How often have you been able to book a Club Kiliminjaro studios at 11 months? TIA!

There are 5 club level 2BR lock-offs (combined studio and 1BR) and thus if the studios fill that also means the 2BRs are full. The studios/2BRs tend to fill right at 8 a.m. eastern at 11 months out, or before that time, about 90% of the year. The 1BRs significantly less than that but they also disappear right at 11 months often, particularly during the DVC high demand time of the year that runs from late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan.

If you are considering purchasing AKV, do not do so with any expectation to be able to usually get club level rooms. The same applies to the value rooms.

Club level villas are on the 6th floor in Jambo house, regular villas in Jambo are on the 5th floor. Club level has access to the lounge on the 6th floor & the ‘free’ food and drink offerings that normally come w/ a club room.
AKV is the only DVC resort that offers club villas AFAIK.
Oh, and they cost a lot of points - I don’t know how many since I’ve never gotten a club villa even though I own at AKV.

Typically, I think you'll find the Club Level rooms at AKV cost about 10-15% more points than a comparable savanna view room. But when you consider the food and drinks you have access to all day, it's not a bad way to spend your points!

AKV CL Villas also include daily housekeeping and evening turndown service.

I used to get one, either studio or one bedroom every year for a short 2-4 night stay. Walking has become the norm, and I don’t bother even trying any more.

It was fun, I enjoyed the offerings, views not so much. One year the concierge area was being refurbished and we had other area rooms, and yes, the savannah view was excellent then.

I agree with Bobbiwoz. I think the AKV Club rooms might be the most 'walked' rooms on the DVC charts. Being the only Club Level option for DVC, and the fact that there are so few - it's a very difficult room to get anymore. We really enjoy it when we can get them - the lounge and the food/drink options are outstanding. But we don't walk reservations - and in recent years, we've gotten these rooms by a combination of luck - and by vacationing around them! We recently found a 3-night window of availability for later this year - and we grabbed them and then filled in around it. It was probably a cancellation I stumbled upon. It was a time period we were looking to go anyway - and now we'll do a split stay around it. But trying to get these rooms for actual specific dates is tough.

Ive been able to get Xmas studios for the past 3 years with out walking at 11 months. If you are on right at 0800 you usally have a decent chance. If not waitlists at 11 months have a good chance of coming thru. I was able to get 3 Club studios for Xmas last year. 1 @ 11 months, 1 Waitlisted @ 11 months (filled within 3 days) , and 1 a few months before Xmas.

If you get savanna view from the Concierge villas, it is somewhat blocked by the roof overhang. Same with the pool/roof views. You don't get to request a view.

2011....had a savannah view...loved the interaction of this giraffe and the food put out for him!

It was a great CL stay. Sometimes we had the view of the pool area, but either way, we did enjoy CL. I am glad SPLzero has been able to be so successful getting them!
