I think if you do what you say you do your not in your room to warrant the need for the view.
you can view the animals from other areas of the hotel. the room view is just for those of us that do use the room more frequently.
i dont nap on holidays im a big kid and cant sleep and love going back to the room early afternoon (not a pool person) and cool off on the balcony with a can from the shop with my ipod... peaceful bliss.
now if your going to your room to sleep your not going to see the animals anyway lol by evening and early mornings the animals are alseep anyways as soon as its dark there hidden in the plantlife.
another great bonus about being in AKL is when there is early magic hours at animal kingdom you are a stones throw away from the park and can be there nice and early for kilimunjaro safari and see some awesome animals that way.
we only booked a savannah view room as it was our honeymoon and we love the use of a private balcony. the hotel is beautiful and you are going to have a wonderful vacation in disney!!.
dont forget Bona Restraunt and Saana offer some amazing food
Jambo House has beautiful arm chairs to it in surrounding a camp fire, i liked to relax there on a very early morning whilst wife was getting ready in the room somthing very thereputic about the flames flickering away.
