Wow, this was a busy thread today!! It's great to be on the Resort board again so people can actually find us!

Torsie, you coukd of course splurge on a town car for the way to AKL to take you to AKL and arrange with them to behave as if they would take you to POFQ. So your DF will find out when you pull up to the hotel.

If you are clearing customs at MCO (i.e. if this the first US airport for you) than the luggage feature of ME really would not be so helpful anyway. you will have to get your bags before customs and then you can just hold on to them and take them to the main airport building yourself. We have done that a couple of times and especially after that long flight from Europe it is great to have all your luggage! The airport is very managable with bags. I guess you are used to LHR - in comparisson MCO is fantastic!

Yeah, we will definitely take our bags ourselves, as I like to have them as soon as we get to the room. A long flight always makes me need a shower and clothes change!

I was walking out to Arusha Rock in 2003 with my parents and DD and the area midway out, to the LEFT, was closed off. There was a couple getting married and we later saw them having their wedding dinner at Jiko when we were there for dinner.
I really think that, for a price, you can get married anywhere at WDW (and I mean that in a GOOD way!)

Wonder what that price would be for Cinderella Castle and the wedding night IN the castle?!:rolleyes1

You can't pay to stay in the castle - they wont accept money for it. (Trust me, I've looked and looked:() It has to be a gift from disney. Which I think is the right thing for it really. :)

Its up there....I know, and as far as the suite in the castle....either a celeb...or hopefully for some deserving families..(with children with special needs etc)..it has been reported its definately hands off!!
But brides can dream:) Or "older" brides....still planning my plan of attack for out 10 yr vow renewal:lmao:
I will post dates here as soon as I know!

I just looked it up and Sunrise Terrace is at WL BUT there are 2 awesome terraces/porches at AKL. When I used to go to the Jiko Wine Dinners, the evening started with wines and appetizers passed on the terrace to the left when coming from the lobby entrance. I love these spaces :cloud9:

yes I passed on the Sunrise Terrace...Sunset Pointe was just calling to me...."Diana....you can have the castle and GF in the background of your pics..."..! lol Not to mention just how beautiul that spot is...well my opinion:)

THinking AKV/DCL.....;)

I have an AKL question.....

Are king rooms located everywhere? Or only certain parts of the resort?

Good question, I assume this would be request only at AKL...perhaps someone else can chime in with your answer!!!
We have enjoyed a king in our 1 bdr with AKV!

Oooh, lucky!! I think I'll see if we can have a nosey at some of the villas/suites as we are considering AKL/AKV for our honeymoon.

Guess you proved me wrong!
No Castle and no Castle Suite...
But I know that in general, the sky's the limit :wizard:

DD and I walked out to Sunset Pointe last week for the first time and it was really beautiful :thumbsup2 I am seriously considering BEGGING DH to have a vow renewal there. We have #15 coming up :lovestruc

Goodness! I'm waaaaaaaaaaaay behind! Just wanted to pop in and say HELLO to everyone. I hope to catch up tonight. :goodvibes

...the zebras are never on the Sunset Savannah...

Kimmar, when my DD and I did the Wanyama in July our guide told us that Hartmann Zebra were going to be introduced to the Sunset Savanna. Grant Zebra are still on Arusha. The Hartmann are more dark brown and white. And taller. From a different region of Africa... I know BCV23 did the Wanyama this month so maybe she saw them on Sunset :)

Yes, I think Greg Peccio also told us that the Hartmann Zebras were going to be on the Sunset Savannah....or already were...can't remember as that was over a year ago.

I looked at some pictures from our Wanyama this month and don't see a Zebra in the pictures from Sunset. So I don't think they were on the Savannah that night at any rate.

I agree that king beds are by request in Lodge rooms. We've had two king rooms. One was on Uzima Savannah 3rd floor and the other Arusha Savannah but on the 5th floor so that one is converted to part of a DVC villa now. Hope you get one, torsie.:goodvibes

How cool would that be? It is a lovely spot, isn't it? 15 years...congrats!

Hi everyone! I saw over on Facebook that Owner's Locker is going to start renting spotters scopes to their customers.:banana: I am definitely going to have to try one during my December trip.
