AKV Stay in FEB!

Going to AKV February 8-12 2009, Can't wait!! got a standard view Studio, thats pretty much what they had. Any requests i should make? Room location, or floor?

You will be in Jambo House (the Lodge building). All of the Standard View rooms at AKV's Jambo House are on the 5th floor and face the pool area. This map shows the location of the different booking levels. The Standard View rooms are in the blue section.

In this aerial shot of the pool area you can see that the Standard View rooms along the lobby and at the start of the Zebra Trail will have the roof of Boma and Jiko as part of their view. You could try asking to be located away from the lobby if you want to avoid the roof view, but with only 13 Standard View studios (3 dedicated studios, 10 lockoff studios) you may not have a lot of options. Even if you do get a "roof view" I think you can still see the pool, you just have to look out past the roof.

You can request a view, but it will be just that...a request. As you can see from Lisa's map, values can be pool, savanna or parking lot at Jambo house.

As Diane said, a view request is just a request. I expect the Value rooms are fully booked most of the time. So some guests are going to end up with a parking lot view no matter what they requested. Good luck!
