AKL or POFQ

The new rates advertised on shopthemouse.com look like AKL will be around the same price as POFQ (with AAA discount). Is it worth it to upgrade? I have never seen the AKL but stayed at POFQ in 1997 (no kids then). Which one has a better pool? Is better for staying with kids (ages 2.5 and 5)? Also, are there viewing areas to see the Savannah? Anyone who has stayed at AKL, can you convince me to upgrade??

If you have stayed at one I would pick the other. We have stayed at AKL and loved every second of being there.

In April we will be staying at POFQ because we have never stayed there.

I am sure you will be happy in either of those places.

Both are very nice resorts. We recently stayed at AKL and were very impressed. It was a beautiful hotel, the animals were incredible and we really enjoyed the extra actitivies like the cms from various African countries who did little info sessions.

As much as we like POFQ we loved the extras at AKL. The only downside we could find was that it seemed out of the way. But the bus service was fabulous. Most of the routes dont share with another resort. So the travel time was very good.
