....can YOU say H-U-S-B-A-N-D??? :furious: ...and to think - I actually got ressies at WL for $633.38 for the 2 nights w/tax (woods view!)...:confused3 guess I gotta cancel....

Nope...cuz he's not that "H" word. In fact, I don't quite know what to call him!

Oh, wow, really? Is that what you're stuck on? You are not a passholder? Or are you? They are having terrific rates out there for AP's...they just blasted emails for $89 for moderates, so I am wondering if they are doing any high end stuff...hmmm. You said AKL was booked, as my feeble mind remembers.

Hey Homey! Yes, I flipped out when I logged in and Webmaster gave us the boot. So, I panicked, instead of reading through the posts to see the new thread...PM'd Kimmar, and she left breadcrumbs for me. Phew! Have you been watching the WS? They say this is the least watched WS in a long time, down 24 percent from last year. Since I live among Rays fans, and all they keep saying is they waited 10 years for a WS win, I am a Phillies fan!

I haven't been watching much of it. Go Phillies! :cheer2:

So, what's the cert for? I hope you were able to get through some chapters last night.

I do software support - an accounting program called Navision Financials. The last version I worked on was almost 8 years ago (I left when my oldest was born) so my certification had lapsed. I have to say, it's much harder to learn now with my post-kids brain, not to mention all the interruptions!

By the way, everyone, it was 42 degrees here in WDW this morning! The frost is on the old Mickey pumpkin for sure here! I think we broke a cold record for coldest night in October.

My fault, I took her to her Music TOgether class in it...THINKING it was the day to dress up the kids..WRONG..its this Thursday!!
Needless to say, she loved it, I was a bit red faced!! OOPS! Nothing like walking into a classroom with 1o other little ones and their moms.....and me asking, Why isnt everyone dressed up?! DUH!

:rotfl2:

Although mine is another story...yes, I am dressing up. Hee hee.:rolleyes1

We'll need some pictures!

What certification is it? One of my best friends (since 7th grade) has all those certs (MCSA or something like that). She works for Switchboard.com, somewhere out near you, like I want to say Southboro. She lives in Natick.

Pictures, huh? Well, I must warn you...I'll give a hint. It IS an election year, isn't it?!

Yes, that's correct. You will see lots of Christmas decorations already up at that point to get you in the holiday mood. :thumbsup2

Where are you staying again?

Excellent! We will be staying at WL next Thursday (11/6) and then at AKV for the remaining 4 nights (11/7-11/11).

What???? :scared1: Please tell me that you are just kidding!

Sorry, not kidding. Although I am currently laughing at the Tampa Bay Rays freezing their butts off up in Philly! This is a freak event...it is not normally anywhere near this cold in October. This is more like December weather. It is due to warm up starting tomorrow again.

Well, if you want to do a meet and greet, nothing big, just a toast, or whatever, like the rest, just let me know. I love meeting my homies!

I'd love to, but I think that it will be too hard during my November trip with my sister and her kids. How about during my December solo trip? My resorts for that trip are:
12/3 BWV
12/4-9 SSR
12/9-14 BCV

Also I will have a car so I don't mind where we meet.

No pressure, YOU ARE ON VACAY! I understand totally. A solo trip, how cool!

Mine is software-specific - I think it's "Microsoft Dynamics Solution Developer" or something like that. This one is for programming - I have to get another one in a month or so for the Financials side.

Yes, pictures please!

You're telling me! Usually its in the 50's in October and it was snowing yesterday, crazy Philly weather! Thank goodness it will be 62 degrees when I'm at the parade on friday!!

Go Phils 80'-08'...way to break the William Penn Curse!

You all are very persuasive for the WW program. I lost 113 pounds using NutriSystem two years ago and have pretty much kept it off. But I need to lose some more and don't want to go that route again. I will let you know what my decision is after taking a look at the online offer. Thanks for the push! :goodvibes

I meant to ask you post your trip, was there a lot of "damage" done from all the Disney food? I recall you saying you were going to weigh yourself right before you left and when you returned....that is what I plan to do as well, I'm a bit nervous at how much it will set me back! I know every bite will be worth it though. :thumbsup2

Please do let us know your decision and good luck with it! 113 pounds is just incredible, congratulations again!

