AKL concierge - room location help

Okay you former AKL concierge guests. Can you help me with a good room location? Would like a nice view of the savannah that isn't a long walk to the lounge.

Any suggestions on what general area to request? Thanks.

My favorite rooms are on the Zebra Trail, the first "pod" that has the Kuba Suite. The second "pod" of rooms are also close to the elevator that goes down to the pool, Mara, and laundry room.

So, ask for Zebra Trail, savannah view, first or second "pod".

You'll just have to walk down the main hall (same length as the lobby) and get on an elevator to take you up to the 6th floor.
Not a long walk at all.

Ooops! I should've added that those rooms I told you about are on the 5th floor, the lounge in on the 6th.

We've stayed on the 6th floor and we did enjoy our views from our rooms, but the 5th floor Zebra Trail has more animals to view from your balcony.

If you're interested in the 6th floor, I do have the different bedding arraingments for each room. There's only 15 rooms on the 6th floor and they are the most convienient to the lounge.

Or, you could be like me, and in two trips I have requested to be no where near the concierge rooms, but instead at the very end of the trails! I LOVE the view out there and it feels like the savannah is all yours and no one elses!

We were in the first room of the 3rd pod on the 5th floor during our last trip. What a great room! We were right across from the elevator that went down to the pool and Mara. You had to walk down the hall to catch the elevator up to the lounge. Not too bad a walk, but we never went to the lounge unless we were going out or coming back in.
