I am hoping to work on it tomorrow, or maybe tonight if I don't fall asleep first! :rotfl:

No, I meant I was still looking waiting for a job:rotfl: I wasn't trying to rush you!

You didn't miss much. Very quiet actually! We wished each other Merry Christmas & Happy New Year and I know some of us brooded that we weren't at WDW with you!!!

What happend at Jiko? (I had a bad dinner there once, but nobody believed me! :confused3 )

Did I copy you?!!! I didn't do it on purpose, honest! Well, I like your taste!!!

We were there on Christmas night and they were out of three of their entree offerings (including their filet and their braised short ribs)! And what we ended up with was just... OK. Our server was horrible. She seemed to not really care that we were there. An example: Kathrin asked what the "vegetable of the moment was" and her response was "I don't know; it changes every day." Kathrin asked if it would be at all possible for her to find out! It took two reminders to find out. She finally asked one of the sous chefs and he shrugged his shoulders! Our ADR was for 8:30 so it isn't as if she had not been serving dinner for a while. :confused3

I generally tip 20% or more and was tempted to give her less than 15%. Bob was upset that I gave her that much. She was truly awful. That is the second poor server we have had there. The last time our meal outweighed the poor service though. Not this time. We won't be back for a while.

Maybe we were brainstorming and that is why we picked the same ticker! and, of course we have great taste! I will probably change mine again, so no worries! :rotfl:

Oops! Sorry for the misunderstanding. :rotfl:

I hope that 2009 finds you in the perfect job and very soon.

 I've had a couple of unenthusiastic servers atJiko in the past year. I expect better-than-average service when dining at a Signature restaurant (and I agree with you on the tip. ::yes::)

Personally, I'm just as happy to eat at Boma and serve myself!!

We did that for breakfast that morning! YUMMY!! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Okay -- here's a try with Photobucket -- just a random AKL picture, but I like it.

(It worked! And by the way, BensMom, I soooo want to live where you do. <grin> )

Great shot!! :thumbsup2

Happy New Year to all! I wish I could beam you down here with me!

Me too!! :cloud9:

I wanted to stop in and wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our WDW trip was wonderful. The two trips we made to AKL were really nice, although our Jiko dinner on Christmas night was not good at all. :(

Our trip ended with a phone call (received at MCO just before we boarded) from one of Bob's aunts letting him know that his mother was in the hospital and not doing well at all. By the time we got to BWI and slept a couple of hours he got another call with the news that she had died. Long story short... he is still in PA with his 91 year old father and brothers and Kristin and I made a 36 hour marathon round trip for the viewings and funeral.

Not the best way to end 2008, but we did get some good news this week too. Kathrin was offered a job! I think she will probably take it because it is something that will make her happy, but the $10,000 pay difference has made her take a couple of days to make the final decision. But, she DOES have a job if she wants it!! :yay:

I hope 2009 brings us all some good fortune, good health and great happiness.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad your trip was good, and congrats to your daughter on the job offer! :cheer2:

Happy New Year everyone!! :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear about your mother in law. :grouphug:

Well everyone, back to a topic from a month or 2 ago, I bit the bullet today and signed up for Weight Watchers Online. It will be interesting to see how I like the on-line version.

In the past, I have done the weekly meeting version and while in the beginning it helped me, I found that over time the meetings annoyed me more than anything.

Good luck with WW online. I was thinking about it last year - but it seemed a little pricey to me for an online thing. :confused3

Awesome:thumbsup2 I lost 75 pounds on WW, I was a Lifetime Member:goodvibes However, since being laid off, I have ''fallen off the wagon''...So my #1 resolution is to find a job of course, but #2 is to get back on track at WW...Right now I cant afford the meetings or the online, but since I know what I am doing anyway, it should be ok....My BF put together the new exercise machine I got for Christmas last night, and I actually wrote down my breakfast and calculated the points, and will track.:goodvibes
Only I've forgotten how many points I am allowed:confused3 So I guestimated 24.

Happy New Year everyone!

PNO4ATE – I’m so sorry about your MIL. Your family is in my prayers.

BensMom – wish I could have been there too, but from the reports of how crowded MK was, I think I’ll ask to be beamed this week instead, lol!

Donald is #1 – good luck with WW!

Athenna – I just know you’ll find your perfect job soon!

Hi Donald, that's great! I lost track a bit on WW during the Christmas season, but I just bought new running shoes yesterday, so I am ready to start back again as well! I really like the online version, hope you like it too! Good luck with it! :goodvibes
