at BLT so your odds of the WL coming through are small. You can have two active wait lists at one time so maybe you could add one for BLT LV.

I agree that a waitlist for a lake view is more likely to come through than one for a standard view, but you never really know. Does your wiatlist expire at 31 days? If so, consider extending it to 7 days. Since the BLT option costs more than the AKV option, there's no downside to keeping the waitlist until 7 days.

You are very close to the 31 day mark - for your 9/6/12 check in, that is August 6 (Monday). So there may be some movement today and tomorrow. Members who are not sure they will use a reservation often cancel at the 31 day mark to avoid the holding account.

Keep a close eye on the online system. If nothing comes through by early next week, consider getting excited about AKV.

I also agree! I am a new member but have been reading the Disboards since we joined in May and I have seen a lot about BLT having limited standard views. Just curious, how long ago did you book your trip?

In 15 years of membership, I've waitlisted twice. Got neither of them. Both were waitlisted several months out.
