We have a savanna view studio booked for our 20th anniversary, what should I request, is one savanna better then another? It's our first time staying at AKL at all. Thanks!

We stayed in a two bedroom in May at Jambo, savannah view. I think it was room 5007 and 5009, I think. It was off the elevator straight down the hall on the left about the second room from the large windows on the left. It was on Zebra Trail. It was a good location. There were giraffe outside our balcony every day. One nite they slept outside for about 4 hours. We saw zebra, ancole cattle, red river hogs, etc. It was great.

We had a 2 bedroom out on the end of the Zebra trail overlooking a watering hole on the "back side" of the Uzima savanna. We had lots of animals to view all day and night long. I was a bit concerned at first, because the "people pen" was right below us, but it wasn't an issue at all. I loved watching the giraffes pull leaves and bark off the palm trees. It's a long walk down a long hallway, but well worth it when you get there!

This is my first time staying at a DVC studio and also our first time at AKL. I am a little bit confused. We are staying at Jambo House in a studio. Are the studios only on the 5th floor? ALso, will we need to bring our own linens or any other supplies we would not normally have for staying at a regular disney resort? thanks!

All DVC units at Jambo are on the 5th floor. It's no different than any other Disney resort for amenities. Towels, linens, shampoo etc. Plus, you'll have a kitchenette.

Arusha or Uzima (and you might see some of the new savannah too).

* Arusha Savannah: Pelicans, geese, giraffe, ankole cattle, zebra, Wildebeast, eland, gemsbok
* Uzima Savannah: Giraffe, Impala, Kudu, Bongo, Blesbok, Thompsons Gazelles
* Sunset Savannah: Male Giraffe, Bongo, Impala, Thompsons Gazelles, Ostrich, Ankole Cattle, Waterbuck, African crown cranes, stork and blue cranes.

Arusha is the savanna to request at jambo. It's the main, central savanna.

I stayed at Kidani this past spring, 2b/r savannah view. Seems like the animals move around alot so maybe no better location than another. Enjoy your vacation.

just stayed in a 2 bedroom savanna view at kidani room 2073 (something like that) not a good view. Not much to see
