As noted in the chart, AKV Concierge consists of five 2BR lockoffs. There are no dedicated studios. The number of (lockoff) studios in Concierge will depend on how many of the 2BR lockoffs they split up, perhaps two 2BRs, three 1BRs and three studios? I don't really know.

hello! just added on at AKV 110 POINTS (ALSO GOT AN EXTRA 100 FOR INCENTIVE!!!) AUGUST USE YEAR!! I DONT KNOW WHAT UNIT.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3:

just added another 25 pts for UY March 2007 not sure what unit yet- will update when I find out. :cool1:

Just added on 25 more AKV points!

25
June
Unit 40

That makes my total:
235
June
All in unit 40

Based on the new units declared, AKV now has declared 1,252,000 points in the 31 studios, 59 2Br lockoffs and 4 grand villas. This means that the DISers who have posted on this thread own 2.3% of the declared points. I'll be updating post 317 with the new numbers, but I thought I'd post this on its own for those of you subscribing.

I also clearly have too much time on my hands, because I decided to see how many points in total Jambo House is going to be worth. It looks like Kudu Trail is going to be a mirror image of Zebra. Based on that I have assumed that the remaining undeclared rooms are the same as the other wing. This means that Jambo House will have 1,820,000 points for all rooms for a year. If Disney keeps back 2% for their own inventory and sells the rest at $96, Jambo House sales will be worth $171,225,600. (Of which, I was happy to contribute my $19,200)

Excellent job!

June Use Year
120 points
AKV Unit # 5

Hopefully we will be adding on another 60 so that we have 180 at SSR and 180 at AKV :cool1:

have they declared any new units lately??

We have August use year, 160 points and unit 52.

Also, does any know the actual room numbers for each type of room?
i.e. Room 5108 - 5138 in Ostrich trail, which ones of these value rooms has parking lot view value, which ones has savanna view etc....?

JimV, October UY, 160 pts unit 54
JimV, October UY, 160 pts, unit 14

(don't know why they didn't put all 320 points in one unit -- Hmmm)

As a new buyer, I suddenly feel like I have too many points. Maybe I should have bought into another resort as well.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is a "unit"? Is it one of the studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, etc.? Do you have to declare what type of unit you want when you buy? I thought you had flexibility to change depending on your needs on particular trip .. . . very confused . . . . .

You have complete flexibility to book whatever you can with the points you have available.

The unit is part of the building, you are right about that. If a building/part of a building is destroyed the owners of those units share the insurance if Disney doesn't rebuild. Well, that's my understanding of it.

A "unit" is usually a group of rooms, e.g., it can be a couple 2BRs; the rooms that are part of a unit are officially called "Vacation Homes." When you purchase you get a percentage interest in a "unit"; that is basically a unit's only purpose, to define what real estate you actually buy and to give you a use year -- each unit has only one designated use year month. When you reserve, you are put into a vacation home which can be any room in the resort, not just one in your unit; in fact many go forever never actually staying in a room that is within the unit that they purchased. For my first stay at AKV, I had the rare experience of actually having a room that was in my unit. For eleven years staying at BWV, that never happened

As to my AKV ownership: drusba, Feb UY, 360 pts, Unit 25.
