April 10-April 12 we stayed as first time DVC owners. My mother, who flew in from Seattle stayed with us before we took off for our DCL cruise. My mom flew on a direct flight from SEA-MCO (I guess they had to switch gates/plane in SEA) because her luggage never made it to our room from DME or the airline. That Thursday night, April 10 the bell service gentleman and my mom have been trying to reach anybody at this airlines baggage claim and even DME's office. It was late and they were close. Luckily, my mom had packed some clothes in her carry on 'just in case'.

The next morning was our visit to MK- still no luggage. Well later that evening we see this suitcase in our room. However, it wasn't hers. Didn't have any DME tags or ribbons on it that she had prior. Plus it was bigger than what she had brought. Thinking they had made a mistake and put someone else's suitcase in our room. I double check and sure enough, inside was her suitcase all damaged. Disney wrote on the note that the airlines said (paraphasing) on their note that sorry your bag is damaged but it's not our fault because it was worn. My mom told me that yes it's been used but not that bad. When we took it out of this other suitcase, hers was very damaged. So Disney- went ahead and bought/gave her a new one. Put her old one in the new one and left it in our room. I was so worried she wouldn't have her clothes for our 7 night cruise.

I just want to say how wonderful that Animal Kingdom CM's are.
 

That was so nice! While nothing like that has never happened to us at Disney, this the reason we keep coming back! If something bad happens to a guest, Disney will go out of the way to make it right.
 
Great ending to that story! So glad it all worked out and now with the bigger suitcase she'll have more room for souvenirs! Can't wait for upcoming stay here!