Brookelizabeth - you are almost there!!! :dance3:

:yay: :woohoo: I'll be single digit dancing on Friday!

I've been watching the Orlando weather and can't believe how cold it is down there! It's only about 10 degrees warmer than Minnesota! I hope it warms up soon, I was looking forward to mid 70's, lower 80's.

I havent been able to get Ava out of her Sleeping Beauty dress/costume since last THursday..lol
DUH!

Oh, that's so cute about Ava wanting to be in her costume! At least she'll be ready for this Thursday, eh? :rotfl:

I have to say, this is one of the really cool things about living in Celebration. You find out what people do for a living and say, "Wow, you really do that? How cool is that?!!!"

That's how it was when I lived in NYC too. I was always amazed at my friends' jobs. One was a VJ on VH1, a few were on Broadway, one was a professional tennis player, another did filming for documentries on TV...it's just amazing and facinating to hear all about their work! I bet that party is going to be really, really cool!

....can YOU say H-U-S-B-A-N-D??? :furious: ...and to think - I actually got ressies at WL for $633.38 for the 2 nights w/tax (woods view!)...:confused3 guess I gotta cancel....

He is the one who suggested it!!!!!!!!!!!! No, no, no. That's just silly! I love the fact that you haven't canceled yet though...;) I say SOLO TRIP FOR KIM! ;)

I do software support

I do software support too! Software for auditing and risk management. I love my job!

(MCSA or something like that)

MCSE. (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)

I'm a geek.

Thanks for reminding me that I had planned to post this, brookelizabeth! I weighed myself the morning that we left for WDW and the morning after we returned. I had gained about 3.5 pounds in the 6 days of gorging and guzzling that we did. I am happy to report that I have taken those pounds off plus an additional pound. Now I need to really work on taking off more before the holidays get here. That is one reason WW has been looking good to me.

I also like pilferk's plan of eating what I like but in much moderated portions. I have to contemplate how I can do that, and am thinking possibly about purchasing a small bowl and plate where the smaller portions would look a little more substantial. I think many times we simply fill our plates and don't think about how much we are actually putting on there.

Wow....nice to know I'm surrounded by fellow computer geeks!

I'm a computer guy, too. Application administration, design and development, database work and reporting, etc.

:)

....you must understand, this is what he does ALL THE TIME!!! He deprives me of my pre-vaca pleasure [what I call the 'P & A' phase (planning & anticipation)...] there have been times where he'll be dragging his feet right up to the last day.....DRIVES ME NUTS! :headache: ....then, he lays the guilt on me that we only went to WDW in the first place because of ME....:guilty:

Kim, I am so sorry. I totally misunderstood your HUSBAND comment! CJsMom has the same problem! What's the deal with these Non-Disney husbands?! Bad hubbies, bad hubbies.

THIS IS WHY I AM IN DEEP CUCCA! I can't get away from it! I try to run, but... :rolleyes1 :crazy2:

Comment on the moderation...Phil, because of his GPS, cannot eat large portions of food. It'll make him physically sick. So, I always say he just eats the same junk, smaller portions. He and I disagree on that whole thing. I feel that doctors are making so much money off of that operation, why bother training anyone to eat properly. Just cut 'em open and take out 2/3 of the stomach. It's a horrible operation, with so many terrible side effects. But obese people just get so desperate. I just find that there is a huge lack of education as to re-teaching people how to eat. Portion control is the name of the game, surgery or no surgery. I agree.

I am sorry too, kimmar.... my DH is not WDW obsessed, but the promise of a relaxing resort stay, some good food and drink and the occasional meeting with great new friends usually gets him in the door, so to speak.

He often goes with me and never sets foot in the parks! But he does enjoy the good food and the time alone to read or contemplate toe lint (or whatever he does while I am in the parks) so that usually works for us. He can also be a very personable DIS-meet attendee too! ;)

Yes, he is a sport! I can attest to that!

I guess I am blessed. When you meet your other half AT Disney, you have nothing to worry about!:cloud9:
